Hey stitchers! I’m up in MI for the week at the Mackinac Island Quilting Seminar, but I thought I would take a quick break from my shenanigans to tell you about the latest and greatest BERNINA Education opportunity coming to Primitive Gatherings! Whether you’re someone who already owns a BERNINA Longarm, or you’re still sitting on the purchasing fence debating on which way to fall, this event is for you! On Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024 from either 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – OR – 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., BERNINA Luke will be hosting an “Introduction to Robotic Edge-to-Edge Quilting” at Primitive Gatherings!

Our “Introduction to Robotic Edge-to-Edge Quilting“ class is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the latest BERNINA technology. The class will emphasize on the single design “Edge-to-Edge” technique. You will also have the chance to get hands-on practice at the basics of longarm quilting, with a certified BERNINA expert leading the way.

I’d be a liar if I told you my favorite thing about this class was anything other than the projects… If you’re a fan of legendary folklore, you’re really going to love what Luke has in store for you. Take your pick from two project options, both featuring “Legends of the National Parks” panels, which were designed by Anderson Design Group for Riley Blake Designs. The first option is called, “Bigfoot – The Missing Link” – a digitally printed panel that would easily make an awesome kid’s quilt or wall hanging. Measuring in at 36″ x 43 1/2″, this panel features – you guessed it! – the elusive Bigfoot, casually strolling through the forest.

Your second project option for the class is just as cool… Also a digitally printed panel, “Believe” goes a few steps further into the vault of legendary creatures we all know and love. It not only features Bigfoot, but also the Jackalope, Lizard Man, and of course, an Extraterrestrial. The full panel measures 36″ x 43 1/2″, or it can be divided into four pieces at 16 1/2″ x 19 1/2″ each, making it an awesome option for multiple projects. Quilt it as one piece, or divide it into four to make pillows, totes, wall hangings, and more!
