Twilight Stars Quilt-Along – Block Release #43

Hey everyone, happy Friday! If you’re in the area, I hope you’ve had a chance to get outside to enjoy the warm and sunny weather Mother Nature blessed us with this afternoon. I am having a wonderful day up north visiting my son and his new bundle of joy, and I couldn’t be happier. If you haven’t heard, The Easter Bunny (Easter Stork???) brought our family a bit more than just eggs and candy this year… After 28 hours of his mother’s hard work and stressful anticipation, my third grandbaby boy made his debut into the world on April Fool’s Day, 2024, weighing in at 8 lbs 9 oz, and measuring 22 inches long. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Lachlan Andrew Neubauer to the Primitive Gatherings family!!! I think I see a future quilter in those sweet little eyes…

This is going to be a quick post so I can get back to my Mimi duties/snuggle sessions ASAP. Needless to say, I had to throw a few projects on the back burner as soon as I got “the call” on Sunday morning, letting me know it was showtime. That being said, I have to have to apologize that there was no Moda Blockheads 5 post this week because I was, well… let’s just say, too busy with more important things to get my block done. No worries – I will do a double post next Wednesday to make up for it. And remember, even if I don’t get around to blogging about it, you can always find new MBH5 releases at www.lisabongean.com under the Quilt-Alongs tab, or by visiting the Blockheads 5 Main Page.

One thing I can say I’m caught up on is my Twilight Stars Quilt-Along. I made a point of focusing on it during Sit & Stitch last week, and just like that I’m not only back on schedule, but a few weeks ahead of the game – right where I like to be! How are you holding up? Are you on task? Falling behind? Let me know in the comments! It’s Week #43 and whether you’re ready or not, here come block numbers 38 and 75!!!

Have you won a prize yet for participating? Time is ticking!!! All you have to do to for a shot at a prize is post a photo of your completed blocks for the week along with the required book, Triangle Gatherings and Primitive Gatherings Triangle Paper included in the picture. You can post it on either our Facebook or Instagram pages, or both! Just remember to also include the hashtag #TwilightStarsQAL in the photo as well. The winner for Week #42 is Kathy Taber Frances! Beautiful job on your blocks AND your Easter décor!

Now that you have your assignments, it’s time for me to get back to snuggle duty! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I will see you on Monday. Take care and happy stitching! ~Lisa

Oh my…such a beautiful baby! Such alert eyes he’s definitely a keeper! Congratulations to all! I’m sooo behind on twilight project I could kick myself. Complete knee replacement in mid August with several setbacks has kept me away from my machine but I can finally sit and move around w no pain. Enough whining! Go Iowa!

Congratulations and welcome to your new angel! What a Blessing. I’m up to date on my Twilight Stars qal and trying to figure out how many is left and get them all done. I go in for surgery on my shoulder on the 15th and won’t be able to do any sewing (well, I’m hoping some wool applique). So, I will be very busy next week. You inspire me!

Snuggle often! Grandkids grow up way too fast. One day they are little and love hugs and the next day they are off to college. Sewing will always be there for us but they won’t. So snuggle with those grands as much as you can now!!!! Congrats Mimi!

Enjoy your new grandson! Grandbabies are the best! My first and only grandbaby is now 10 months old! They grow and change so quickly! I’m behind on my twilight stars, but am getting caught up. I have 66 of them done and it’s quite a large, beautiful pile! Excited for this quilt to be done. It’s going to be beautiful! Thx for this sew along Lisa.

There is nothing better than being a grandmother or even better a great-grandmother. They are so precious.
