Hey everyone! Happy Halloween eve! After a whirlwind trip to the International Quilt Market in Houston, TX over the last several days, I’m thrilled to be back in familiar territory, surrounded by my favorite fabrics, threads, and, of course, quilts! There really is no place like home – especially when it’s all decked out in spooky splendor! I know Halloween isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s one of my favorite holidays by far. Not only is the decorating fun, but then add the costumes, parties, PROJECTS, tricks, and treats… I love it all!

For me, one of the best parts of Halloween is the fact that for the last several years my neighbors come together for an annual neighborhood Halloween party. It’s kind of a “pot luck” event, complete with one of my famous spooky charcuterie boards, a big pot of chili to share, a giant skeleton in the yard (my birthday gift from Darci last year!), snacks and goodies galore, and of course… CANDY! Rather than staying cooped up inside our houses to pass out treats, we all congregate in the same spot to set up our trick-or-treat stations so the kids can get candy from a bunch of different “houses,” all in one stop. It’s a pretty great setup if you ask me! A good time is definitely in store for everyone who stops by.
