Hi All…Did you miss me? It has been what… 2-3 days since my last post? I wish I could post on a regular basis more often…but I’m not Martha Stewart who has a person(s) in charge of her blog…only me…
I want to share something with you…Do you use Instagram or Facebook? FB owns Instagram so when I post to IG it automatically posts to FB..I love this…one stop posting…What I love about IG vs. blogging is thats it so easy to IG…it’s photos and a few words!!! we all love photos!!!! I Instagram almost everyday… so much more than I blog…so come on DO IT!! Use that smart phone of yours and sign up for IG go to the APP store.. its FREE, you will have 2 chances to WIN…I promise to still blog…when we have work to do and lots info to share…like our 12 Days of needful things…and give you more info…like directions here that I cannot do there…But I am there more than here…sorry if I’m confusing you…
Did I mention a give-away… I think this one is an awesome give-away!!! Fabric that now one else will have…well maybe one other beside you and me…so that’s three of us…
Do you have any Snowman Gatherings 1 or 2 fabrics? Or both??? Remember I am moving…you seen the pics of the lakehouse… So I’m slowly going through my fabric collection…
Do you know that when we design MODA fabric we get about 100 different pieces of fabric to pick 40 out of? So there are about 60 fabrics that never make it into the actual line…so what I’ve done is I cut up a bunch of snowman gatherings 2 that were technically never made… See these prints cut up here? I bet they are not in your FQ bundle or other precuts! I cut these rare fabrics into 5″ and 2″ squares that I have added to this snowball quilt! I have two sets of about 60 5″ and 240 2″ squares to give away…I know this isn’t enough to make this quilt, but I want to give it to someone who has purchased these fabric lines and wants to add this to theirs to make this quilt…
So the pattern here is easy…I actually used a layer cake of SG1 and SG2 and then Lakeside Gatherings & Woven (FQ or F8 bundles can also be used)…I cut 2- 5″ squares plus 8-2″ squares from stacked layers…I then proceed to make the light/dark snowball blocks by stitching across the diagonal corners of the 2″ square that were placed RSTon all four corners of the 5″ squares. Remember to stitch dark 2″ on light 5″ and then reverse to stitch light 2″ on dark 5″…Simple…I then make nine patches with the snowball blocks…I pieced 30-9 patch/snowball blocks…6 rows of 5 blocks each…Here is a picture of the rows…67 1/2″x 81″ which will be a nice lap/couch quilt, if not a twin size quilt. 1-10″ square = 2- 4 1/2″ finished snowball blocks or 126-10″ squares …So you need 3 layer cakes place 6 more 10″ squares to make this quilt the same size I did.
It was not my intention for this to be a selling post..but I know some of you will ask…yes, we still have some precuts of these lines…you also can use charm packs and mini charms…252-5″ charms & 1080 2″ squares.(mini charms can be cut down to 2″ & 4 mini charms packs to every charm pack you have) .I don’t know if we have 10 or 50 of anything, so first come first served… I just really wanted to give-away some rare fabric here. I know I give away lots of mini charms in my workshops!!! SG2 LAYERCAKE & LAKESIDE GATHERINGS LC You can also check the CA store. Primitive GatheringsCA I think they even have some SG1 still there, it may be easier to call CA 951-304-9787. I didn’t give the stores a heads up here…so I hope I don’t start mass chaos!
One set I will give away on Instagram/Facebook.. The other here…
So tell me WHY I should send these to you! Remember to make it good…these fabrics are extremely rare and only you and I and one other person in the world will own them!!!
I love this time between Christmas and New Years…I don’t get to cook often and when I do I love to try something different each time…I tried this Mexican casserole yesterday…I made a few changes as for some reason I know what will taste better…so here’s the new recipe…
Mexican Chicken Bake
2 cups of cooked brown rice- (measure 1 cup uncooked rice to make 2 cooked rice)
1 rotisserie chicken or about lb of cooked chicken breast cut up
2- 14.5oz cans of fire roasted diced tomatoes
14.5oz can of black beans-drained
1 red and 1 green pepper, diced up
1 cup of frozen corn
1 Tablespoon Cumin
1 Tablespoon Chili powder
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 cups of shredded cheese
sour cream-I like to use plain greek yogurt too.
taco sauce/hot sauce for garnish and extra flavor
Spread cooked rice on bottom of greased/sprayed 9×13 pan.
Shuck chicken meat off of the rotisserie chicken.
In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except cheese. Spread over rice.
Cover with tinfoil and bake at 375 degrees for 45 min.
Spread cheese on top and bake for another 15 min at 300 degrees.
Serve with sour cream/greek yogurt and hot sauce/taco sauce.

Okay … I’ll try it!!!!! And girl, you are on fire. No apologies for what didn’t get done! Just look at what you did get done!!!
Because! That’s my reason. And that I love PG! Have a great week.
OMG, am I first? I’m never first! So for that reason alone, I should win these beautiful fabrics right? And the snowball is one of my absolute favorite quilts. And now, I’ll follow you on Instagram too :-).
haha, not quite first! got too wordy in my comments!!
I love all your fabrics and I do especially like this line and would feel so blessed to win it. Happy New Year and Happy Move too!
I would like to enter the giveaway. I do have some of the line but not for myself. I have a friend who loves blue and is so giving that I purchased the line to make something for her. Now I know what to make and it would become even more personalized if it included fabric that was unique. My Friend, Becky is always doing for her family and friends but does not have anything hanging on her quilt racks for herself. I would love to be able to do this for her. Love your blog and love seeing your booth in Madison, Wisc.
