Anyone else feeling like this week has been one big giant game of catch up? I feel like I have been running around non-stop, scrambling to find “normal” again after being away from home for a while. You all know how that goes… It sure doesn’t take very long for things to fall out of “order” when the matriarch of the household/business is away, even if only for a few days. Needless to say, I’m looking forward to laying low at home this weekend with just me, Nick, that goofy dog of ours, and maybe the grand boys if I’m lucky. I’ll have to let you know if that actually works out for me…
I hate to say it, but I’ve been so busy this week that I almost completely forgot that it’s Twilight Stars Block Release day. Whoops! No worries, though. Like usual, I had my block numbers selected and pieced ahead of time, so that helped. I just needed to find a few spare minutes between running errands this morning, dealing with the cable guy, and giving a quick tour over lunch, in order to get them assembled in time for this post. If you’re on task with the QAL schedule you should have 40 completed blocks in your stack at this point, with the next two on deck. Block releases for Week #21 of the Twilight Stars Quilt-Along are #37 and #84.

Just discovering the Twilight Stars Quilt-Along and wondering how to get started? Patterns can be found in my book Triangle Gatherings (required to participate along with a few other items), which can be purchased on the Primitive Gatherings website by clicking HERE. Blocks will be posted every Friday around NOON Central Standard Time, with a correlating blog post shortly after. Block releases can be found both here on the blog and in the “Quilt-Along” area under “Twilight Stars” at http://www.lisabongean.com. Never even heard of Twilight Stars? You can read all about it by clicking HERE. In addition, a full list of details and required supplies can be found at the Twilight Stars Info Page by hitting the button below!

Hopefully by this stage of the game you all know the drill on how to use your skills and participation in the Twilight Stars Quilt-Along as a way to win yourself a nice little prize! All you have to do is post a photo of your completed blocks each week before the release of the next batch, including the required book Triangle Gatherings and Primitive Gatherings Triangle Paper in the picture. Please also include the hashtag #TwilightStarsQAL in your post! Heidi will choose a winner each week until the end of the QAL, which we will announce during my LIVE show on Thursday. The prize for sharing Week #20 blocks goes to Nicole Morrell! Nice job Nicole… Dapper Mr. Winston Churchill III looks especially happy about the prize coming your way!

As long as we’re on the subject of prizes, let’s talk about how you can also win something just for reading my blog. There’s a good reason why I always remind you to leave me a comment after my posts. It really does help us thrive in the big bad world of social media and algorithms – which just a fancy way of saying it helps us to show up when people do a search for the things we’re associated with. Techy mumbo-jumbo aside, it’s also nice to hear your thoughts on whatever it is you’d like to share with me! Don’t be shy… Comment away! You might even win something for it like Wanda W. and Kimberly Anne B. just did. Thank you and congratulations, stitchers! You both have a prize coming your way (if you think you are one of these lucky winners, please check your email for a prize confirmation letter from heidin@primitivegatherings.us!)!
Whew! Are we there yet? I think I’ve had just about enough work for this week. And since I’m the boss, I think I just decided to blow this popsicle stand – for today, anyway. LOL! Before I go, just a heads up to all of you – it’s that time of year again, which means that fall hours start this coming Monday, November 6th, 2023.

PLEASE make note of these hours so you don’t find yourself sitting all alone in the parking lot in the dark, wondering where everyone else is at… That’s the last thing we want! Come see us when we’re open – it’s way more fun that way, I promise! On that note, I wish you all a warm, cozy, relaxing, safe, and STITCHful weekend. See you Monday! ~LHB
