Hey everyone! As most of you know I’m not at home right now because Luke, Jake, and I are all at the 2023 Bernina University event in Dallas, TX for the week. In case you’re not familiar, Bernina U is a yearly educational conference where Bernina vendors from all over the world gather together to take classes, learn about new product releases, updates, gadgets and any new technology coming out. It’s really a cool event! Today’s big topic of discussion is the new Bernina 790 PRO. This awesome machine is what Bernina is calling the next level of sewing, quilting, and embroidery, and they’re not kidding! It was super fun to be able to play around and explore it as they explained all the bells and whistles. I am honestly impressed. Everything about it is obviously designed for a fast yet quiet, more precise, and joyful sewing experience.

Featuring Bernina’s Pinpoint Laser Technology, their state of the art Automatic Needle Threader, and 4-Point Placement, this machine definitely means business. Plus, this thing is WiFi enabled! It has an app you can use to transfer designs directly from your BERNINA Embroidery Software 9 directly to the machine, or vice versa. Plus, the embroidery process can be monitored on your smartphone remotely in real-time. How cool is that!? It takes a lot to impress me and the 790 PRO definitely has my attention. They are really coming out with some neat technology these days and Bernina really seems to be embracing it, which is why they’re one of the best! That’s one of the reasons why I enjoy this event as much as I do. Every day I get to see something new and exciting which only inspires my creativity more! It’s awesome.

Time sure is flying by this week. Bernina U 2023 will already be over with for another year in just a few short days. I can hardly wrap my mind around the fact that it will be July the next time my feet hit WI soil, but by the looks of the upcoming forecast, the weather is about to make me believe it. Summer is without a doubt in full-swing which means I need to start thinking about my Fourth of July celebrations and what I need to do to get prepared for the big day. I’m certainly in no shortage of red, white, and blue between my studio and my sewing room at home, especially since we’re currently working on several patriotic projects, including samples for my latest fabric line “American Gatherings II,” due to arrive at Primitive Gatherings this winter. It seems unfair that we have to wait until the snow flies to see such a summery line, but for me it works out perfectly since I like to work ahead of the holidays. That way I’m finished with festive projects in time to make use of them in my seasonal décor. If you haven’t seen this new line and you love a patriotic theme, you really need to check it out. It consists of a collection of reds, creams, and blues, adorned with stars, states, flags, and other timeless patriotic prints. Take a look!