I really, really need these, LOL. Love all your fabric lines.
I need the fabric because I love your fabric line and always seem to be drawn to it when I walk into any fabric store. I love the snowball quilt. Already follow you on Instagram.
Why should I win these lovely blocks? Well I am a Snowman Gathering HOARDER…yes, I have charm packs and some yardage of both but love it too much to cut! So I look and fondle…look and fondle…IF I were to win I would add them to the mix and SOMEDAY I would make a gorgeous quilt…like your SNOWBALL QUILT! Gorgeous quilt! This is the PERFECT QUILT to make using these fabrics!! Then I could look and fondle as as I snuggle under THIS quilt! Now that just sounds down right… naughty! Thanks for the chance! :o))
P
Okay. So now I have new cutting boards, lots of notions, a new light box AND a Juki. I think I am in “need” of this fabulous fabric .😄😊😌. Have decided that my crazy world of 2014 and 2015 shall give way to a more settled 2016 and quilting will be my anchor.. ( How many people do you know have remarried to the “greatest” at the age of 67!?
Happy, happy New Year to some of my favorite creative people!
I LOVE these fabrics…..both I and II. I would be sewing on this snowball quilt so fast if I won these! I also love your Lakside colors and can’t wait to see your new house all decorated!
I love all your fabric lines. Thank you for a chance to win some of your fabrics. Happy New Year.
I love that fabric line in fact have made a couple items, it would be great to have more.
I’d love to win this!!
Oh – I hit Post too quickly ! Because… I don’t have a lot of time to sew and this looks like a quickie! Plus I do have some of the Snowman fabric already (although I’ve used a lot of it in other projects!!)
OK so here is my reason Please please please please please please please!!!!! I have purchased over 20 yards of the little snowman face and 20 yards of the snowmen fabric – everytime I make it to your store I purchase some and from the store around us (Ben Franklin). When I find fabric that I fall in love with I make sure that I have lots of it!!!! I never want to run out of it – yes I do use it I am not a hoarder (even though my husband thinks I am heehee). I love your fabrics!! Thank you. Have a wonderful Happy New Year!
Hi Lisa,
Thanks for such a super awesome giveaway. I don’t have a ‘good’ reason why you should award me the rare fabric. I’ll just say I would be so honored to have it. I know this may sound ‘odd’ but. . . I just found out about your store, blogs, etc about 1.5 years ago. Since then, I’ve followed your ‘stuff’ because it is the primitive style I adore. Guess I was living under a rock – ha! Anyway, i would be honored to win. Happy New Year.
Lisa, I do have the snowman gatherings fabric and don’t have quite enough for a quilt this would help me finish up the quilt I want to make for my grand daughter! Please send me some, pretty please. I am not above begging lol…
I would love to win these because I am a lover of fabric….good quality fabric! Moda is my favorite fabric line and PG has so many of my favorite projects!
Will also be moving but from 5 bedroom home to a much smaller apartment.
Need small projects so this fabric would fit the bill.
thanks
What a special treat to share! You should pick me because I won’t pet it and just stick it in my collection, but will make it a priority in 2016 🙂 Then next December, when I get a few weeks off, I’ll quilt it. These are my colors! Pretty please?? Thanks for the chance, Lisa! Happy New Year to you and yours!
Snowman Gatherings is one of my all time favorite fabric lines! I have four charm packs and various other half yard cuts lovingly stored waiting for that perfect project. Lakeside Gatherings was my passion last year and the yellow in that collection makes me swoon! Snowman II made me so happy to be able to add to my Primitive Gatherings stash (along with Holiday Gatherings and others)! And lastly you never make it to the Atlanta shows, you always send your fabulous team but then your southern fans don’t get to meet you! Thanks for sharing your time and talent with all of us!
Why I should win these fabrics? Because I never win anything! I am sure others can say that too. I think it would be a rare treasure to own fabric that only 2 other people own. What an heirloom that would be! Someone will be very lucky. Thank you for being so generous.
Your casserole looks as great as the quilt. Am sitting at home watching a blizzard in sw Iowa and would love a new project to get these old bones moving even if I have a closet full of wool projects (am working on crazy table runners) . Have a great New Year.
The fabrics need to be in Sunny California where we dream about the snowmen we can never have in our backyard. I would protect them..give them a proper label to honor their rarity… and even breakdown and join Instagram to share the photo of the final result!
Because…the fabrics are beautiful, rare and it would be a personal gift from you! I already have some fat quarters and would be able to add these fabrics to a project! Thanks for the chance to win…awesome “gift-away!”
I do have your snowman line but not for myself. My friend Becky loves blue and snowmen but is too busy doing for her family and friends to complete projects for herself. She has quilt racks made by her husband with nothing on them. I would love to make a unique throw for one of those racks just for her. Her birthday is in March and with your easy pattern I could get it done. Wish me luck!!!
Why me , well that is easy because I love these fabrics and right now the snow is blowing rather fierce outside my window and making a quilt with these gorgeous fabrics would be a dream come true 😉
Because my birthday is Thursday ~ 31 December! Jackie Hale
You should really send these rare & precious Snowman Gathering fabrics to me because they’ll be the only new snowmen I’ll see here in GA this winter. It’s in the mid 70’s & has rained for days on end. We needed flip flops & fans on Christmas day instead of scarves & gloves. Not that I mind warm weather, but mosquitos on Christmas day…really?
