Do you own any homespun? ย Do you use in with only other homespuns or do you mix it with prints…or have you ever made chenille back when homespuns were super popular???
Silly gir! Asking if I own any homespuns! I have two full book shelves of homespuns plus a storage container full of fat quarter homespuns. Youโre not talking to a rookie! I love homespuns!! These beauties all look great; wish I could buy them all. Thanks for the opportunity! Merry Christmas to you all!
Have a chenille cutter but never have used it. Here is my chance with this great pattern. Have some homespuns and have mixed them with other cottons. Hope to win this as does everyone commenting, lol.
Love all these projects. I have a little bit of homespun in my stash and have used it in table runners in the past and have mixed it with other prints. I have never been a huge fan of chenille, but your pillows have me thinking:) Perhaps because you need a special cutter and it looks complicated and messy to work with. Maybe 2018 is the year to try new things!
WOW how cute are these little pillows and “signs” I have a homespun pillow that was gifted to me years ago from a very dear “quilty” friend. Your chenille pillows are very cute, never tried this but it sure looks interesting!
I have a lot of homespuns as I ๐ them. Iโve used them as background for wool appliquรฉ and they look great. Never done chenille but think I would love to try one of those pillows. Primitive Gatherings you are the best!๐๐
So funny, chenille is making a full circle! My mother made me a chenille vest using this method, loved it! Still have all the necessary tools, so glad you are bringing it back again! I love homespun, a favorite for applique on many different fabrics, especially denim.
One Christmas I made several chenille scarves from flannel for Christmas gifts. I still have mine. I love the pillows and am already thinking next Christmas.
Have used lots of homespuns, love mixing with regular fabric!! Love making chenille blankets!! Never made into pillows, that would be fun!! Thanks for chance to win!
I have a whole shelf of homespun. I mostly use it to back wool projects, but also mix it in with other cottons. I never got around to making chenille, so I’ll have to try that this time around.
I haven’t made a chenille project and I don’t have any homespuns in my fabric collection but I have a set of potholders with one side chenille given to me by a friend. The pillows with the initial certainly caught my eye and would be a great first chenille project, I believe. Thank you for a chance in the giveaway.
Still have my chenille vest I made sooo many years ago. I know it does not fit me anymore, but cannot stand to get rid of it. And all those homespuns from years ago. Still have those too. Now I need to order more of Lisa’s new ones. Yikes. I am insane. Luv to win more homespuns.
Yes I do have some homespun fabrics. I use them in craft projects like for snowmen scarves or raggedy doll dresses or scarecrow shirts. It is hard to find good quality homespuns. I have never tried making chenille but I like the look of it. I’ll be waiting for your video because it looks like something I would like to try.
I love homespuns and I do have them in my stash. I have to drive 2 hours to a quilt shop that has a great selection of them. The closer quilt shops don’t seem to want to have them in stock. I’m couldn’t wait for you to offer those patterns when I saw them on your blog. Thanks for offering them early.
I love homespuns and wish they were more popular….at least where I live homespuns are hard to come by. I do have them and I seem to only mix them with tonal fabrics. On the chenille question….I have made a rug for my bathroom but it wasn’t out of homespuns. I was suprised how easy it was to making your own chenille fabric!
Love homespuns. Made some small quilts with them waaaay back when but still have a stash. Made a baby quilt 15years ago with flannels – so heavy and so warm. Waiting for your new homespun line to come out.
I’ve never done any chenille but it looks like fun! I have sewed with a lot of homespuns – sometimes using them by them selves and sometimes with other fabrics. I still have quite a bit of homespun stash – I might need some new ones to liven them up!!
I have always been fond of homespun and have some fat quarters in my stash from years ago. I used it with prints for a real vintage look–or so I think. There seemed to have been a downturn in its availability in recent years. So glad you are bringing it back. I have not made a flannel project–think it would be fun!
I don’t have as many homespuns as I used to, made most of them into rag quilts. I see you and Kim Diehl are both using them again! I have not done chenille but love the pillows.
I have some beautiful homespuns Iโm โsavingโ!! A few years back, I made chenille out of gauze yardage with a patterned flannel background. It turned out perfectly!
I do have homespun, from way back. I was never so happy to see them for sale again. I have been a prim quilter for along time now. My absolute favorite quilts and fabric, WOOHOO, for homespuns!!
I have some homespun and am making two wallhangings right now for Christmas presents. I am using checks and stripes for my background fabric and wool for the appliques. So pretty! Your new patterns and bundles are so beautiful. I would love to try them. Thanks for a chance to win.
I absolutely love them! I recently made a throw sized quilt using only homespuns and can’t wait to quilt it and snuggle up in it. I’ve also mixed some homespuns in with my cotton fabrics and I love look and texture. Thanks for the chance to win some goodies ๐ Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.
