My life stitching life sure has changed with the addition of wool appliquรฉ!! So to keep with the Needful Things being fabric…we are adding wool to our fabric needful list.
Today we are offering ALL our wool bundles and scrap bags, charm packs and pre cut wool pennies. (circles) Since we dye our wool in house we are able to offer these at 25% off!
Our wool bundles come in three sizes…see descriptions on website for more details.
We have tons of charms square packs…
assorted… or in color families..
and our scrap bags are always a big success at shows!
I love it all but my favorite is the hydrangea wool mat. It lives at my Mom’s house and reminds me of my favorite flowers that I would love to grow but won’t work climate wise.
I took a “Stitching Society” class a couple of years ago and fell in love with wool stitching/appliqueing. I recently completed a quilt top with wool-appliqued angels upon which I embroidered the names and birthdates of my children and grandchildren. Love, love, love the colors and textures!
Hi, Lisa! My favorite wool project is Live a Thankful Life although I haven’t started mine yet. It is on my list of “when I retire.” As always, love you and your creations!
I haven’t completed any wool projects so am excited to learn all the techniques. Would start with something small but you have such great patterns I would have to see what colors would match the project. I am a matchy person rather than scrappy. Thanks for opportunity!
I love all things wool!. I’m just finishing up 24 wool Christmas Ornaments that I give to family and friends for the holidays. Thank you Lisa for all you do. I’m also working on the Life a Thankful Life BOM, so fun and beautiful.
Hello Lisa,
I decided to learn something new during Covid and picked up Live a thankful life wool project. Itโs addictive
Have always bought your fabric lines, this is a first for wool, will not be the last!!!
Danae Moore
My favorite wool project has been my largest project to date. LATL SBOW!!! I have loved working on this quilt.
Not only to practice and improve my sewing skills but to help pass the time. So thankful for you and all your crew! Wishing you all a wonderful holiday!
Going to be working on The Santa The tree The turkey and Me soon. This will be my first project with wool. I have been reading thru the wool needle and thread book I purchased from PG. Wish me luck!!!!
Potted Geranium Pillow and Home Grown I finished up earlier this year. I love to add touches of wools to many project’s. Quilts and Pincushions. Love going thru your wools at quilt shows.
Iโve loved and worked with wool for years – there is nothing quite like it – thank you for keeping our fingers busy with all of your creative wool designs!
While I don’t have the pattern and have not made it, I’m in love in Primitive Garden. Two more of my loves that I actually own and am working on are Live A Thankful Life and Words to Live By. I have a Santa pattern that I have owned for years and never done. Was always going to do it in cotton, but it has recently dawned on me that it would be beautiful in wool applique so that is what I would use the wool for.
I love winter scenes and Santa’s in wool and try some projects with those themes. I also do a lot in machine embroidery, have use wool as an applique and would like to incorporate more that way as well.
my favorite wool project is the Twilight Garden and a wool quilt from a few years ago that was the months and spools of thread. I don’t recall the name.
I would love to start stitching with wool! If I won Iโd love to make a tablerunner or a pillow. Start slow and then one day would love to make your Twilight Garden. ๐
I learned to quilt in 2000 and loved it. It wasnโt until 2014 I fell in love with wool appliquรฉing. Now I combine the two and that keeps me busy in retirement! Just canโt ever have enough wool!!
I am just stepping into the wool waters. I have been rug hooking, appliqueing, penny rugs, and now I, starting pin keeps, and crazy quilting projects. I have trouble focusing on any one in particular. I mainly get my wool from thrift stores, so my color options are limited. I would love to have more variety to play with! If I donโt quit reading your blog I will soon be wanting to quilt too!
I haven’t made anything with wool yet. However – I did purchase a used pattern at a local pre-covid quilting guild sale – ‘Primitive Gatherings * Folk Art Album’. Perhaps there would be enough supply to make a couple of blocks as a stepping stone to the land of wool!!