Pick me, Pick me, Pick me! There isn’t a piece of PG fabric that I don’t LOVE! These rare PG fabrics need to get cozy with all my other PG precuts & yardage so I can make quilts & wallhangings for my family. It was only recently that I found your blog & started to follow you but I have learned so much about how to piece accurately & received lots of inspiration! Thank you for sharing your talents with us!
PICK ME! PICK ME!!! Lol! I should have that fabric to make lots of one-of-a-kind, impossible to reproduce, jewelry! Then lots of people could have a little bit of it! Yep,…sounds like a good plan to me!
I just love your fabric line. Its right up my alley. I would make this quilt for my Son and his new bride. Thank you so much. Happy New Year.
Lisa
I have some snowman gatherings and would love to add to my stash and make myself s wonderful quilt! Since I shop do oftentimes with my quilting buddies, we often have some of the same things so having this special fabric would let me make an awesome quilt that no one else good!!
Thanks for the chance to win!!
I love your fabric designs and everything you do. I now find myself single working two jobs. I have very little time to see but I do when I can. I save my money to buy your fabric. I bought my self a light box you put on the 12 Days of Christmas as a Christmas present to me. Thank you for all you do to inspire so many including myself. I don’t have either of your Snowman fabric but I hope soon.
Welllll – I don’t deserve to win. I have too much fabric. 🙂 BUT, I used some up the last two months so I have a little hole. I love anything set on point, and that first picture of the snowball block is great. Now don’t give away too much for your move or later you will be looking for that piece you know you have and just don’t can’t seem to find. I find that’s a good time for rearranging so you REALLY can’t find what you’re looking for next time. 🙂
I love everything you do and would love to have something unique of yours. plus, it is freezing rain outside – I drove to work and my boss is on vacation calling me every five minutes to make sure that I have more than enough work to get done. He doesn’t have the holiday spirit.
I’m “gathering” your Gatherings to create my own little bit of your creativity! Love your Anchor story, mine is a Zuni bear story.
WOW, Lisa!!! This is amazing!! I have some of your first two SG fabrics! This would be amazing!! And I would make up your beautiful snowball quilt! What a great give-away! I REALLY hope I can win!!
You should pick me because I am a collector of fine fabrics & antique quilts. I have been a collector of fabric since I was 7 & I would be very privileged to have this one of a kind to use with the rest of the line & I would make it my first project to sew on my new machine.🎄😀
I should win because I LOVE your Snowman Gatherings lines, I have fabrics and precuts from both, AND I actually use them. There are two little finished pieces made from these fabrics that will go up in my house next week, and there are three more flimsies made from these fabrics that are in the queue to get quilted. My snowman fabrics are getting used and I’m needing to replenish the supply. Would love to include some rare prints in the mix. Besides, if I win I would send you some soap. There, is that reason enough? Except you probably know that I would be happy to send you soap either way, so it was a weak argument, I know. : )
Pick me! Pick me! Pick me! There isn’t a piece of PG fabric that I don’t LOVE! These treasured fabrics need to get cozy with my other PG pre-cuts & yardage so I can sew quilts & wallhangings for my family. It was only recently that I found your blog & started to follow you but I have learned so much about accurate piecing & found lots of inspiration. Thank you for sharing your talents with us!
I love snowmen. I love your fabrics. I have some that you gave us in class last spring. So I need this to go with the other you gave me. Please and thank you! Happy New Year!
I follow you on IG. Now I need to look at IG each day. I would love to win rare Snowman Gatherings fabric squares to add to what I have now. When I win I will create a quilt. Maybe not the snowball quilt you show, but something else fun.
I love the Snowman Gatherings fabrics, and I was thinking I should make my mother a lap quilt for her 90th birthday in February. I might be able to get that done with this pattern. (I’m a very slow quilter) Plus, since she lives in Florida, she never gets to see snowmen anymore. And it would be a great excuse to buy more. I think I will go sign up for Instagram now. Thank you for all your hard work.
I have both of your other fabrics-who could pass these up? You are so sweet to offer a give away-would LOVE to make this quilt.
Can’t wait to make your casserole recipe too, looks delicious.
What a great scrap quilt–looks wonderful with easy blocks. Thanks for the pattern.
I must get MORE snowman fabric before they melt away! Thank you!
I would love to win this fabric. I have the mini charms, the charm (5 inch) pack ,a layer cake and a little bit of yardage. I have it on the top of my to do pile after Christmas and it is going to be a quilt for —-ME! So excited to make a quilt for myself in fabric that I love. I have made the mini charms up in hexis. I have been having fun trying to decide what I am going to do with them. I think this is my favorite of your fabric lines – not just because you are giving some away. That’s why I decided this has to be for me.
I really enjoyed the 12 Days of Christmas! I look forward to that every year.
I have quite a bit of both Snowman lines but had shoulder surgery on my dominate arm and have not been able to rotary cut anything since Late August. So I can only work with precuts so far and these fabrics of yours would be wonderful to get me started on a quilt that is pretty much ready to sew. Thanks for the giveaway, Lisa. Love seeing the pics of your new home!
I am going to make that casserole with leftover turkey!
O.K. that snowball quilt is the perfect combo for my husband…. who loves the color blue and snow!
I would like to make it for him in gratitude for the comfort and love he has brought to my life. We both lost our spouses 6 years ago to cancer but have started a new life together. I made him the Gallery of Stars quilt with fabric from your store back in 2012… time for another one.
May all of your wishes come true in 2016.
