Easter is Early this Year!

Are you ready for the Easter holiday? I’ll admit, considering we really had no snow this winter, the month of March kind of snuck up on me this season. Until a little birdie recently brought it to my attention that Easter Sunday is already coming up at the end of the month, it hadn’t really been on my mind much at all. The holiday arrives a full ten days earlier than last year, to be exact. It will fall on the last Sunday of the month which is March 31st, 2024. Luckily, switching up my home décor to a more springy, Eastery vibe will go like greased lightning thanks to my favorite go-to Easter banners and pillows. In fact, if you need some Easter cheer to spread around your house but don’t have a lot of time to spare, these particular projects are just what you’re looking for.

As you know, I love projects that are multifunctional. These next few are not only great for celebrating the Easter holiday, but they also work throughout the entire spring and summer season! Take this extra cute and cuddly pillow we affectionately call “Buster” for example. He is so cute, I just want to squeeze him! “Buster” is a dark gray bunny done in wool appliqué on flannel. Finished, this pillow is 18″ x 18″. To make him extra squeezable I used a 20″ x 20″ pillow form, which is also available to order on our website. Get “Buster” as a printed pattern or download the PDF. Kits are available too!

If you think “Buster” is adorable, check out these pudgy bunnies! Adding to the family, we have “Like Mother Like Daughter” and “Honey Bunny.” Both of these little cuties are done with wool appliqué on flannel as well. These patterns are meant to be a pillows but can also easily be incorporated into other projects. Wouldn’t they be cute on a lap or baby quilt? They’d also be great as hanging décor on a wood stand or clipboard. You could even make yourself a bunny tote bag. The choice is yours! Finished as a pillow, “Like Mother Like Daughter” measures 16″ x 16″ and uses an 18″ pillow form, while “Honey Bunny” is slightly larger at 18″ x 18″ with a 20″ pillow form.

Not a lot of space but still love to decorate for the changing seasons? Hanging décor to the rescue! Add a splash of Easter color to your home with my “Easter Bunny Banner.” This is another quick, easy, and smaller project, perfect for procrastinators in a time crunch. Plus, if you already have the wool you need for this project, great news! No need to wait for shipping with this one. You can save even more time by purchasing the pattern as a download so you can get your hands on the pattern TODAY! “Easter Bunny Banner” is done with wool appliqué and measures 8 1/2″ x 11 when finished. Display it as a wall hanger or on one of Scotty’s custom-made clipboards.

If “Easter Bunny Banner” seems familiar to you, it might be because he’s part of one of my on-going holiday banner series that I’ve mentioned in the past. The collection also includes a version for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and one for the Harvest season as well. These adorable little decorations have a finished size of 8 1/4″ x 10″ each, and are of course, super easy to display as a wall-hanger, on a clipboard, or as a small table mat. Get the Valentine’s version by clicking HERE, the St. Patrick’s Day version by clicking HERE, and the Autumn version by clicking HERE!

Looking for basket stuffers? Pincushions make perfect gifts for family and friends who are also fellow stitchers. The “Bunny Pincushion” is a pattern from my, “Summer Gatherings” book which is no longer in print. Due to popular demand, we made a pattern of it for those of you who missed out on the book. This little cutie features a wool appliqué bunny, stars, and a spring flower. Finished, it’s a nice size of 4 1/4″ x 7″, making it a great little gift to make for someones Easter or May Basket.

Another great idea for a unique basket stuffer is our pastel and tie-dyed wool charm packs and bundles. If you know someone who loves to work with wool, you can’t go wrong with this beautiful wool! Our wool is hand-dyed which means no two pieces are the same. They’re great for any wool appliqué project, but are especially nice if you’re doing something with Easter eggs or flowers. As our dear friend Shelley always said, “these are great for doing flowers since no flower in nature is one-single color.” So true… We miss you Shelley! <3

Speaking of Easter baskets, are you a fan of our caramels? We proudly offer local, award winning caramels made by Vande Walle’s Candies in Appleton, WI. If you consider yourself a caramel connoisseur, you’re defiantly going to want to get in on some of these sweet, buttery, old fashioned caramels. PLUS, they recently added a salted caramel option as well. They are by FAR my favorite caramel out there! Grab a pound or two for Easter treats and another one for yourself by clicking the button below!

See anything you like? The beauty of it all is that these really are quick projects that with a bit of determination, should be easy enough to accomplish over a weekend. And since the majority of them are available in both printed format or as a downloadable PDF, you don’t even have to wait for shipping! Just purchase, download, print, and voila! You’re ready to go.
