HOT Off the APQ Press!

Looking for a fresh new winter project that you can easily tackle in a weekend? I have just the quilt for you! I’m proud to announce that once again, I’ve teamed up with American Patchwork and Quilting on another stunning design that features my Lakeside Gatherings Flannels Collection. You all know how I love an efficient pattern that doesn’t waste a lot of fabric – especially if it yields more than one project! This little dazzler came to be after I realized that the scraps left behind when making my quilt “Shimmering Lake” (from the Lakeside Gatherings Flannels project collection) were exactly what I needed to create a second, smaller project that I’m calling “Swimming Upstream.”

“Swimming Upstream” finishes at 40 1/8″ x 50″, and will require 2 3/4 yds of backing fabric. Finished blocks are 3 1/2″ square. It’s not a very large quilt, which makes it a great option for a charming hanging accent on your lake house wall, or as an adorable quilt for a baby or small child. Even better, this little quilt is fairly simple to make and could easily be completed over a weekend if you put your mind to it.

The pattern for “Swimming Upstream” can be found on pages 30 – 35 of the February, 2024 issue of American Patchwork and Quilting, which is sold separately for $9.99 wherever American Patchwork and Quilting is sold. We will have a *limited number of copies available with the purchase of the “Swimming Upstream” kit while supplies last at both the retail store and on our website by clicking the button below (*sorry – these copies are reserved for customers who purchase “Swimming Upstream” kits only. Individual copies are not available for sale at Primitive Gatherings). If you don’t already have a subscription, you can find copies of the issue in bookstores and on magazine racks wherever American Patchwork and Quilting is sold.

What do you think? Darling, right? I just love this little quilt. So cute and useful in so many ways! Don’t miss out on getting the pattern for “Swimming Upstream.” Remember how it went the last time we had a quilt featured in APQ? All I can say is, they go FAST! Click the link and be one of the first!!! Have a great night and I will see you tomorrow on CommentSold at 10:00 a.m. (CST)! ~Lisa

Congrats Lisa for having another quilt featured in PAQ magazine. I wish I could find the first magazine that your quilt was featured on cover, by time I was able to check out our stores they were all swooped up.

I just received my Am Patch. & Quilt. copy today! I opened it up to the TOC and saw the quilts… and stopped at the quilt with all the triangles, didn’t read who the designer was, went to the page. Voila! It was a Lisa quilt! ha! Should have known… I plan to dive into making your quilt. I love it!

I saw this quilt and knew it had to be yours. I love blue and white quilts in January for a calming vibe after all the red and green of Christmas. I will be adding this one to my collection.
