Twilight Stars Quilt-Along – Block Release #42

Is it just me, or does it seem like the closer we get to the end of the Twilight Stars Quilt-Along, the faster the weeks go by? I could have sworn I posted blocks for Week #41 just yesterday, but indeed, that was already a whole week ago! I guess time really does fly when you’re having fun! And speaking of Twilight Stars fun, I hope you’re ready to have some more… Block releases for Week #42 are #20 and #42!

Let me just say, I am so proud of each and every one of you who have started this QAL and stuck with it! Every time I think I can’t be more impressed with your work, another week’s worth of finished block photos flows through my social media feed and I’m impressed all over again. As the weeks go by I’m starting to see more and more photos of what look like full quilts rather than stacks of loose blocks, and I’m super excited about it! We really are coming down to the final count down of this QAL, and the proof is in the work!

Thank you so much to everyone who continues to take the time to post photos of your finished blocks! I really hope you’ve won a prize for your effort, but if not, there’s still a few more chances to win before it’s over. All you have to do to for a shot at a prize is post a photo of your completed blocks for the week along with the required book, Triangle Gatherings and Primitive Gatherings Triangle Paper included in the picture. You can post it on either our Facebook or Instagram pages, or both! Just remember to also include the hashtag #TwilightStarsQAL in the photo as well. The winner for Week #42 is Ruth Tacoma! Ruth knows just what to do when Mother Nature has one of her tantrums… There’s absolutely nothing better than cozying up to stitch inside when the weather is on the fritz – unless maybe you had a couple of delicious salted caramels to snack on while you’re at it. That would be even better! Don’t worry, Ruth, your charm pack and caramel stash are on the way!

What’s on your agenda for the weekend? I know many of you will be visiting family and friends for the big holiday and I wish you all a safe trip! I love traveling but also know exactly how stressful and exhausting it can be, which is one of the reasons I don’t plan to stray very far from home this year. We have a simple family dinner planned at my brother’s place, but that’s about it. It’s not that I don’t like the hustle and bustle of a large holiday gathering with my people, it’s just also nice to stay home to Netflix and chill sometimes. Not to mention, my third grandson is getting ready to make his first appearance into the world any day now (I may have just squealed a bit with delight just then – don’t judge) so going anywhere far away is totally out of the question!!!

Before I HOP on out of here for the weekend, I want to give a shout-out to Celia G. and Darlene R. for making my day with their comments on the blog last week! Comments and likes help the algorithm like US, which is super important in today’s internet based world. In other words… I REALLY appreciate it, plus I like giving out prizes, which works out great for you. If you’d like to be considered for one, leave a comment… It’s that easy!

Please remember that both Primitive Gatherings and The Gathering will both be closed tomorrow – Saturday, March 30th and Sunday, March 31st, 2024 in order to give my PG family some well deserved time off to celebrate Easter. We’ll be back open for business at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 1st – no foolin’! See you soon – and happy Easter!!! ~Lisa

Lisa you are an amazing woman. If you could bottle of your talent, enthusiasm and energy, I’d be the first person in line to purchase. You never cease to amaze me with your creativity and positive energy. I look so forward to the arrival of my wool box. . It truly never disappoints…..Can’t wait to come to The Gathering in August. We will be making our reservations in the very near future. ❤️

We’re spending Easter at my DILs house with her family and our family. Our granddaughter will be celebrating her 16th birthday.
I’ll be making her cake this weekend, and will have plenty of time to work on block 7 from the wool box. I’m doing my best to catch up! So many projects you do.
I made half of the Twilight Stars blocks. I need a way to make them into a quilt top.
So many WIP…Joyful, OH Say can You Sew…
    Love them all

A new baby in the family is always so wonderfully exciting! Keep us posted.

We drove 3 hours to be with our kids, four grands and all their in-laws for Easter. Our daughter hosts every year, but she assigns everyone something to bring. We brought the grandpuppy home; she spent Spring Break with us. Six pounds of love and fun. I’ve been assigned the potato salad and cranberry relish. The price of admission. lol Happy Easter to you and yours and all the PG staff.

It is really lovely to see everyone keeping up (way better than me!). I finished my 50th block this week! Weather here in Qatar is beautiful so I have been enjoying some outside time. Happy Easter to those who celebrate.

Love watching the show as ever it just makes me green with envy. I absolutely love the mini quilts so can’t wait for the pattern release. You got me started on them with Little Gatherings and triangle paper. I made one with half in finished paper . My guru SIL said I was cheating but cheating is better than ripping🥳🥳🥳🥳 Even more jealous I don’t live in the US and just one plane to get there. Perhaps Air France could fly direct to Larsen? Love from SW France❤️❤️❤️

Happy Easter to everyone at PG. I hope it doesn’t snow on you. It seems that spring will never come some years, and yes, it’s snowing in Alaska again!! BTW, I have finished my Joyful Gatherings 2″ stars. Oi Vey!! Now it’s time to decide on a quilting design and get busy on Oh Say Can You Sew 2. (Yes, I’m way behind on that one!) This is the first of 10 Christmas quilts I’m making for family. Not sure who will receive this one. Maybe I’ll just keep it!! Thanks for great sewalongs, Lisa!
