Hey, everyone. Just like that, here we are at the end of another whirlwind of a week! Have you ever had one of those months where things are moving so fast, you’re pretty sure your feet haven’t even touched the ground? That’s me as we speak! I’m smack dab in the middle of the h+h Americas Fiber Arts Trade Show in Chicago, where every minute has been packed with excitement all week long. I mean, how can I NOT be excited when I’m surrounded by inspiration, innovation, new connections, and more fiber art goodness than you can shake a sewing needle at?! It’s been awesome.
Here’s a little sneak-peek of my booth at the show where I’m debuting one of my latest fabric lines, American Gatherings III, which will ship in December, 2025. Let me tell you—if you’re all about red, white, blue, and all things Americana, you’re going to LOVE this collection!
Just like American Gatherings I and II, American Gatherings III brings the classic red, white, and blue patriotic vibe that we all know and love. Featuring 38 prints, three star-themed 108″ wide quilt back options, a sweet looking eagle panel, and a project book that includes ten exclusive quilt patterns, this line is packed with traditional prints that feel like a nod to old-school America: bold stripes, proud stars, and patterns that could’ve come straight out of a well-loved quilt from generations past. It’s my fresh take on American pride, with all the grit and grace built right in!

With the 250th anniversary of our great country’s independence on the horizon, the American Gatherings III quilts do more than just look good—they tip their hats to the strength and sacrifice that built our country. This patriotic collection is a quiet salute to the brave souls who stood their ground back then, and the ones who’ve kept showing up ever since. Every stitch of American Gatherings III definitely has the potential to tell one heck of a story.

Notice the big eagle on the left? That’s the panel I mentioned! Measuring in at 36″ x 44″, it’s the bold heart of American Gatherings III that’s ready to take center stage in your next project. Whether you build a quilt around it, frame it up as wall décor, or simply quilt the panel alone, this stunning piece makes a statement without breaking a sweat. It’s patriotic, powerful, and downright cool.
What better way to honor where we’ve been as a country and where we’re headed than with a needle and thread? American Gatherings III is your chance to stitch up a little history of your own while you create something that ties the past to the present in every block. Whether you display it in your home with pride, or hand it off to someone else with love, this collection is a reminder that freedom isn’t a one-and-done deal. It’s something we honor, protect, and pass down from one generation to the next… Kind of like an heirloom quilt!
Feeling inspired? How will you turn American Gatherings III into something worth passing down? Feel free to share your ideas and plans in the comments! Then go straight to the Primitive Gatherings website to pre-order American Gatherings III while the getting is good, and the items are still marked at pre-order prices. Just click the button above to shop! And remember, once it’s no longer a pre-order item it will no longer be discounted—which reminds me! You may notice that some of the American Gatherings III items on the website are not currently reflecting our usual pre-order discount, and there is a good reason for that!
My PG crew and I are proud to support the Old Glory Honor Flight Mission with our upcoming “Oh Say Can You Sew III” quilt-along (full details on the QAL are coming soon)! For every American Gatherings III Fat Quarter Bundle, Half Yard Bundle, or One Yard Bundle sold, $10.00 will be donated to the Old Glory Honor Flight Mission. With your generous support, our goal is to sponsor one full flight, helping 100 deserving veterans travel to Washington, D.C. Want to know more about what the Old Glory Honor Flight team does for our veterans? Visit https://www.oldgloryhonorflight.org/ to check out their mission!
Alright friends, you know what to do… Get shopping! It’s for a good cause, after all! Have a great weekend, everyone—and happy stitching! See you soon. ~Lisa