You had me at Moda! Love fabric by Moda. My friends laugh at me cause I don’t care about label clothing but I am a fabric snob. You can see and feel the difference between good quality fabric. If you pick me I am.going to share with my quilting friend Chrissy. We will passed it back and forth to see what each of us will make. I use the fabric (nickname is zoom zoom) so I will.post up what we make.
Thank you for the recipe. Will sub the chicken with my leftover Turkey!
Happy sewing
Tamara
I should win because my reolution s to learn how to use a sewing machine so when u use a machine, will have time to use all that fabulous fabric!
Of course I should have these yummy fabrics! I made the teeny snowman quilt using the layer cake and have a lot leftover. Those itty bitty flying geese did not use up much! Happy 2016,
I would love to win so I could add these one-of-a-kind fabrics with my Lakeside Layer Cake set…I’ve been waiting for something special to use this Layer Cake for….so, maybe this is it!
Oh gosh Lisa you are so generous. I would love these fabrics because I will actually make the snowball quilt!
Thanks for the chance.
Lori
These fabrics are too cool!
I have been collecting this line form a local shop and have fat quarters and would love to win more so I can make a nice quilt for next winter. I am always making things for others and don’t have any quilts for christmas, so this year I am going to take the time to make quilts so I have some for next Christmas.
Debbie
Because I love snowmen, always have had a crush on them. I would love to snuggle with them in a quilt and pillows.
Always have room for new fabric. I would love to make this quilt so it would be a great addition to what I already have.
I am a Southern CA girl. We do not have snow here, but my father, who passed away 2 years ago December, was from Minneapolis, so I have heard many stories of how life was growing up in the snow, and walking to and from school in the freezing snow. If I won this fabric, I would make a quilt in memory of my father and all of my Minnesota family. They are the best a family could ask for.
Yes! I did miss your blogs. For a few days after the 2nd day I kept checking, even after the whole thing was over I kept checking. My should I win the freeby fabric…because I love the snowman prints…I bought the BOM Warm Winter Blessings and the extra fabric would be great for shams or pillows. How exciting to have that extra fabric that no one else (almost) has. Have a very MERRY and HAPPY New Year!!! That recipe sounds great! I’ll have to try it.
I am working on Mr. Snowman right now! My grandson name is Charlie… Which fits perfectly! That alphabet is amazing! ( directions were great and well written) I love these fabrics! The kit is very generous, so the leftovers will be good start for your snowball quilt! I have a snowball quilt in reds and creams…but I am a Blue Girl at heart! Even though we have moved to Northwest…least for awhile (husband is in Air Force), we are born and raised Minnesota people and will always love the snow! Nothing like cozing up on a cold winter’s night!
I have yardage, and jelly roll, and 5″ squares of both Snowman lines. My daughter is a Christmas freak – starts decorating in October. This is one line of fabric she loves (she is not a quilter, and very picky to make something for) So far I have made her a table topper, but would love to make her a quilt for the season. So, ok, my granddaughter is not here, but I will try the instragram ap – which me luck. (She got me a selfie stick for Christmas and has to give instruction. hehe). Wonderful Christmas posts – you never cease to amaze and educate me.
I am SUCH a huge fan of this fabric line. I have the snowman gathering 1 and 2 and have purchased all the wool for the warm winter blessings but haven’t started it. I have been waiting and asked myself, “why are you waiting?” NOW I know, it’s so I would have something different from everyone else, this extra special fabric!!! I love this fabric line. This would be soooo very special to win this extra special gift.
I have even added this fabric line in my other quilts because I love it so much. Like I said HUGE fan. Thank you for what you do. You give inspiration with your wonderful creations!
This is perfect timing! I am gathering fabric to do the Mr. Snowman pattern that you designed and didn’t buy the kit because I want to make it my own…I’m swapping the white fabrics of the snowman for tans for a more primitive look and these fabrics would only add to the personalization! Thanks for the chance to win!
There is probably someone more needful than me who should win, but I really would love it if I did! I am a fan of your fabric and designs”,
I could use a little “SNOWMAN” to make it feel like WINTER in ARIZONA …
How about because I NEEEEED them! There are just some things that need to come and live at my house! And as I type this we are getting 12 inches of snow today…..so I guess I better make me some snow ball blocks….say that fast 5 times!
I did not know Moda produced more fabrics than what came out in the line. This is fascinating nod would love it if you shared more of your quilt/fabric design adventures. I do not have any of the snowman gatherings line but would love the mini charms to make a special little quilt. I do collect snowman. I just ordered the 21/2×21/2 ruler to do a small quilt with mini charms. Thank you for the fun opportunity!!
I am working on the mystery block of the month at fat quarter shop which is using your fabric line. It would be great to use the extra fabric to make a pieced border for the quilt. Love the fabrics.
Hi Lisa, your gatherings lines reminds me of my Minnesota roots and growing up with the snowy winters. I don’t miss them now in Ca but I reminence (sp) of those cold winter days often. Love both of your stores and your fabric lines. I do have some of #1 line…❄️❄️❄️
Snowmen are rare in the part of the NW I live in so the only ones I have are in fabric or a doll. Adding these to my collection would be wonderful.
Gorgeous fabrics would inspire me to get creative in 2016 – always start the year with a fresh project!
The colors in these fabric lines are so inviting. Lovely work on the designing. Blessings also for your new home. I’m enjoying seeing the pictures of the beautiful touches you are adding.
Thank you Lisa for this wonderful opportunity. Love the snowman snowball quilt and would enjoy making it. I have some of the snowman gatherings first collection, haven’t collected from the 2nd collection yet. I also have some of the Lakeside gatherings fabric so a good start towards this beautiful quilt. I work on community service quilts every week but have to admit if I won some of this fabric, this one would be for me. Would fit perfectly in my family room.
