Hey everyone! Are you ready for Thanksgiving? I’m actually feeling pretty good about everything I’ve done in preparation so far, for any shenanigans that may happen during the holiday weekend. It’s a nice feeling. I – almost – have all my ducks in a row (…er… more like turkeys, maybe?), and my grocery shopping is just about done for any cooking or baking I plan to do over the next several days. That definitely helps. We’re not doing anything crazy for the holiday this year, mostly just laying low at home with a nice big meal in the works for Thursday. Nick has been up north deer hunting all week and plans to be home for dinner at noon. He’ll hang out just long enough to overeat, visit with me our goofy little dog for a minute, and rest up a bit before heading right back up to deer camp for the remainder of the weekend. While he’s gone and out of the house (and my hair), my goal is to do a bit of housekeeping while I switch out my fall décor with a more wintery/Christmassy kind of vibe. I’m super excited about that because – who doesn’t love decorating for Christmas? I’ve been waiting for this all year!!!
Once I finish decorating, my plan for the next coupe of days is simple – stitch and chill. I don’t know about you, but I have a stock pile of things to work on so finding something to do isn’t going to be an issue. One of the main dents I’d like to make is in my Twilight Stars Quilt-Along block progress, so that I can get ahead of the game where I like to be – which is kind of funny that I should mention that because it actually brings me to the reason for this post. If you’re following along with the Twilight Stars Quilt-Along you’re probably already aware that due to our big Primitive Christmas event last week, I ended up postponing my detailed post on Block Release #23 because I honestly couldn’t sacrifice the time to sit down and do it. There’s only so many hours in a day and blog posts take more time than you think! Anyway, in other words I still owe you a post about Block Release #23, so here we go!
For those of you who have not already checked the Twilight Stars Info Page for Block Release #23, they are block numbers 13 and 15. If you’re not sure what any of this is about and you’d like more information about the Twilight Stars Quilt-Along, you can read all about it on the Twilight Stars Info Page by clicking HERE!

Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving and nobody will be here, we’re obviously not having our usual Thursday LIVE show. To make up for it we aired a special early addition last Tuesday at 9:00 a.m., which you can still catch by clicking the link below! Hopefully you were able to watch, but if you missed it I’m about to spill at least part of the beans by giving a shout-out to Joyce Dome Triezenberg – our lucky block share prize winner for Block Release #22! Check your Facebook messages Joyce… There are caramels and fabric waiting there for you, we just need your mailing address!!!

I really love all the different block varieties I’ve been seeing posted on our Facebook pages! That being said, I hope you’ve been remembering to post your progress for a chance to win one of Heidi’s famous prizes! All you have to do is post a photo of your completed blocks each week before the release of the next batch, including the required book Triangle Gatherings and Primitive Gatherings Triangle Paper in the picture. Please also include the hashtag #TwilightStarsQAL in your post!
The next block release in the Twilight Stars Quilt-Along will be Release #24, which will be posted to the Twilight Stars Info Page by NOON (CST) this coming Friday, November 24th, 2023, with a detailed blog post to follow by 5:00 p.m. As always, patterns can be found in my book Triangle Gatherings (required to participate along with a few other items), which can be purchased on the Primitive Gatherings website by clicking HERE. Blocks will be posted every Friday around NOON Central Standard Time, with a correlating blog post shortly after. Block releases can be found both here on the blog and in the “Quilt-Along” area under “Twilight Stars” at http://www.lisabongean.com. Never even heard of Twilight Stars? You can read all about it by clicking HERE. In addition, a full list of details and required supplies can be found at the Twilight Stars Info Page by hitting the button below!

Alright friends! It’s time to hang it up for the day – and holiday weekend for that matter! I think I can speak for my entire staff when I say T.G.I… Thanksgiving vacation! I think saying we could all really use a break after Primitive Christmas, is probably the understatement of the year… With that being said, please remember that the retail shop is now CLOSED until Monday, November 27th, 2023 to give our staff time off to spend with their friends and family. I hope you do the same! I also wish you a wonderful evening and a happy Thanksgiving full of family, fun, laughter, friendship, food, and of course – stitching! See you soon, everyone! ~Lisa