I love all the geranium stitcheries, I signed up for Twilight Garden and The Santa and Me BOM this next year…..I will make some
projects with my wool bundle if I win!
I have thoroughly enjoyed your projects. I am so grateful to Donna @ Brynwood for introducing me to wool through a blog post long ago where she visited your shop and talked about her project and love for wool.
The best ever project has been the Home with the state. I have done one for each of my children away from home and need to make a few more for those closest to us as they want one. Soon, in a few years I will be stitching for each of the grands as they become adults and venture away.
For those that have received one, it has become the first item that is noticed when friends are over and they are proudly able to talk about home.
I am a veteran. I was born to the military, served and married a military member. Spent many years away from family and home. Its always a happy moment when you are away from home and you can look up and see such a simple symbol of love and have a happy a heart.
Thanks for all your designs but especially that one. My children are all in service professions vital to the operations of our country. Thanks for helping me to bring a smile to their hearts far away from home.
I first would drool, pet a little well maybe alot but then I would figure out what project would best suited to what has been gifted.
I want to make my husband a little pillow with a simple saying that he will fit in his hand while he’s receiving treatments. He’s quite sick and feels alone even though I am with him, I think holding a little pillow would help him to stay connected.
This is the sweetest thing! I am going to make one and send it to my dad. Thank you!

Twilight Garden is my favorite wool applique of all time – it is drop dead gorgeous! I have a long way to go before it is finished, but I’m sure it will be the best quilt I ever make (unless you top yourself in the future – but you set a VERY high bar)!
My favorite wool project is table runners – (Although I have been on a pin cushion kick!) most specifically all Maggie Bonanomi patterns!! Love them.
I also just made a cotton and wool quilt sewing different wool trees in the cotton squares. It came out so great! Now for the borders. ๐
My favorite wool project is Heirloom Rose! You have converted a person who never thought they could appliquรฉ your one obsessed with wool appliquรฉ!! Thank you!!
My favorite wool project is Everlasting..love the bright colors. Also love your word pillows. If I won
I would share wool among my small wool applique group. There are 8 of us and we have been meeting every month for the last 6 years. Thank you for all the lovely things you do for us. So glad I found you this year,
I love all your wool projects and have many kits ready to go, but I really want to do Welcome to the North Pole in wool appliquรฉ. I am accumulating enough wool in brights to bring that too pass. I no longer have any desire to do regular needle turn!
My favorite wool project so far has been the Live a Thankful Life block of the week. I have completed all of the blocks. Still working on the sashings. Set it aside to start working on Christmas projects and presents. Will pick back up after the new year. Also very much enjoy the projects in the Wool subscription boxes!
I am just getting into the โwool thingโ! Swore I had enough to do without taking on a new hobby. Because of all the wonder wool projects you have introduced, I finally bit the bullet. Donโt have a stash yet, but with all the new Christmas projects in 2020, I will have many more Christmas 2021 projects to show.
There are so many to choose from and I love so many of them. I have the Luna Mat, Like Father Like Sone, Holly & Ivy, Stand Alone and Heirloom Rose all waiting to be finished or started. You are so creative and your staff is wonderful. I can’t wait to come to your new store and retreat house. I’m not sure what I would do with the bundle if i won it, but I’m sure I’ll have lots of ideas. Your wool is so lovely.
I haven’t begun my wool applique adventure, though I have been building my wool workshop (aka stash). I want to make Christmas ornaments for 2021 (my rotator cuff waylaid my production in the last part of 2020). I have a nice collection of threads and other trims to make them all the more special.
My favorite wool project has been the Heirloom Rose quilt which my mother (Flo Miller) gave me as a gift–and she also gifted me with my love of stitching. I know she loved Primitive! And I do too!
I really love doing the smaller wool projects and have done one small quilt with wool applique. I am trying to collect the cream colored wools to do the Heirloom Rose quilt. Just gorgeous and can’t wait to start!!
I have really enjoyed the many wool projects you have designed . And the wool boxes. And the wools. I think so far my favorite has been the Luna table mat!
