Have You Ever Considered Downloadable Patterns?

Are you someone who would rather have your collection of patterns in digital format rather than taking up space in your sewing room? I feel you! If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably accumulated literally hundreds – if not thousands – of patterns and other printed materials in your creative archive over the years. That being said, unless you’ve mastered the art of pattern/sewing room organization on a Martha Stewart type level, I’m willing to bet that the idea of downloadable patterns might just appeal to you!

Many of you already know that since implementing our new Point of Sale system last year, we have been chipping away at the task of adding the option of “Downloadable PDF” as a purchase option for our patterns. With close to 800 patterns in my repertoire, as you might guess, this is not only tedious, but also a time-consuming process on top of our already chaotic daily grind. That’s why I’m super happy to say that despite the whirlwind over the last few weeks, my team has managed to add sprinkles to the already ever so sweet dish of hard work they deliver on a weekly basis in the form of a whole new list of patterns now available as PDF downloads.

Looking for a pin keep, mini quilt, table mat, wool ornie, or wool appliqué project to start? Check out the latest patterns added to our list of available downloads!

See anything you like? If not, no worries. We’ll have another batch for you to choose from available soon! In the meantime, if you need more ideas and inspiration for your next project, watch me LIVE tomorrow on my YouTube channel, STITCH with Lisa Bongean at 1:00 p.m. CST by clicking the icon below! Come see what we’re up to in the studio plus hear about our upcoming events at The Gathering! Then directly following the show, join the girls and I as we delve into the next exciting episode of CommentSold. Remember, you can join the fun via our Primitive Gatherings CommentSold app, OR by tuning in through our Primitive Gatherings Facebook page in the “LIVE” videos area (find it under the “more” tab if it doesn’t automatically pop up). See you there! ~Lisa

I really appreciate the PDF downloads. I have a big stash of fabric that needs used. Getting the instant download is my preference. With postage rates and poor delivery problems, download is easier. Thank you for the effort I know goes into adding these to your site.

No I hate those downloads I’m sorry but I’m older and not computer savvy My adult children get tired of helping me when I get one They also make me feel guilty when I get any of my patterns And if I go to the UPS store most of the time the person helping don’t even know how to help me or sometime get upset Plus the patterns cost a lot to be printed I love going to the mailbox to get my treats So please don’t stop printing the patterns

    Hello I have 2 questions
1: how long does the red stitching last ( thru washings) if one does not stitch on the lines of dear Santa?
    2. Is barbs machine embroidery class on the pumpkin table matt able to be virtual? So long distant customer can participate?
    Thanks pam

Hi Pam! The panels are printed just like regular fabric so the red “stitching” will be permanent! As far as virtual classes go, we are exploring our options and have found that we simply don’t have the manpower to make it happen right now. It’s something we hope to accomplish in the future but we just can’t swing it at the moment. Don’t forget – we’re still a small business in a rural area. Good help is hard to find! ~Lisa

I love the idea of an instant download! That way I can get started creating instantly. I still print them and keep them in binders but it saves on shipping, too. Thanks Lisa and the OG team.

My preference is the paper copy, though if I see something that I want to do immediately, I will purchase the PDF.

Downloads are a love/hate thing for me. I love being able to order then access them immediately. I feel like I can better organize them though in paper format. I realize I should just get an independent storage unit (thumb drive or other portable drive) for my quilting patterns and inspirations. Thank you for providing both — patterns AND inspiration!

I save all my downloads in a PG file…..with other categories under that heading. Love being able to keep these patterns I’ve printed in a format that only takes up computer space….just in case the hard copy pattern goes MIA

Thanks Lisa!! Love the ready to download…..and saving money and time on shipping!
