Last week I mentioned that Primitive Gatherings would be attending an exciting new creative festival coming up in May, and then promised to share all the nitty-gritty details in a future post. Well, heads up — this is that post!

So let me ask you… what happens when you take an army of makers, mountains of supplies, and more creative energy than should legally be allowed in one place at one time, and put them all together under the same roof? You get the brand-new Fiber+Fabric Craft Festival in Rosemont, Illinois!

If you haven’t heard of it, that only makes sense — this is the Fiber+Fabric Craft Festival’s very first year in operation — exciting, I know! Put simply, the event is a massive, multi-day celebration of fiber and fabric arts with hundreds of makers, vendors, classes, workshops, and demos all under one roof at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.

Though we don’t attend nearly as many as we used to, I always love a good trade show — getting out of the studio and actually showing off what Primitive Gatherings does in person is something we never get tired of. The Fiber+Fabric Craft Festival is not just your regular fiber arts marketplace though — the event also offers classes, workshops, live demos, and art exhibits covering a huge range of mediums, with something for every skill level. Whether you are a seasoned maker or just dipping your toes in, there is plenty to keep you busy. Just take a look at this humongous floor plan!

As you can see from the map, this show is no small potatoes. There are multiple vendors spread across an enormous hall covering pretty much every fiber and fabric art you can think of — and then some! And the best part of the whole show? Primitive Gatherings Quilt Shop will be representing at booth 1817 all three days — Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, May 1st through 3rd, 2026. Want a closer look so you can plan your route?