You’re right IG is easy! I started following you before quilt market last year. I couldn’t be there but I could get a peek of what’s new through IG posts.
I just prepped my snowman gatherings 2 fabric before Christmas. I wanted to be ready for a winter project. I would love to win your “2 of a kind” fabric! Winters here in WI are long and the more fabric the bigger and longer the project can be. It helps the time go faster until warmer weather.
Thanks for the recipe. We’re big fans of Mexcian food in our house so I will definitely try your dish.
I purchased Snowman Gathering 2 to make your Lost Mittens quilt for my Mom. I love these fabrics and would really like to make the Snowball quilt for myself ! Really enjoy it when you include recipes for us to try!
I bought the kit to make Mr.Snowman. It will be for my first grandchild who will arrive in April! I am so excited and have many other quilts to make for him. I actually have the snowball quilt pattern taken from a magazine waiting to be started. Love the simple design and all the blues in your fabric line. I also wanted to say that I love your accounts of the progress of your house, pretty colors and I bet it will be fabulous when you are finished.
I would love to win the fabric!!! I have multiple precuts of #1 and #2 as well as the kits of Winter Garden(which is almost done). I have the Snowball table runner done and also Warm Winter Blessings has been started. I recently purchased 3 Mr Snowman kits to make for my Sons and Daughter-in-laws for next Christmas!!!! By the way I just found out I will be Grandma for the first time in July!!!!!! Have fun building your new house and Happy New Year to you!!!!!
Lisa, I just love your fabrics and your shop in Menasha. Got to stop by there on a vacation a couple of years ago. I just have to have that fabric! Would make my stitch group so jealous! No, the real reason, I just love it! Will be trying your recipe too. Looks delicious.
My New Year’s resolution—use up some of my stash!!! So I could become very inspired to start a quilt using your entertaining snowmen fabrics. I (of course) already have some in my stash and this giveaway would be just the thing to get that new quilt started. Thanks for all the fun you share with us!
Barb M.
I would like to make some pillows to match my PG snowman quilt.
I love the simplicity of the fabrics, colors and pattern!
LovE the snow me. Fabrics. Have fat quarter PA ks of both and would love to win!
Signing up for Instagram now, don’t want to miss your posts. Casserole looks yummy. Will have to try it.
I would love this rare fabric! I am looking to make a quilt for my bed and this would be perfect! I would put it over my white duvet and it would look so nice! I think my hubby would even like it! Thanks for all you do Lisa!
well, somehow I missed getting any snowman gatherings fabrics, so how awesome would it be to have my very own collection of rare, never before seen fabrics of my own?! The recipe looks great, I’ll have to try it, always looking for something new.
I have made several of the patterns that came out with both the SG1 and SG2. I LOVE the lines. You always do such a great job with the pattern and scale and colors. I have been trying to straighten and really have no need of more fabric. But when has need ever played a part in what we buy and make. I have always enjoyed your talent and your patterns are very well written. You are an inspiration. Susan W. in Utah

OH MY! I would LOVE to win the fabric give-away because I have been collecting Snowman Gatherings charm packs since they first came on the market. I am saving up to make a queen size quilt and almost used them this year to make a jacket instead because it is taking me so long to get all the packs I need. I am up to seven packs now and the rare addition would be wonderful. If I do not win I will just have to keep collecting.
Who knows maybe I will be making the quilt with S. G. X-XI! Do you think I should arrange the blocks in chronological order????
Thank you so much and have a Happy New Year!
I LOVE both lines!!! And have fabric from both (not to mention the patterns as well). It would be amazing to add these lovely fabrics to my collection.
I need the fabric. I have scraps from both snowman lines. This would help me have enough for a quilt. Thanks for the chance to win.
What a coincidence! A couple of days ago, I found some Snowman Gatherings 1 in my stash. I had bought it to make pillow cases for our bed but had forgotten about it. I made them up on Boxing Day and they turned out so nice. Now it would be great to make a quilt to match. I love all your fabric. Its hard to find here in Ontario, Canada.
I love the soft blue colors in Snowmen Gathering, line 1 and have a Layer cake waiting for an idea to use it. The pattern for the quilt you featured would make good use of the layer cake with the additional of the “rare” fabrics you are offering to giveaway. The part of the country where I live never has enough snow to make an outdoor snowman. Thanks, Lisa, for the chance in the giveaway.
I can think of no other reason than its my birthday on January 1st and this would be a beautiful and wonderful gift (besides that I never get fabric on my special day!!) Oh, and I am now following you on IG (@winkowl)
I should win this because I am in West Yellowstone, MT where it was minus -27 below last night. This fabric would light me on fire sewing and keep me warm until it warms up outside. Would love to win.
I am a NY transplant living in Florida. Cute, quality snowman fabric is hard to come by. None of the quilt shops in my area carried snowman gatherings. I ordered some from your WI store and then bought more when I flew to WI this past June. I made my new daughter-in-law a quilt from it for her October birthday and I’d like to make myself one. You are beyond generous with your time and talents….thank you for that. And if I don’t win, it’s still nice to be able to try:) Happy 2016!!!!
Love those fabrics! I would truly treasure them and use them.
I have a design for a winter quilt almost done. I have a snowmen family (or should I say snow people) tucked in for a winter snooze, but I have been contemplating what design to use for the quilt body. The snowballs would be perfect. It is a twin bed size so snowballs out of your fabric would be perfect. It is for a 7 year old girl who loves snowmen.
