All I Can Say is… WOW!

Hey, everyone!

Merry Primitive Christmas, to you! It’s nearly the end of day two of our biggest event of the year, and I’m still recovering from the absolute madness that was opening day! Let’s just say, you know things are about to get real when your customers show up earlier than you do! That was me yesterday morning — staring out the front window at a parking lot filling up with cars an hour before we were scheduled to unlock the doors. People were patiently waiting in their vehicles with shopping lists in hand, quietly plotting their Primitive Christmas strategy like it was some kind of fabric heist. And then… Nick opened the doors.

I knew there would be a lot of people. I mean, opening day of Primitive Christmas always draws a big turnout, and we’d been talking about it all over social media and my LIVE shows for weeks… but what I wasn’t prepared for was the sheer volume that came pouring through those doors the second Nick unlocked them. It wasn’t a trickle. It wasn’t even a few at a time. It was a full-on flood of excited shoppers that just kept coming. And coming. And coming. I’m standing there watching this unfold, half-thrilled and half-worried — wondering if we’d accidentally advertised free money instead of free patterns somehow. Check out this video Heidi took! Can you see yourself in the crowd?

I will say that things mellowed out a bit as today went by, so if you prefer a more relaxed shopping experience, popping in at different times throughout the day tomorrow might work in your favor. Then again, I can’t really say if it will be busy or not… I guess you’ll just have to stop by and see for yourself!

In case you missed it, or you’re just now hearing about this somehow, let me break down the details on Primitive Christmas one more time:

NOW through Sunday, NOVEMBER, 23rd, 2025 we are celebrating the arrival of the holidays with:

EVENT FREEBIES – BOTH IN-STORE and ONLINE!:

As if you needed another reason to shop at Primitive Gatherings, customers who make a minimum purchase of $40.00 or more during the event will receive FOUR FREE PATTERNS and ONE FREE KIT! Customers who spend $200.00 or more during the event will also receive an additional FREE PATTERN (tax and shipping do not count toward order total)! Even better, $5.00 of your purchase will go toward the Missions of Honor program, a standalone organization formed in the image Old Glory Honor Flight. Ready to rock? Click HERE to shop!!!

THE PRIMITIVE GATHERINGS SCRAPPY QUILT SHOW at THE GATHERING:

Come see this spectacular display of scrappy quilts from all over the U.S.A. and prepare to be amazed! Not only will you be immersed in scrappy eye candy, your $5.00 admission at the door will go toward the Missions of Honor program, a standalone organization formed in the image Old Glory Honor Flight.

MAKE-and-TAKE PROJECTS:

MAKE-and-TAKE projects will be available at The Gathering from 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Saturday for $5.00 – $10.00 each, depending on the project (we are CLOSED Sunday). Select MAKE-and-TAKE projects are also available on our website for online participants by clicking HERE!

LUNCH IS AVAILABLE:

Lunch tickets are available on a first come, first served basis — tickets are $15.00 per person at the door while supplies last. Lunch tomorrow (Saturday) is a taco bar. Can’t go wrong there!!!

Well, friends, I’m calling it for today — time to head home and remember what my couch looks like. PLEASE REMEMBER! If you’re planning to visit the retail store this weekend, we have special hours. The retail shop is open 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. CST on Saturday, but is closed Sunday to give my staff a well-deserved break. That said, online shopping is available 24/7, so if you can’t make it in, you can still get your Primitive Christmas fix there. Have a fantastic weekend and happy shopping! ~Lisa

Once again you’ve chosen a great organization for your Christmas donations! Our veterans are so deserving, and I know that Honor Flight is very meaningful for them. I’ve seen first-hand reactions as they visit their specific memorials. A lot of survivor guilt was relieved and stories were shared amongst the travelers.

This must be your dreams becoming the truth. You have worked hard to achieve. You have worked hard to build a great team to support your dreams coming true. The quilting family of the world is a better place because of your hard work. So, Thank You Lisa for the hard work.

You sure did have a crowd. Sorry I missed it but I was probably better off at home recuperating from a sore
back. I did spend my share on line.
    Thank you.
