Hey, everyone!

How many Christmas tree blocks can you fit into your sewing room before it officially becomes a quilty Christmas tree forest? I’m not sure there’s a scientific answer to that question, but I do know we’re pushing the limit by adding five more tree blocks to the Joyful Gatherings II Quilt-Along roster this week! We’re marching forward with blocks 16–20, and with those five stitched up, we’ll have just five more main blocks to go before we tackle the cornerstones during the final week.

The nice thing about a quilt-along like this is that time-wise, you can tackle it however you want. Completing five blocks a week to keep up with the QAL schedule certainly keeps the project moving forward; however, there’s nothing sacred about the calendar. Whether you choose to sew ahead or prefer to take your time, that’s your prerogative — the pattern will be waiting whenever you’re ready for the next batch!

I don’t always have time to blog first thing during the week — especially when I’m teaching or hosting a retreat, which I happened to be doing yesterday!