I have 1 and 2! would love to add these so my quilt will be even bigger and better!
You should send to me
Because I LOVE that snowball quilt with those fabrics. Oh and I know you want to send them to me.
Yummy
I love your blogs but I am confused on how to win the Moda scraps. I didn’t know when posting a picture on Instagram it instantly went Facebook. Thanks so much for telling me that.
Happy new year.
I have both snowman I & 2 fat quartet bundles. This would be so cool to add to them. I was even planning on making a snowball quilt. I guess it’s meant to be!!
Because I am feeling lucky! Hope I win.
There is a box in my sewing nest that I have been filling with a collection Snowman Gatherings fabric that I purchased online from PG and at several quilt shows here in PA. Winning these beautiful PG fabrics would probably be just enough to make a wonderful throw.
Because I would LOVE to own and share these special fabrics…and because this is the only time I have ever left a comment on a blog post!!! It’s that special!
Like Frosty the Snowman, these fabrics will make me “as happy as can be!” What better quilt to make as the ice storm rages on in Illinois.
I MUST win this to satisfy the combination of addictions to snowman and your fabric! I have purchase both sg1 and sg2. They’re so pretty I hate to cut them. These precuts would be perfect for the hand paper pieced six pointed star quilt I have started. I’ll keep my fingers crossed! Thank you for continuing to be so generous.
Ok you said you, I and only one other person would own this. I have the fabric line, it makes me happy. ( I think I have most of your fabric lines and used them in many of my favorite quilts. I like being one of few. I am a WAC, I served in the U.S. Army from 1974-1979 and am now a disabled veteran who quilts for solace and peace. I see your recipe is Mexican bake and I am 100% Mexican American. I think I have it all covered. I would love to win this unique collection of fabrics.
Because it will light a fire under me to start a new quilt using my PG precuts that are in a drawer! The addition of those fabrics would be a great incentive!!!!!
The ladies in my quilting bee have been collecting blue, cream and tan fabrics for years. We have yet to decide on a pattern, but keep collecting. This snowball quilt would be a perfect way to show them off. Having rare Snowman Gatherings included would be a huge bonus!!! Happy Holidays, Lisa!
Snowman gatherings is the fabric line I have used for two quilts recently. Blues being out of my color wheel but using them has inspired me to think out of the box. Both were gifts, both well accepted. I love these fabric lines as well as all of your fabrics/wool. I have leftover fabrics, not enough to make anything with so if I was chosen, I would put these fabrics to good use combining them with what I already have to make another beautiful quilt.
I want to win as the time after Christmas is for blue and white and snowman. We are having blizzardy stuff today to boot.!
I should win because snowmen are my most favoritest things. When I decorate for the holidays I have a wall of nothing but snowmen I have collected. I love love love them and I would give them a good home and they could be in good company. Pick me as a winner!!
I should win because I love all your fabrics and I love snowman fabric–Love, Love the quilt….
Because they are my favorite colors and fabric line! Thanks
I would love to win these fabrics for my sister as she has the fabric & would love this.
Why should I win? Because the fabrics I have from 1 & 2 need to be reunited with the rest of their family!
I should win because I did not get any quilty stuff for Christmas! I need a fabric fix desparately! Thanks for the opportunity to win!
I love the snowman gatherings line of fabric. Two years ago I made 14 table runners for family using this fabric. I have some leftover yardage and have bought more from this line. I really love it. I can’t really say why I should have bonus fabric over someone else other than it would bring a smile to my face and cheer to my heart. and motivate me to get back to quilting. I am a recent widow as of October 4th, 2015, and I have too many tears.
With the last name Snow, of course I’d love to win the snow orphans. And I deserve something wonderful this Christmas, as I survived a knee replacement in September and managed to pull of a family Christmas while in the process of becoming mobile, so that my disappearing husband could see hjs kids and grandkids while he still just might recognize them. The pressure is off and I need something to focus on.
Cherish your man, things happen. I’m off to work on last years snowman freebie. Ethel Smow
First let me say the Mexican dish looks great and I am going to try it. After all the traditional American Christmas foods this should be a good change! Thanks for sharing the recipe
I would like to win the fabrics because they are special to you and therefore special to me.
I think I should win these rare fabrics because I like my steaks medium rare. That must mean we are compatible. Also I have made several of your kits with snow gatherings and just love them. Back in October I traveled from Texas to your Wisconsin store. It was amazing and I found some “rare ” finds.
So pick me!! 😉👍🏻
I believe I should win these fabrics because I live in Canada and the exchange rate right now is killing us to buy anything from the States. I do have some lakeside gathering FQ’s that i have been saving for the right quilt. lol. This could be it…
I would add them to the snowman fabric I already have and make a winter quilt to go with the snow falling this morning here in NE. Happy New Year!
I received a jelly roll of PG 2 from my secret sister for Christmas, but 1 jelly roll isn’t enough so I NEED more.
Hi Lisa, Snowmen are my favorites and I do have some of the original fabrics and I love the snowball block. I do not have a smart phone so am sending my message this way. I would love to win some more fabric as you can never have enough — shhhhhhh just don’t tell my husband. the quilt you made is beautiful. Today is perfect for sewing as it is snowing like crazy. til I get back to the shop I enjoy all your posts. Donna Kemp 618 Sanborn Street Lacrosse WI 54603
I have both 1 & 2 and this would be an excellent addition to my set. I’ve made the Warm Winter Blessing snowmen and love this line of fabric!
