Oh SNOW! Primitive Gatherings is CLOSED TODAY!

Good morning, stitchers! I’m just popping in to remind you that due to the HISTORIC BLIZZARD known as Winter Storm Elsa, the Primitive Gatherings retail shop and The Gathering are CLOSED TODAY (if you are arriving for a retreat don’t worry, you will still be able to check in)! Online shopping is still available by clicking here! https://primitivegatherings.us/

What’s it like where you are? Let me know how Winter Storm Elsa is treating YOU and your area in the comments! Is it snowing? Raining cats and dogs? A little of both??? It’s currently a combination of snow and ice where I am, and I just heard a big rumble of thunder. This could definitely get interesting!

We are hoping to reopen for normal business hours tomorrow – Monday, March 16th, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. PLEASE watch our facebook page and my blog for updates. Stay safe, everyone! ~Lisa

I am southeast of PG near Campbellsport. In good weather it is a 52 minute trip from my driveway to yours. 🙂 We have an inch and a half of snow on the ground with a coating of ice on top. 31 degrees and 27mph wind gusts. I am drinking coffee and crocheting sea creature tub toys for a little man named Henry. Stay safe eveyone!

Saturday 14th started cold 31 degrees then went up to 52. No rain! Sunday 15th rain early this morning. Its 61 at 11:27am. Suppose to get more rain this evening. Who knows what goes Monday in Ohio valley. I’m in Ohio southwest about 30 miles east of Cincinnati Ohio. We can have snow then change to rain hail all in one day! Mary M Rhodes

In Nebraska, we have high winds. No moisture. We are so dry. One the past several days, several hundred acres have burned from wildfires. Hoping and praying that this wind doesn’t re-ignite any remaining embers. 😢
Have a good day and stay warm.
    Happy Stitching,

In Ohio, and we are experiencing an unusually sunny and warm 72 degrees with a wind advisory!!! I went out to my garden and dug in some compost, picked up some things that blew over during our 70 mph winds the other day, and planted some basil and parsley seeds in my potting shed! However, it is supposed to change overnight with a low of 23 degrees and rain. Geez!

The tail end of the storm in west TN is producing 20 to 30mph winds with 45mph wond gusts at the moment. Currently 74 degrees. Once the line comes through which will be straight line winds with a chance of pop tornadoes, temperatures will plummet and we will be under a freeze warning into Monday and will stay in freezing temps until Wednesday when it warms back up. Forecasted to be in the high 70s by end of week which is really dangerous for us to get warm too soon as it is a prime tornado setup.

Everyone somewhere has their own unique weather scenarios that they live with. Prayers for warmth if you need it. Prayers for safety, safe travels, no storm damageas well as electricity for all.

We are warm (68F) but oh so windy here in the St. Louis area! Expecting a major temp dip this evening with a below freezing high tomorrow. Brrrrr! Glad you and the crew are staying safe & warm.
