HERE ARE SOME QUICK TIPS:
STARCH first off! Most Important…If you need to learn about starching go HERE for STARCH VIDEO
I like to cut my pieces to size unless they are HSTs or Square in a Square units…for this Moda Block Heads-Block 20 pattern the directions are written for flying geese with the sew and flip corner method…Not my favorite, so here are my cutting measurements for my 4″ block. I also am using Triangle Paper to make perfect 1″ HSTs
Here is a video/post on how the Triangle Papers work.

And sometimes when you get to this point you need to adjust a little….
This looks better with a more contrasting center….
Here is an idea of what I’m working on for a layout…Just playing so far…but liking how it is turning out…the setting directions will be offered later this summer…
I am “in love” with my stack of 20 blocks…Moda Block Heads are so much FUN!

Bonjour, j’apprécie toujours vos ouvrages les coloris sont superbes ainsi que la forme des blocs. Par contre juste une petite remarque je trouve que l’assemblage des vos morceaux de tissu ne sont pas bien faites. Désolée.
Bonne continuation.
Patricia
Love this block. The fabrics are gorgeous.
Love your block for this week…but can’t imagine doing a 4-inch block! Will stick with the 8-inch and hope for the best! Thank you for a lovely block!
I love your pretty block it has everything in it …hsts, flying geese, a star … it’s just perfect for me thank you!
Lovely!
And thank-you for the link to the Village Quilt pattern.
Love your block. I noticed your pad to
lay out your blocks. I liked it so much, I made one for myself before I even started making my block. What a great idea. It is hard to keep such little pieces where you want them while sewing but this solves my problem! Thanks.
Hi Lisa,
I would love to know what computer quilt designing program you use, especially for your layout design and block design is helpful too. are they the same program? Wynona from Mansfield, Texas
In your ‘starching fabric’ video the fabrics look like pieces of wool. Do you starch wool as well as cotton fabrics? I’ve never starched my fabrics. Want to try stitching. Thanks.
HI, Lisa, Your block is really beautiful! I went to click and read the triangle paper post, it brings me to a Word Press screen that asks if I would like to create a site. I think the link is not working or is there something wrong with my computer? Thanks for all you do for us! Linda from Fitchburg, MA.
Love your setting!
Could I get black 21 again. My email was trashed from you. Thank you
