Hey everyone! Have you had a chance to get started on the first block release of my Joyful Gatherings Quilt-Along yet? Thanks to all of you who downloaded it as soon as it was available on Thursday… I love the fact that you are as excited for this QAL as I am! Of course, as with any new pattern there’s usually a bug or two that surfaces once it’s had a chance to be out in the real world. That being said, I’d like to take a minute to clarify a couple of things that have been causing a bit of confusion since we launched the QAL late last week.
The first thing I need to shed light on is where to go to download your free pattern(s) each week. All quilt-along information for any QAL or SAL that I am either hosting or involved in can be found on my landing page at http://www.lisabongean.com under the “Quilt-Alongs” tab. To find information on the Joyful Gatherings Quilt-Along specifically, simply click the “Quilt-Alongs” tab and then the “Joyful Gatherings” icon. Once you’re on the Joyful Gatherings Quilt-Along Info Page you will see a correlating button for each block that has been released. The current block will be available to download FREE for one week. Once the next block is released, you will be able to purchase past blocks as a digital download from our regular website by clicking the correlating block button. They will be $3.00 each.
The second matter at hand is an iddy-biddy little “typo” that was discovered in the cutting chart for the two green tree blocks. The third line down initially read: 4 – 2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles – side of block. This is incorrect! The correct instruction should read 4 – 2″ x 4″ – side of block (see chart below). Special thanks to Marcelle B. For immediately calling attention to this boo boo!
Lastly, due to a few snags and snafus that we’ve run into so far, I’ve made the executive decision to release patterns for this QAL every Thursday, rather than the original plan of every Tuesday. Going forward patterns will now be posted here on the Joyful Gatherings Quilt-Along Info Page each Thursday, central standard time. They will remain posted as a FREE download until a new block is released the following week.
