Hey, everyone!
Well, we made it! Primitive Christmas 2025 is officially in the books, and man, it did not disappoint! Did anyone else leave PG this weekend grinning like a kid coming out of the most epic candy store on the planet? I sure did, but that was because of how absolutely overjoyed I was with the turnout. You came, you shopped, you ate, you made some super cute make-n’-takes, and you turned the place into the holiday stitch fest I’ve been dreaming of all year. Honestly, I can’t even put into words how much I appreciate every single one of you who made this event such a huge success. Seriously — thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Of course, with all the joy and success in the air, we couldn’t let the weekend go by without ONE little snafu, could we? So, despite all the good, Jess has a little confession to make. As you probably recall, during Primitive Christmas, if you spent $40 in-store or online, you snagged four free patterns and one free kit. Well… as it turns out, she made a tiny mistake in one of them that somehow made it all the way to production. She feels terrible about it and wanted to explain what happened herself, so I’ll let her take it from here:
Hey, stitchers — Jess here, and I need to come clean. I made a mistake when writing down the cutting sizes for the Primitive Christmas Red Poinsettia Ornament. I’m especially sorry about that because my little oops resulted in the piece of green wool included in the kit ending up a touch too small. Ugh — I’m sorry!!!
We’re all human, and mistakes happen, but now it’s time for us to make it better. The good news is that the error was easily fixed. I had Kali work her magic and trim the ends of the leaves (since more than half of them are covered up under the flower), which allows the size of the green wool you have in your kit to work out perfectly. For your convenience, we’ll be adding the corrected downloadable pattern to your account so you can easily access and reprint the updated version. Have a paper copy? No worries — you can also click the button below to download and print the correct layout of the leaves. Once again I am so sorry for the inconvenience!!!

Since I have the floor, I might as well take the opportunity to share something extra exciting with you — we have six pallets‘ worth of orders ready to ship out TODAY!!! Our crew worked tirelessly through the entire weekend (yes, even on Sunday!) to get your goodies out the door. They are absolutely amazing and deserve a big round of applause for the long hours and hard work they put in. Thank you, PG staffers!
And speaking of giving thanks, I want to personally thank you all so much for making this Primitive Christmas absolutely amazing! Between our incredible staff, the delicious food, the fun make-n’-takes, and of course, our Scrappy Quilt Show offerings… we couldn’t have done it without you. Merry Primitive Christmas, everyone! ~Jess
So, there you have it, folks… the scoop directly from the scooper. Mistakes happen and they’re unfortunate, but when they do show up, we will always make it right! I’m so proud of Jess, Amy, Heidi, Kali, and ALL of my staff for their hard work, not just during Primitive Christmas, but for busting their humps 365 days a year to make Primitive Gatherings a success — because even though I’m obviously a super woman, I simply can’t do it all by myself. We’re a team and I love it!
I suppose now that Primitive Christmas 2025 is a thing of the past, we can start thinking about the actual holidays, which are coming up at lightning speed! In just a few days it will be Thanksgiving, and then on to Christmas — I can’t wait! And from what the weather reports are saying, it sounds like after this weekend we’ll be well on our way to a white one… snow is also on the way! With that being said, if I don’t get a chance to blog again before the week is over, I’d like to wish you all a SAFE and happy Thanksgiving with family and friends. Enjoy! See you soon. ~Lisa
