WIP It! WIP it Good – at The Gathering!

Hey, everyone! You may have noticed that I haven’t posted much so far this week, but it’s for good reason! I’ve been deep in the trenches of my springtime Works in Progress Retreat at The Gathering – where the only thing louder than the sewing machines is fun, laughter, and the buzz of creativity flying around the room!

This glorious little three-day retreat has been all about diving into the works in progress (WIPs) we’ve been putting off for way too long. Whether it’s a project you’ve been stuck on for a while, or just a pile of WIPs begging for attention, a retreat like this is the perfect chance to pull those ‘problem projects’ out of hiding and make some real progress – and progress we have definitely made!

What makes this retreat even better is the fantastic group of people that I’m lucky enough to spend my time with over the last couple of days. They’ve come from all over the country, each bringing their own unique perspective, inspiration, and contagious energy. It’s like a creative powerhouse at The Gathering right now, and let me tell you, nothing inspires progress like being surrounded by such talent and drive! Watching my fellow stitchers dive into their projects, exchange tips, and encourage one another has been a reminder of how much can be accomplished when you’re in the right environment with the right people – and these are definitely my people!

Things are starting to wind down for the day here at The Gathering, and so am I. Time for me to head out so I can meet with my “Thread & Thrive” wellness group at 6 via Zoom. I will be back in the studio tomorrow for another busy Thursday with the girls with a ton of things on my “to-do” list to tackle before we go LIVE after lunch. What are you up to? If you’re not busy and you want to get the buzz on what’s going on at PG first hand, you should definitely come hang out with us LIVE at 1:00 p.m. CST on my YouTube channel, STITCH with Lisa Bongean! Also, CommentSold fans – Jess plans to have a show at some point tomorrow so watch your notifications. See you all there! ~Lisa

This has nothing to do with. WIps but… I have ordered threads for my wool projects only to find out that Delvoni is using new dies or new methods for the drying process. I have colors that are not the same as the colors Lisa used but have the same number. What are we supposed to do? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I don’t want to buy colors that aren’t matching the project . Thanks.

Hi there! Your best is to give the shop a call at 920-722-7233 during our normal business hours – Mon – Fri 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. They will be able to help you color match, etc.