Whatโs once was is back again. Remembering chenille bedspreads. Tracing the patterns with my finger. The initial pillows look interesting. Iโve used homespuns with crafts but not in a big project. Sometimes just looking at fabric is satisfying.
I have a few homespuns. I missed the boat when people were making chenille projects in the past. I’d like to give it a try this time around. Love the colors used.
YES!! I love homespuns and I am so excited that you have brought them back!! Sometimes I make a project with just homespuns, but I usually mix them together…..I love the look!! I have never made a chenille project, but think your “small” projects are perfect to give it a try!!
I have a chenille cutter, but have never used it. These pillows are so cute and would make great presents. I just started โcollectingโ homespun material for my primitive projects. I am hooked!
I have started to collect homespuns in a separate container from my other stash and hope to make a Homespun quilt soon. I have not made a chenille project but these are my new favorite item. I love the chenille pillows and look forward to your tutorial .
I do have homespuns from when they were popular but have not made any chenille projects. I love these pillows and want to make one for each of may daughter’s in law. Looking forward to your tutorial!!! Love the other projects in these patterns too!
Those chenille pillows look beautiful! I have a friend that made some pillows and showed me how but I havenโt yet tried it myself. I have not worked with Homespun yet but would love to try.
I have very little homespun….not sure about it. I like the look on it for other people’s projects, but when it comes to mine, I hesitate to use it. I even own a few pieces, but when I look for it, I can’t remember what special place it is in. I think it is on purpose I don’t remember.
I love homespun but only have a few pieces. I’ve mixed it in with other fabrics in a quilt. Nope didn’t do chenille back when it was first popular…would love to try it now.
Yes, I have Homespuns from many years ago, when they were all the rage. Back then, neutral Homespuns were few and far between. I still love them, incorporate them in scrap quilts. I will be collecting all the neutrals this time around. They are beautiful.
I have never made chenille.
Hi, It must be me, even tho I order stuff online every week. Under the first picture of Needful things, you state there are 2 fabric bundles put together in neutral Homespuns. When I want to order, only 1 shows up without a choice? I would like 2 order both, different neutral bundles of 8, fat quarters. Also, I tried to order the Special, of needles the other day. When I went to my cart, it asked for a choice of needles. The special was not one of them. I understood it to be 4 packs of different hand needles for 20.00? I could not order. Did you have a lot of people ordering them? I just couldn’t. I still would love to place an order with you. Frustrated, Linda

Yes Iโve sewn with homespun and mixed it with other prints. I have left overs Iโm sure. Your new line is lovely with great potential never made chenille though.
Merry Christmas ๐
Yes, I do own some homespun…not near enough though. I need to remedy that. I am happy to mix homespun with other fabrics…it coordinated so well. I did some chenille around three years ago. But it was very basic…this monogramming idea looks fabulous!
I โค๏ธ Homespuns! I have three shelves with stacks of pieces greater than 3 yards, and numerous wire bins with my fat quarters. I made many “chenille” pieces years ago and love the way they look and feel. Also use my homespun with prints and solids too.
Yes I have homespun fabrics in my stash. I am a fan of plaids so the homespuns give me lots of great options. I have not made anything with the chenille technique, but I have a winter scarf that a really great friend made for me.
Yes I have made chenille from osnaberg fabric to make some really cute snowmen that I gave to my girlfriend at Christmas a few years ago. I would love to win this bundle to make chenille again.
I have made a chenille project but not with homespuns. They look great. Can’t wait for you video! Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with more time for sewing.
I have used homespun from when I made several seasonal door hangings by Pam Puyleart a few years ago. I always have one hanging and I think they are timeless! Never made chenille but love those little home pillows! Yeah, something new to try! (I also love to stay home)!
I’m a homespun and plaid girl at heart! I still have some in my stash and I’ve used them for kitchen towel trims, hot pads and table runners to rag quilts. But somehow I’ve never tried chenille. Your patterns are outstanding as always! Thanks for the chance to win … and Happy Holidays!
Homespuns are not something in my stash. I have purchased a piece in the past and made a chenille scarf. I used electric scissors to cut the rows instead of a designated cutter. The heart pillow is so cute. That is something I would love to make. Can’t wait to see your video because I know you will have some good tips for making these items.
I have long loved homespuns and recently mentioned to my friend that I needed a few more to start a string quilt. She is downsizing so she gifted me all her homespuns. The string quilt is completed and I have lots of homespuns left over that will be spruced up with new additions. I’m glad there are a few of you designers that share my love.
I love homespun fabric, plus love the whole look of a quilt made with them.
I have used homespun fabrics as accent in appliques quilts and stuffed gingerbread people.
