Did Somebody Say Apple Crisp???

Hey, everyone! Remember last week on my LIVE show when I teased you with my famous homemade apple crisp? Well, I promised I’d share the recipe here on the blog so I’m here to deliver the goods!

I’ll warn you now, this isn’t just any apple crisp… it’s my own creation, honed over years of trial, error, and a little taste-testing (all in the name of science, of course). And according to my mom — the ultimate “kitchen snob” who doesn’t hand out compliments lightly — it’s the best apple crisp in the whole world. And if she says it is, it must be true!!!

This apple crisp is ridiculously easy to make. Nothing fancy here, folks — just simple, honest cooking that just about anyone can pull off. Even if you’re not usually the type to bake, this recipe will have you feeling like Julia Child in no time!

Friday’s here, and what better way to kick it off than with a warm, gooey apple crisp fresh from your oven? Whether you share it or keep it all to yourself, it’s definitely a sure fire way to start the weekend off right! That being said it’s time for me to blow this apple crisp stand and head home to enjoy my night. I hope you do the same and have a wonderful weekend. See you soon! ~Lisa

P.S. If you happen to try my recipe out, be sure to post a photo in the STITCH with Lisa Bongean Facebook group! Who knows… There might even be a prize in it for you. Enjoy!!!

Hi, Diana! Baking time is 35 to 40 minutes but keep an eye on it, of course. Sometimes I’ll put it into two 8 x 8 pan so then it’s maybe only 30 minutes.

Hi, Lisa. I’m going to try your apple crisp recipe. What kind of apples do you normally use? Back in the day, I would use Pippins, but since they can’t be found, I bake with Granny Smith. The picture looks like Galas. Also, how long do you bake it? The recipe doesn’t say. Thank you.
