Happy Turkey Day Eve!

Hey, everyone. Happy Turkey Day-Eve! Like many of you, I have spent most of my day running errands and tying up loose ends out in the world before I get caught up in the kitchen at home later tonight – busy, busy! Despite my rather long list of things to take care of today, I thought I better take a quick break and hop on to remind everyone that we will be CLOSED tomorrow, Thursday November 28th through Sunday, December 1st 2024. We will re-open on Monday, December 2nd at 10:00 a.m. CST for our normal business hours.

Now that we have Primitive Christmas 2024 successfully under our belts, we can finally settle down and take the next few days to recuperate by enjoying family time, and by using the, “gorging ourselves with an excessive amount of food” method as treatment. I can’t wait! Every day I get to spend with my grand babies is the best day ever. What are you doing with your Thanksgiving break? And what are you thankful for??? Please let me know in the comments!

If you know me at all, you know that spending time off with my family and close friends is super important to me, and that I’m truly THANKful for every minute of it! That being said, I also believe that it’s just as important to take time out of your busy schedule spending time with… yourself! And a few of your best quilty friends, of course. Just think about that… If there’s anyone in YOUR world that you deserve to give a break to, it’s YOU! Especially right before your laundry list of “Christmas duties” hits you in full force – am I right?

The holidays can be draining on all of us for both good reasons and bad. That’s why I think it’s an absolutely BRILLIANT idea for you to join me at my Pre-Holiday “Sip, Sew, Shop, and Stay” Retreat at The Gathering this December. This fun little get-together is the perfect way to relax and recharge before the holiday season realllly hits. I mean, yes – Thanksgiving can be a big deal with lots of people, food, and the whole galore, but at least we have some time to reset before the real party begins later in December. Take advantage of the eye in the holiday storm and come hang out with me at The Gathering for this cozy and creative mini getaway!

I don’t want to jinx it, but it’s was a beautiful autumn season here in Wisconsin, and so far, as we approach winter, everything seems to be on track for a white Christmas. We are officially in “COZY” season! Pack up your machine, grab your sewing pals, and your favorite pair of fuzzy slippers. Then head to The Gathering ready for a relaxing sewcial experience – just for you! Sounds nice, doesn’t it? Give Peggy a call at 920-778-8031 or email thegathering@primitivegatherings.us to sign up!

Ok, I’m going to say it now in case I don’t get back to my computer again for a few days… Have a SAFE and HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all of you – my sweet, loyal, and lovely PG customers and fans. I am definitely THANKful for each and every one of you, because without my quilting community and top notch staff, none of this would be possible. I love you all! Take care – and make sure to eat all your favorites this weekend (green bean casserole here I come)!!! See you soon! ~Lisa

Because of things that happened YEARS ago, my husband’s family started celebrating Thanksgiving the Sunday before the actual holiday. We, in our little family, have continued that tradition. I am thankful for this family and for my quilting sisters and brothers. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! <3

Thank you, Lisa. Mom, hubby, & I will be enjoying turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, carrots, and cranberry. Then we’ll enjoy homemade pumpkin & apple pies. We will settle in first thing in the morning for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade followed by the AKC Dog Show. Every year we settle in to view all the pooches — the pretty ones, the handsome ones, the ludicrously brushed ones, the silly hairstyles on some, and in general enjoy all of the them. Have a great Thanksgiving and know that we all appreciate you, your staff, your designs, your SALS, etc, etc, etc. While you’re bellied up to the table, remember these wise words: Don’t stop til you pop AND gobble til you wobble! Lol!

Happy Thanksgiving to you too Lisa and your wonderful hard working staff/family. We are spending time with family in the Phoenix area, and delivering the “Pumpkin Spice’ quilt- (a kit purchased from your store) to my grandson who has just finished his degree at ASU! His whole family has fallen in love with it, (me too)- thankfully I purchased 2 kits, so I’ll eventually get one too! Lisa…you rock!! Thanks so much

First Thanksgiving in decades I’ve spent alone. My sweet sister gave me the cold from hell while we were out shopping for turkey day supplies. That same sweet sister delivered a hot plate filled with all the trimmings Thursday afternoon. I missed seeing family and friends but I’m grateful knowing I didn’t share this cold with anyone else. I’m also grateful to everyone at Primitive Gatherings for the excellent jobs they do to get all our goodies to us. I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving.