Why??? Because I love them ….. Snowmen too…… Happy New Year!
I do love this line of fabric and would love to have the special fabic. It would be such a beautiful addition to make my quilt. I too am going through a house renovation of our lake house. The difference is we are living in the house and have been for a year. This is what happens when my husband and son do all the work. My sewing room has been packed away so i enjoy seeing all your lovely fabrics and and projects which are so inspiring. I do sew on a small table in our bed/family room. Right now I’m working a baby quilt for my great niece and have to start one for our first grandchild, Lara arrived 12/3 . Thanks for the chance yo win.
OMG I would be the luckiest quilter in the world to win these. I have two towers one of each of the snowman . Then we bought 60 or so of the candies last year and made table runners for our guild Xmas party. They were a big hit. The only promblem we forgot to keep enough for ourselves . So to have fabric that no one else has would make mine special. Then a lap quilt too, to lucky. You have a Happy New Year.
I’d really love to win these fabrics for my 13 year old daughter. She was so fond of snowman gatherings 1 that I bought her a mini charmpack last year. With that in hands, she started some stitcheries and framed them with the mini’s. Then she decided she wanted a full, bedsized quilt, so thanksgiving 2014 I ordered lots of fabric from your webshop. She worked hard and made a beautiful quilt. She entered it in the Open European Quilt Championship in Maastricht, the Netherlands, and she won an award of merit! I’m so proud of her!! We bought some SG 2 last month, but I’m sure she would appreciate such a gift!! If you like, we can send you a picture of the quilt.
Lots of love from the Netherlands!!

Recipe looks delicious and so does the “rare” fabric. I love fabric so I need these to add to my collection.

Hi Lisa, I have been collecting your Snowman Gatherings to build my collection to make a special quilt for my son. After reading your newsletter today I decided to download the IG app and create my sign-in just so I could follow you on Instgram. Your invitation was inticing. I like your style! Wishing you and your family a wonderful new year!
What an awesome giveaway! I didn’t realize so many designs were made for a fabric line. If I won I’d make a quilt for my son. He is in the Marine Corps and next May he will be leaving for his third deployment. I’d love to make him a lap quilt that he could take with him to snuggle under and feel our arms around him. I’d be using this wonderful fabric for my wonderful son. How perfect would that be!
Thanks for a chance to win.

I’ve just begun buying your beautiful fabrics (and other stuff-love the Christmas mug and the little rulers) and I would love to have more! It would be a great business expander for you, too, as I live in Canada!
I love your fabric and patterns and already have some of the snowman fabric. It would be so wonderful to include the rare fabrics in my quilt too!
I love both 1 and 2, have both of them, even have a kit, buy some every time I see it. I have the layer cakes and can make a snowball quilt of my own if I win the 2″ or 5″ squares and that would be wonderful and set my new year off to a good start.
Hi there! I’m a primitive decor girl & these colors would fit so pretty in my home! As both of us know a primitive is usually one of a kind so… Your fabrics would be another ‘one of a kind’n. ☺️ Thanks for sharing.
I would love to be selected for the snowman gathering prize. Last spring a purchased A pack to make the Moda snow pile quilt. I have not yet started the pattern, as I need to add to My collection to be certain I am not stuck with an unfinished project. I am a rather new Quilter since I retired, and would love to get this project under way. Thank you for making this Maybe possible.

Why should Lisa send these fabrics to me? Well, I love them. I wish I could tell you about all the tragedy in my life, sickness, death, pain and suffering. But except for some financial struggles due to the California housing market, I’ve been blessed with fairly good health and a great husband late in life. I will say that he goes to work every day to a job he hates so we can pay the bills. Love this man. If I won, in going to tell him its a sign that he will be able to find a job he loves, which I hope will encourage him. So maybe pick me as I can give my cutie husband a bit of new years encouragement. Thanks Lisa.
Please please please pick me ☺ive been a good girl -going thru a rough and tough year!!!! Appreciate your consideration…. I’m a huge fan and we have a lot in common..👼
I love your snowman collection . I think the rare ones need to be added to my stack. They would be very happy here..
I do not deserve these fabrics more than anyone else, but I like them and would use them for a sweet wintery project.
Blue is my favorite color so, of course, I have some SG1 and SG2. I’ve used some in a scrappy quilt but have plenty left to make the snowball quilt. And how special it would be to have fabric in it that only you and I have. When making the same quilt as my friends, I’ve always changed up something to make it a little different…to make it mine. Being able to include the fabrics that you designed but weren’t in the final line would make it just that. Thanks for your giveaway.
Because I love all of your Snowman Gatherings fabric!
Oh, I really don’t deserve those beautiful fabrics, even though I haven’t really been naughty. I just really want them. Let’s be honest! But I do promise to make something nice for someone who does deserve them. I’ll just love them while I babysit them and cut them and sew them back together for awhile. Happy New Year!
Thanks for the opportunity to win fabric! What fun to have so many prints to choose from – I know you must have a blast when the box arrives with your new fabric designs.
Lisa,
That looks like a wonderful give-a-way and I appreciate the fact that you are doing it in a way that I can also enter. We are seniors and do not really use face book nor do we even have a cell phone! I love your fabrics and all the tips, clues and ideas that you so generously share with us quite often AND I think that recipe looks SUPER. I can’t wait to try it for my wonderful husband. Thank you.
