Hey, everyone! Who’s ready to dive headfirst into some holiday stitching? I know it probably feels a little early to be thinking about hot cocoa, poinsettias, and Santa Claus while the weather is still so nice, but in reality, the holiday season is just a few short months away, so the time to start your holiday projects is now!

The return of warm weather this week made it even more difficult to accept that the dog days of summer are coming to an end, but my latest stitch-along is encouraging me to come to terms with it — and fast! After the huge success of last year’s very first Countdown to Christmas Stitch-Along, I couldn’t resist doing another one in 2025, so here we go: this year’s Countdown to Christmas Stitch-Along quilt is called Evergreen Christmas!

If you thought last year’s Countdown to Christmas quilt was fun, buckle up! Evergreen Christmas is bringing a whole new level of stitching excitement to the game that I just know you’re going to love. This stitch-along quilt will be a mystery, which means you will not know what the final layout looks like until the very end! What I can tell you is that it features 13 Christmas-themed wool appliqué blocks on an evergreen cotton background (on point) and finishes at approximately 79.5″ x 79.5″.

As I always say, I know putting all of your trust in me and agreeing to commit to a quilt project that you’ve never even seen before might seem a bit scary, but don’t worry! I’m sure anyone who has ever done one of my mystery quilt/stitch-alongs in the past will tell you that it’s worth the uncertainty. Not to mention, you should know I’d never ask you to do such a thing unless I was 100% confident in the finished product — and let me assure you, I am!

Ready to hop on board? We are offering a few different kit options for your convenience:

• WOOL OPTION – $84.50 – Includes all wools needed for the appliqué portion of the quilt (patterns are not included).

• COTTON OPTION – $160.00 – Includes all fabrics needed for the cotton portion of the quilt (patterns are not included). PLEASE NOTE: Due to high demand, we have substituted the fabric for this quilt from the original shown.  We are no longer able to get the background and setting fabric, so all kits going forward will be BELLA fabrics only. Thank you for understanding.

• FULL KIT OPTION – $244.50 – Includes all cotton fabrics and wools needed to complete the quilt top (patterns are included – you will receive the appliqué shape layouts in the wool kit, and then each week you will receive a downloadable pattern for your block layouts).

• PATTERN DOWNLOADS ONLY – Includes weekly, DIGITAL PDF downloads for $5.00 each for the duration of the stitch-along. PLEASE NOTE: Printed patterns are not available at this time.

All kits going forward will be substituted with coordinating BELLA fabrics only. Fabrics will be the same color, but they will be solid and not feature a print. Thank you for understanding!

“When does it start!?” I hear you cry… The stitch-along will officially begin Friday, October 3rd, 2025. It will run for TEN weeks total. Patterns will be released every Friday by 5:00 p.m. CST. They can be found on the official Countdown to Christmas Information Page by scrolling to the bottom, or by visiting the Primitive Gatherings website by clicking HERE, and putting “Countdown to Christmas 2025” into the search bar.

That’s it! It’s that simple to get the ball rolling on one of the most epic Christmas quilts you’ll ever make — at least, in my opinion, anyway! Once you get your supplies ordered, all you have to do going forward is count down the days until Friday, October 3rd, 2025, when the first clue is released… and then we’re off! I’m really looking forward to it, and hope you are too!
