I have been working on lots of deadlines lately and I am pretty happy with where I am so it was time for some fun with the Grand babies! I called Lauren and asked her if she wanted a day to herself (since Jake was at Pigeon Forge Quilt Show) and I would take the boys… well… Jace informed her, he didn’t think Owie coming to MiMi’s was a good idea…lol – Lauren agreed he needed some alone time away…
It was time to make something off my Grandma Stuff- Pinterest board! Click and like/follow and pin from mine! Even if you are not a Grandmother you never know.. .well maybe some of you know, but you can adopt some Grand babies if you will not be a blood Grandma!
How to Make Shamrock Slime:
We decided last time we were together that the next time we were going to make slime Click …Here for the recipe I used and for the most part it turned out great…It came from Amy, from As The Bunny Hops’s blog.
Papa went and picked Jace up and as soon as he arrived he wanted to go shopping for our supplies… We picked up the shamrock slime ingredients:
Jace was very sure about what color glitter he liked and didn’t like for his shamrock slime…
and in no time we were in business…. we made 6 batches of shamrock slime in all…
He had some to take home and then left some here when he comes back… Papa took our picture so we have a remembrance photo…
So here are a few tips I can give you…
Tips for Making Shamrock Slime:
It was pretty easy…
I would clean each bowl after each use… I didn’t and the first batch turned out the best… so I would have a clean bowl to start each batch.
Be prepared to have glitter everywhere even though you think you can control it…
Wear an apron or old T-shirts… the glue washes out, but I found some on my jeans the next day and when sorting the wash I noticed I got a lot on my T-shirt…
Save some plastic containers to put the finished shamrock slime in… Small clear plastic ones like you get from the deli would be great…
He is such a ham….
Next time I am going to get the…glitter glue
After Slime time… it was Lego time…. Jace just recently returned home from a week in Arizona visiting his Nana & Grumpy…. so I bought him an airport lego… which he easily put together without any help…
Then we had to go upstairs and organize ALL his Legos by color…”we” is actually me. While he was building a whole airport (he has another bigger plane), he informed me the small airplane goes to Chicago and the big airplane goes to Arizona over the mountains! LOL!!!… too smart…I was 19 before I got my first plane ride!
I hope you enjoyed hanging out with Jace and I… I know some of you will never get to do Grandma/Grandpa stuff like this…s o that is why I am sharing my time with him with you!
All for now… back to stitching…
xxx Lisa
