Twilight Stars Quilt-Along – Block Release #32

Hey everyone, happy Friday to you! It’s just about time to wrap things up around here for the weekend, but per PG tradition for the last 31 weeks and counting, I owe you another Twilight Star Quilt-Along block release before I can call it a week! I’m certainly ready… Are you? If you’re on track with the QAL schedule, you should have 62 completed blocks in your arsenal so far. 62!!! That’s a lot of blocks. They add up quick, don’t they!? In fact, you might as well call it 64 since you can now officially add block numbers 87 and 98 to the mix!

Have you been a lucky winner of one of Heidi’s QAL charm pack prizes yet? She’s officially sent out 31 of them to date, so if you’re answer is no, that means there are still at least appx 19 left to go… In other words, you still have a decent shot! All you have to do is post a photo of your completed blocks each week before the release of the next batch, including the required book Triangle Gatherings and Primitive Gatherings Triangle Paper in the picture. Please also include the hashtag #TwilightStarsQAL in your post! Heidi will choose a winner each week until the end of the QAL, which we will announce during my LIVE show on Thursday. The prize for sharing his block photos for Week #31 goes to, David Boggs! Great work, David… I hope you like free charm packs and caramels!!!

I’ve been seeing a lot of comments from people saying that they recently discovered the Twilight Stars QAL and that they are just getting ready to start. If you’re one of those people, WELCOME! As always, patterns can be found in my book Triangle Gatherings (required to participate along with a few other items), which can be purchased on the Primitive Gatherings website by clicking HERE. Blocks will be posted every Friday around NOON Central Standard Time, with a correlating blog post shortly after. Block releases can be found both here on the blog and in the “Quilt-Along” area under “Twilight Stars” at http://www.lisabongean.com. Never even heard of Twilight Stars? You can read all about it by clicking HERE. In addition, a full list of details and required supplies can be found at the Twilight Stars Info Page by hitting the button below!

In case you didn’t already know, I based Twilight Stars on my Rustic Gatherings fabric line, combined with Jackie MacDonald’s Halloween-themed collection, SpellboundBoth lines feature color palettes including rusty oranges and rich blacks, along with some nice grey selections from Rustic that go together beautifully. If your taste doesn’t include this particular color palette, that’s ok. There are plenty of alternative fabric combinations that will also work beautifully for this quilt. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the shop at 920-722-7233 or email store@primitivegatherings.us.

Whew! Just like that the week is over and it’s time for a little R&R. I love the holidays but I will admit that I’m glad to be through the gauntlet, and headed forward toward the rest of the year. With all the craziness going on for a while there, I realize I have been falling short on my blog comment prize winners so I figured a “double-prize day” is in order, so here we go… Sandra K., Melinda M., Janet H., and Linda M. – you are the lucky winners this week! You know what to do… Check your email for a prize confirmation from Heidi. She’ll take it from there! Haven’t heard from her and think you might be one of our lucky winners? You can also email her at heidin@primitivegatherings.us to claim your prize. Enjoy, and have a wonderful weekend. See you all Monday! ~Lisa

I just purchased the Twilight Stars book this week after seeing all of the wonderful blocks by others, I can’t wait to receive it and hopefully start making some blocks of my own. I love the sound of choosing your own block size – I wish I had been aware of it to start sooner, but it sounds like a book that will stand the test of time and could have many quilts come out of it. I have had months of not getting much sewing done, but am determined to pull out some UFOs and finish them up, with the first one being the Oh Say Can You Sew quilt from last year. At this point in time, I think it is going to be my most favorite quilt ever! I also just joined the Quilt Box………needless to say I am probably just burying myself in more UFO’s, but it will be so much fun.

Congratulations to ALL the winners this post! Wow! Lots of giveaways! I’m still posting my Twilight Stars but so far my name has not come up. That’s OK, I’ve seen two friends, Dana Doerfler and Susie Brown, come up already and that made me happy. Maybe I’ll get lucky in the next 19 weeks. Hahaha!
