Twilight Stars Quilt-Along – Block Release #34

Hey everyone, I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend! I’m spending some much needed down time at home today, and focusing my energy on everyday house stuff and resting up in general. I did need to sit down at my computer for at least a few minutes this afternoon because as I’m sure you noticed, I was not able to make a post regarding this week’s Twilight Stars block releases yesterday as scheduled. Our blog web host was having technical difficulties, which unfortunately meant I was unable to access my blog, and stuck in posting stasis until the issue was resolved. Luckily enough, they got it figured out and we can now resume the chaos – so let’s do it! Block releases for Week #34 of the Twilight Stars Quilt-Along are #14 and #95!

Are you having any fun yet?! If you’re on track with the QAL schedule, you should have 66 completed blocks to show for your hard work so far. That’s almost a whole quilt… With less than 20 weeks left to go! I think it’s really awesome that despite being 34 weeks in, I’m still getting weekly inquiries and comments about starting this QAL late in the game. If you’re on the fence, do it!!! You won’t regret it. Just wait til you see some of the finished results from stitchers who’ve been at it since the beginning. We can already tell, this is going to be one heck of a quilt!

If you just started – WELCOME! Block patterns can be found in my book Triangle Gatherings (required to participate along with a few other items), which can be purchased on the Primitive Gatherings website by clicking HERE. Blocks will be posted every Friday around NOON Central Standard Time, with a correlating blog post shortly after that same day (unless we run into a snafu like yesterday – then I’ll post as soon as I can). Block releases can be found both here on the blog and in the “Quilt-Along” area under “Twilight Stars” at http://www.lisabongean.com. Never even heard of Twilight Stars? You can read all about it by clicking HERE. In addition, a full list of details and required supplies can be found at the Twilight Stars Info Page by hitting the button below!

Another awesome perk of the Twilight Stars Quilt-Along is the PRIZES. Stitchers who post photos of their work on our social media pages are eligible to win a small weekly charm pack prize. All you have to do is post a photo of your completed blocks each week before the release of the next batch, including the required book Triangle Gatherings and Primitive Gatherings Triangle Paper in the picture. Please also include the hashtag #TwilightStarsQAL in your post! Heidi will choose a winner each week until the end of the QAL, which we will announce during my LIVE show on Thursday. We will also choose a grand prize winner once the QAL is complete. The prize for sharing his block photos for Week #33 goes to the multi-talented, Donna Vunderink! Great work on your blocks AND that adorable cross-stitch project! It reminds me of the Velveteen Rabbit – one of my all-time favorite stories! <3

If you’re one of my regular readers you know that even if you’re not participating in Twilight Stars, you can still win yourself a little something from Heidi’s prize bin simply by leaving me a comment here on the blog! Take it from Patty W. and Wendy H. (check your emails!). They both have happy mail on the way for doing just that! It really is that easy… Hit that like button and leave me a comment! Who knows, you could be my next winner… But just remember – you can’t win if you don’t play!

Alright stitchers, I’m out of here for now. I’ll be back Monday to talk more about the debut of my latest Quilt-Along, O’ Say Can You Sew – 2, which kicked off last Thursday during my LIVE show. If you want to check it out beforehand, as always you can find information on O’ Say Can You Sew – 2, and all of my quilt-alongs at www.lisabongea.com under the “Quilt-Alongs” tab. You can also hear me talk all about O’ Say Can You Sew – 2 on the replay of Thursday’s LIVE show by clicking the STITCH button below! Have a great weekend and I will see you soon! ~Lisa

Glad you’re taking a moment for yourself! We all need some self care. I’ve been prepping a few PG projects, so I can grab and go. So fun! I’ve received one of Heidi’s prizes already. It was awesome, and thrilling.

I received my Twilight Stars book and triangle papers about a week ago and am hoping to get started, this book is absolutely awesome……so many quilt possibilities! My biggest problem is I want to do all the sewalongs and simply don’t have the time. LOL!

Technology is a wonderful thing when it’s working. It allows us to access lots of information and connect with our friends. But when it’s not working, it gets frustrating
I’m glad nothing worse happened to you and the staff.
And, as I was one of the winners a couple weeks ago, I must say it was grand! What a lovely surprise I received in the mail. Thank you PG!
    Have a wonderful week!

Gloria, if you mean Twilight Stars, there are several size options and you wouldn’t have to make all of the blocks. I hope this helps.

I fell off the wagon and am a few blocks behind. I moved my sewing studio from one part of our home to another. Who knew what kind of undertaking that would be. I missed my sewing machine so much but am back up and running. I am inspired and motivated to catch back up. Love this QAL and the blocks shared by everyone. Thanks for creating a wonderful community. It is a happy place ❤️
