Hey everyone, happy Friday to you! It’s been a cold and dreary day here in east central WI but we’re making the best of it as we always do – by stitching! There’s a full-house over at The Gathering for Linda Hrcka’s Custom Longarm class so I’ve been sewing the day away up in my personal studio with a handful of stitchers from around the country who are here on retreat. It’s been an awesome day full of laughter, fun, learning, and of course… Good food! Something tells me this might just become an annual thing. Thanks for a great day, ladies!

We spent our time working on whatever projects we had on our to-do piles that required attention. Kathy from MI even managed to finish a quilt top she’s been working on “here and there” for the last year or so. She said she doesn’t really have a specific purpose for the piece, it’s just the stunning result of sewing collected scraps together over time. Simple, yet still a beautiful and intricate piece of art… I love it. Excellent work, Kathy!

I for one, did some major catching up on my Twilight Stars Quilt-Along blocks this afternoon. I’m not necessarily behind, but I was definitely not ahead of the game where I like to be. Now I can say that I’m set for the next couple of weeks, but as I’ve figured out along the way, that’s not saying much. The time will fly and I’ll need to make more before I know it. The good news is, today’s block releases are done and ready to rock. You can officially add block #’s 83 and 86 to the release list!

In case you’re wondering what the Twilight Stars fuss is all about, patterns can be found in my book Triangle Gatherings (required to participate along with a few other items), which can be purchased on the Primitive Gatherings website by clicking HERE. Blocks will be posted every Friday around NOON Central Standard Time, with a correlating blog post shortly after. Block releases can be found both here on the blog and in the “Quilt-Along” area under “Twilight Stars” at http://www.lisabongean.com. Never even heard of Twilight Stars? You can read all about it by clicking HERE. In addition, a full list of details and required supplies can be found at the Twilight Stars Info Page by hitting the button below!

Ahh, and now it’s time for the best part of the quilt-along – PRIZE TIME! In case you’re not aware, you could be eligible for a prize just by participating in the QAL! All you have to do is post a photo of your completed blocks each week before the release of the next batch, including the required book Triangle Gatherings and Primitive Gatherings Triangle Paper in the picture. Please also include the hashtag #TwilightStarsQAL in your post! Heidi will choose a winner each week until the end of the QAL, which we will announce during my LIVE show on Thursday. The prize for sharing Week #21 blocks goes to Kathy Lindsay! Great work Lindsay. Your charm pack and caramels are on the way!

And of course, we can’t forget my blog comment prize winners. You’re my algorithm bread and butter, and I love you for it! I truly appreciate your comments every week, which is why I love to throw you goodies for your efforts. This week special thanks goes out to Jo Anne L. and Ellen T.! You know what to do… If you think you are one of these lucky winners, please check your email for a prize confirmation letter from heidin@primitivegatherings.us so she can get your prize in the mail A.S.A.P.!
Well gang, that just about wraps it up for another busy week of life here at Primitive Gatherings. All I can say is, I hope you love all the excitement as much as I do because there’s certainly more where that came from – I’m just getting started! Don’t forget, next week we’ll be celebrating the the kick-off to the holiday season with the arrival of Primitive Christmas which is this Thursday, November 16th through Saturday, November 18th (both in-store and online), and Sunday, November 19th, 2023 (online only, the retail shop will be CLOSED)

Are you ready for the holidays? I don’t know about you but I’m starting to feel the itch. I’m getting antsy! I love Thanksgiving and Christmas even more so I say, bring it on! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend full of relaxation, productivity, and as always – stitching! See you Monday. ~Lisa
