Twilight Stars Quilt-Along – Block Release #17

Hey everyone, happy Friday! I’m back again to share my next exciting quilt-along block release as we get ready to hunker down for another wonderful – and chilly – weekend. As tradition will have it (for us Wisconsinites, anyway), right along with fish fries and Old Fashioneds, Fridays are also now lovingly designated for Twilight Stars! If you are following along and have managed to stay caught up, you should have 32 completed blocks in your stack so far, with two more making their way onto the scene… right now! Today’s block release numbers are #55 and #59.

Still on the fence about starting this QAL? One of the best things about it is that you can start at anytime and catch up fairly easily at your own pace. Patterns can be found in my book Triangle Gatherings (required to participate along with a few other items), which can be purchased on the Primitive Gatherings website by clicking HERE. Blocks will be posted every Friday around NOON Central Standard Time, with a correlating blog post shortly after. Block releases can be found both here on the blog and in the “Quilt-Along” area under “Twilight Stars” at http://www.lisabongean.com. Never heard of Twilight Stars? You can read all about it by clicking HERE. In addition, a full list of details and required supplies can be found at the Twilight Stars Info Page by hitting the button below!

Have you been one of our lucky share winners yet? Thank you to everyone who has taken the time each week to post photos of their finished blocks on social media. I’m really loving how your displays seem to be getting more and more creative as the weeks go by, no doubt trying to catch the eye of a certain prize paTROLL we call Heidi. Keep it up… You could be next! Not sure how to go about it? All you have to do is post a photo of your completed blocks each week before the release of the next batch, including the required book Triangle Gatherings and Primitive Gatherings Triangle Paper in the picture. Please also include the hashtag #TwilightStarsQAL in your post! Heidi will choose a winner each week until the end of the QAL, which we will announce during my LIVE show on Thursday. The prize for sharing Week #16 goes to Kathy Kurtz Spannaus! Beautiful work Kathy – and thanks for posting. Your charm pack and caramels are on the way!

Alright kids, class is officially adjourned for the weekend! Between these new Twilight Stars block releases, MBH5, and Joyful Gatherings, you should have plenty to keep you busy until I have the next load of QAL releases ready to go! Don’t forget that we are celebrating 20 years of Primitive Gatherings throughout the month of October, with exclusive weekly sales and special “pop-up” episodes of CommentSold throughout the month. For instance, now through Sunday October 8th, 2023 all wool yardage, wool charms, and wool bundles are all 20% OFF! Didn’t know? You better get on it! In fact, let me help you… Click the button below to shop all PG Wool!

Be sure to keep an eye on the blog and the Facebook pages for any impromptu, “pop-up” CommentSold sales that might you know… pop-up over the next couple of weeks. In fact, Monday feels like it migggght just be a good day for one – hint-hint! All I can tell you for sure is to have a great weekend, stitch a lot, and get rested up so you can shop with a clear head when the time comes. Have a great weekend everyone, and I will see you all soon! ~Lisa

I’m looking forward to a change in the weather and more stitching, although I don’t think my relatives arriving from Florida will be a fan!

Loved your live anniversary show! It was so special to learn about how you got started. I’ve always admired your creativity & knowledge. I had the opportunity to take a class from you in kuhlman, Alabama & it was so fun!