Hey, Lisa thanks for the yummy sounding recipe. Also, I believe I should win the Snowman Gatheringleftovers because I will get the quilt done pronto!I have done several of your Block of the Weeks, manyof your patterns, and enjoy the process of finishingyour beautiful designs.Sincerely, Patsye Knight
Thank you for the fabric.
So I collect old and odd things – vintage machines, thread on wooden spools, scrap bags left by elderly deceased aunts, and the like. I’m just about finished with the wool appliqué blocks from your Words to Live By kit. Those rare and special fabrics are treasures I would love! Pick me! Pick me!
I bought the table runner kit with the snowmen on the ends because I loved the fabric. Since I haven’t done it yet, it would be so easy to add these extra fabrics in. Love the whole line. I have done a block of the week and am currently doing a block of the month. Thanks for the chance.
I would loved to be considered for this give away. I have purchased a lot of this fabric and am currently making a block of the month out of this fabric. I purchased more of this fabric when I was at a retreat in Wisconsin in September. I am always amazed at Lisa’s creativity and color palettes. I would love to make this quilt with original fabrics that very few people have. I make quilts for Christmas gifts for family members. I got my live for quilt from my Grandmother. She would have loved all the new quilting fabric and all the gadgets that you can now days.
I started a quilt with my grandmother years ago and did not finish it until years later. I gave it to my oldest daughter when she got married. I would love to use this fabric be able to make a one of a kind quilt for another one of my children. I have 5 kids so have plenty of need for many quilts for children and grand children. Thanks for sharing these fabrics for someone.
Lisa, I made a Churn Dash quilt for a friend and used many of the snowman gathering fabrics in the quilt. It was just navy and cream. I would love to have these fabrics to make a snowball quilt. I have not made one. I am even willing to split the prize with another lucky reader. I follow you daily, and love your work. Thanks for the delicious recipe and the chance to win. 🙂
Love all your fabrics, especially these, and I’m gonna be snowed in for awhile, so what better thing to do than make snow balls out of snowman fab? AND your rice casserole too!
OMG! I would love to get those! I have jelly rolls, charm packs and miscellaneous fat quarters of all of your lines! I love the creative ideas that you come up with. These extra pieces would be a great addition to my collection, and I definitely love the pattern you have provided!! Heartfelt thanks for all you do!
Dear Lisa,
Why should you “pay it forward” to me? Well, wouldn’t it be wonderful if I then would “pay it forward”? How would I do it? I would make something lovely to keep my mom warm and cozy in the Primitive Gatherings tradition! She is moving in with my husband and me this year, and I have a room to decorate for her. She wants tans, creams, and blues! Seriously? YES! So what better to do with my large collection of Snowman Gatherings neutrals than to add your rare fabrics? Rare fabrics for a rare lady, my mom!
Thanks for reading,
Sincerely,
Carol
What an awesome offering! I also have pieces from most of your fabric lines and have done quite a number of your patterns . . . I love them all :0)) As a pattern designer, I use bits and pieces of almost everything in all of my various patterns. Your color combinations are fantastic and they are quite often a jumping off point for a creation that is stuck in my head – thank you for inspiring me (and lots of others I’m sure!).
I would be honored to receive this special fabric. I have a ton of your fabric and kits, taken 2 of your classes and this would be the icing on the cake to receive! Plus, my home is very eclectic with antiques, and one of a kind creations. What a “perfect home” it would be for one of your one of a kind fabric collections that I would make into a special quilt to display with my other cherished positions.
Thank you for considering me for the honor! Happy New Year!!
Love all of your Fabrics! I do have a few of them and would love to add to that collection.
Your recipe sounds wonderful. Gonna have to try that one!
Happy New Year!

Wow! What an thrill it would be to win this fabric. This year I have a plan to do 12 small quilts for my dining room walls after I paint it a I have already just about narrowed it down to snowflake gardens for January. This fabric would help out to complete this (I know you are saying why should I give her the fabric when she is going to buy it anyway) Just know, this would help me out and I would be thrilled. When I took a workshop from you when you came to Cincinnati in August I did win one of those mini charms that night when you visited our quilt guild. I was so excited. You would have thought I won gold. Here is one more thing I want to ask of you – I have asked numerous times and leave everyone stumped. YOu passed around a scissor keeper made of wool for the 5 in. Dovo scissors. I hollered out to you where do I get that pattern and you hollered back in my next book. Your next book has come out and it is not in there. I got a gift of the 3 1/2 in. scissors for Christmas and a gift card and I plan to use it for the 5 inch dovos. Can you help me out there. So if I can find where to purchase the pattern for that scissor keeper I will consider myself a winner. And yes, I do miss your blogs. Would love to read one every day but do understand. I don’t have a smart phone and we do not do facebook in our home so hope you can keep your blog going.
Lisa, just when I think “wow how can Lisa be more generous” you post this. I’ve been following you on Instagram for awhile but I haven’t really figured it out completely. I’ve got a little bit from both SG1 and SG2 because I love snowmen and I’ve been wondering what to make with them now I know a “snowball” quilt! I would love to add some of the ones from the original run to my collection. Also, thank you for the casserole it actually looks like something I can accomplish… Sending you hugs and I’ll see you at Road to CA… Liz
I have been getting different pieces from both snowman 1 and 2 taking longer because most quilt shops do not carry complete line of any collection would love to have yours!
I should win the fabric because I can’t wait to make a snowball quilt with the snowman gathering fabrics I already have along with these special fabrics you’re gifting away. 🙂 Really, thanks for the chance to win. I love all your stuff and use it all the time. Happy New Year!
