Good afternoon, quilters! Have you submitted your quilt entry to The 2024 Primitive Gatherings Blue & White Quilt Show??? Special thanks to those of you who managed to get your quilts here by the official deadline of October 31st. I really appreciate it and so does my warehouse manager and her staff!. Amy has received almost 100 quilts down in the warehouse so far, which is truly an amazing amount when you see them all stacked next to each other. Check out this haul!

Now that most of the quilts have arrived, the real work begins! Next up is unboxing, sorting, filing, organizing, and typing up all the details on each quilt for the show guide. Not to mention figuring out how we’re going to go about hanging them all! All I know for sure is that I couldn’t pull this show off without Amy and my phenomenal staff helping me make it happen. They’re all rockstars and I’m lucky to have every single one of them!

I can’t wait to see The Gathering once this show is all put together. It will be nothing short of stunning, I’m sure, and a real tribute to the winter season! I do have to say, that while I’m usually a stickler about show entry deadlines, this year has proven to be a bit of a special circumstance. As you know, due to the hurricanes that hit the U.S. last month, many people are still dealing with the aftermath of widespread flooding, power outages, and damaged infrastructure. On top of that, the storms also affected key shipping routes and delayed processing times, which we have certainly been feeling here at PG ever since. That being said, despite the fact that carriers have been working relentlessly to reroute deliveries around impacted areas, delays understandably continue to happen. That’s why I’ve decided to extend the deadline for entries to the 2024 Primitive Gatherings Blue & White Quilt Show until the end of the day on Monday, November 11th, 2024.

SO – what does that mean for you? If your quilt has arrived to Primitive Gatherings already, great! You don’t need to do anything but hang out and wait for the big show to open. If you mailed your quilt, but it is still en route and taking its sweet time to get here, no worries – you can relax! As long as your quilt is here by the end of the day on Monday, November 11th, 2024, it will still be included in the show. Lastly, IF you’ve been on the fence about entering a quilt into the show, but you just haven’t been able to make up your mind – THIS IS THE GOOD OMEN YOU’VE BEEN WAITING FOR! You have five days left to figure out how to get it here, so you better get moving and make it happen!
