Twilight Stars Quilt-Along – Block Release 18

Good morning! -er …afternoon, or whatever it is. Hello! It’s been a wet and gloomy day since early this morning, so it’s kind of hard to tell what time of day it is by just looking out the window. Either way, PG is a large, steel building so I can tell you for a fact without even looking outside that it’s raining pitchforks as we speak – and very much in stereo sound. I always say there’s only one thing to do when it turns out to be a massive “rain day” like this one, and I bet you can guess what it is… STITCH, of course! Conveniently enough, this little mini Monsoon of ours showed up just in time for the next Twilight Stars block release, and is forecasted to keep squalling for the duration of the weekend. What that means for me, is that I’ll be staying inside to work on several ongoing projects that I’m currently in the middle of (and some new ones too), which will hopefully put me ahead of the race by Monday morning. It’s always nice to start the week out at the top of my game, so I’m looking forward to that!

As I mentioned, we have two new Twilight Stars block releases ready to go to start the weekend off right. It’s time to make room in your stack for blocks #49 and #50!

Haven’t started yet? Like I keep saying… It’s really not a problem! You can start this quilt-along at anytime. Patterns can be found in my book Triangle Gatherings (required to participate along with a few other items), which can be purchased on the Primitive Gatherings website by clicking HERE. Blocks will be posted every Friday around NOON Central Standard Time, with a correlating blog post shortly after. Block releases can be found both here on the blog and in the “Quilt-Along” area under “Twilight Stars” at http://www.lisabongean.com. Never heard of Twilight Stars? You can read all about it by clicking HERE. In addition, a full list of details and required supplies can be found at the Twilight Stars Info Page by hitting the button below!

And now for the most important part… The prizes! Have you been remembering to share your progress for a chance to win a package from Heidi’s famous prize vault? All you have to do is post a photo of your completed blocks each week before the release of the next batch, including the required book Triangle Gatherings and Primitive Gatherings Triangle Paper in the picture. Please also include the hashtag #TwilightStarsQAL in your post! Heidi will choose a winner each week until the end of the QAL, which we will announce during my LIVE show on Thursday. This week a big thank you goes out to Peggy Gerrits for sharing her work in our STITCH with Lisa Bongean Facebook group. Beautiful work, Peggy!

Don’t forget that we are celebrating 20 years of Primitive Gatherings throughout the month of October, with exclusive weekly sales and special “pop-up” episodes of CommentSold throughout the month. For instance, now through Sunday October 15th, 2023 all printed patterns, PDF patterns, and books are 20% OFF! Didn’t know? You better get on it! In fact, let me help you… Click the button below to shop Primitive Gatherings!

Well gang, that’s a wrap! But before I blow this popsicle stand for the weekend I want to give a huge shout out to Dianne D. and Tammy M. for leaving comments on the blog last week. Thank you both! Check your email for a prize confirmation letter from Heidi and enjoy your prize! Feeling left out prize wise? Our prize troll would LOVE to send you a little somethin’, somethin’, but you have to do your part too! All you need to do to be considered for a prize is leave me a comment here on the blog – that’s it! That’s seriously about as easy as it gets… Have a great weekend, stay dry, and stitch every day. See you next week! ~Lisa

Lisa, I get to visit your store in person tomorrow and I’m so excited! We live in a metal-sided farmhouse and the wind and rain pounded us all night. I was happy to send it east to Wisconsin. You’re welcome 😉 I still plan to join the Twilight Stars QAL!

I am so enjoying this quilt along! I’m currently in Florida and staying inside as it is sooooo hot and humid here. As I type this, it is 7 in the evening and current temperature is 85 but feels like 103. Like you in the rainy cold, I think I’ll stay in and do some stitching. Thank you Lisa and your staff for everything you do! One day, I’m going to visit.

I have the book, papers, background and several fabrics so I’m ready to start. I made sample blocks in 6 and 8″ because I couldn’t decide but the 8″ won!
