Hey, gang! Heidi, here. In case you don’t know who I am, let’s just say I’m the keeper of Lisa’s blog — aka official blog manager/guardian, and always lurking behind the scenes of every post making sure everything goes as it should. As most of you know, Lisa is off gallivanting in Paris for the next week and a half, which means she hasn’t really had much time to blog, but no worries. I’m sure she’ll have plenty of stories and photos to share when she gets back.

Since Lisa is most likely up to her elbows in tout ce qui est français as we speak, I thought I’d sneak on and check in with everyone about a couple of Primitive Gatherings related items worth mentioning, to help keep everyone on the same page.

First up — there will be no LIVE with (or without) Lisa tomorrow, Thursday, May 21st, 2026. With Lisa in France and Jess currently out of the studio, we decided to sit this one out. As much as I’d love to take over and host, I don’t know enough about quilting, so they won’t let me. It’s probably for the best…

Second on the list — a quick reminder about our Memorial Day holiday hours. Get your orders in now! Primitive Gatherings will be closed Sunday, May 24th and Monday, May 25th, 2026, giving our staff a well deserved couple of days off to do whatever their hearts desire. We will reopen for normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26th at 10:00 a.m. CST.

Third on the list — another reminder. Don’t forget that the second round of our Monthly Mini Quilt Series has officially come to an end. We are already busy preparing for round three, which kicks off July 23rd, 2026, but in the meantime, there will be no Monthly Mini release for May or June while we get caught up on things. Last but not least — we’re having a Demo Days event and I think you should come! On Tuesday, June 9th and Wednesday, June 10th, 2026, we’ll be hosting a new product demo event at The Gathering featuring functional sewing furniture designed to make your time at the machine even better. Stop in, try before you buy, enjoy some refreshments, grab a shot at some fun door prizes, and while you’re at it, sign up for a chance to win an Arrow Gidget II sewing table.
