Hey everyone! I hope you had a chance to get outside to enjoy the nice, HOT weather we had over the weekend. I know I’ve said it before, but I think that after today the warm temps that we’ve been seeing over the last couple of days might finally be done for the year. No matter how much summer seems to resist, there is an undeniable chill in the after the sun goes down that can only mean one thing. Winter is definitely coming! I know, I know. I’m not ready either but I also understand that there isn’t much I can do about it – especially living in a state like WI. The only thing I can do to try and make the idea of it better, is to get pumped about all the things I love about fall and the holiday season, which is just around the corner (either that or pack up and go to FL for six months like a lot of people do…but, who’s got time for that!?).
October’s arrival means a couple of things for us here at PG. Number one, it’s my birthday month – woo hoo!! If you recall, last year our website woes were still in full-swing around this time, so I was unable to do anything fun to celebrate like I normally would, such as my annual free birthday pattern for instance. I’m sorry about that, but I’m also happy to say that those days are in the past! This year I will indeed have a little something for you in honor of my 29th born-on date… My actual birthday is in late October, so watch for it here on the blog closer to the end of the month.
Almost as equally important, PG itself is having a birthday of its own! During LIVE last week, I announced that we have officially hit 20 years in business at Primitive Gatherings, and two official full years here at our new location in Larsen, WI. How did that even happen? It feels like just yesterday that I was dabbling with the idea of “Backyard Quilts,” and starting a small business out of my basement. I really couldn’t be more proud of what this little dream of mine has become! I want to say thank you to my family, friends, my top-notch staff, and especially to all of you for the support over the years. I truly could not have done this without everyone I just mentioned, and there really isn’t a way for me to express how grateful I am in words. That’s why throughout the month of October, 2023 we’re going to be having special daily deals each week. It’s my way of saying thank you from the bottom of my heart!