Still working on my Heirloom wool scrappy and Twilight Garden. I learned so many new stitches doing the flowers on the Heirloom wool scrappy, Twilight Garden is sure to be a Heirloom piece for generations to come.
Your book Wool Needle and Thread is a must buy for any wool enthusiast. Thank you for all your fantastic patterns.
Oh dear where do I begin when it comes to your wool projects! I loved working up your Christmas Time table mat and get so many compliments on it! I joined the Wool Box group and have so many โto dosโ to do! I really love working with wool, itโs very forgiving and stitches up so beautifully. Plus, your hand dyes are the best quality Iโve worked with! Keep up the awesome designs and good luck with your new endeavor! Merry Christmas to you and your wonderful staff!
My favorite so far has been the Christmas mat. I’m not a big decorator and I only did it because my friend said we were doing it together and gave me a kit for Christmas last year. The more I worked on it the more I liked it. Now I’d really like to do the big tree skirt.
I love working with wool and if I won I might use it to help me finish up the ornaments I will be making for each of my wool group friends for December 2021
So I have yet to stitch with wool but there are several applique quilts that I would like to do which use wool. So this would be a good start for me with the bundle. I also like penny rugs but have never made one, so that is also in my bucket list.
Seaside Garden is in progress, waiting for wool for Moon Garden & have a larger version of your penny flag (mounted on canvas- eventually) in progress!!
I love the look and feel of wool .I like making ornaments and table mats and I like the primitive look. One of my first projects was one of your crazy mats that was done in a class. My mother looked at the pattern and said “you’ll never finish that!” I did finish it and it is one of my favorites!
I finally purchased your wool book and have learned much from it. Reason being, I have your Home for the Holidays pattern and canโt wait to make this quilt with wool. I have made other smallish wool projects, but never really had any lessons on wool stitching, so did not want to mess up an entire quilt that is so beautiful. You have the best wool and patterns!
I have made tons of wool appliquรฉ projects! I am going to use the gift to work on the Christmas tree skirt pattern from PG. my daughter wanted a purple background so Iโll be using different colors for the appliquรฉ!
I loved Moon Garden, almost finished with it. Now I’m doing Everlasting, it might be my fav. But, I adore the pillows and have made several, especially the Halloween ones.
Looking forward to more pillows in the coming year. Ohhhh, and banners!
Wool applique is my favorite by far! Sunflowers Gatherings has been my top favorite, but have loved so many other of PG kits and patterns, the latest being Everlasting from the Wool Box.
If I were lucky enough to win, I would share with our stitching group. We are making an ornament a month. I have loved the ornaments from the wool boxes!๐
my favorite wool project to date is probably the bunny rabbit pillows! Yes, I’m a beginner, but have fallen in love with creating in wool. I’ve always been allergic to it so it’s a miracle I guess!
I have yet to do a wool project but would love to do something about the size of a lap quilt, or maybe a BOM would be more manageable, or a candle mat…jeez, anywhere would be a good place to start.
Primitive garden is my favorite. If I won I would do a Christmas wall hanging that I have had the pattern for a lot of years. It was to be done in cotton, but I would like to do it in wool. Love your stuff. Thank you
It is hard to pick only one favorite……But, I dearly loved doing the Heirloom Rose summer block of the week. I was at a point of really wanting to learn new stitches and you provided everything I needed to do that. Thank you!
Iโve done a bit of wool stitching until Covid19 hit. Then I happened upon Sue Spargoโs SAL, Toned Down Circle Sampler. I finished and completed that project so now Iโm REALLY into wool stitching/appliquรฉ. So now Iโm ready to do all the fun less intense projects Iโve collected over the years from PG. ๐
I love the diversity I can get when using wools with my quilting projects. My favorite project was a table round for Christmas. It has poinsettias on it and I believe it was a Primitive gatherings pattern. It adds a different dimension. If I would win, I am looking at making another wall quilt with wool as the applique.
You turned me on to wool appliquรฉ, I love it. I have made many of your patterns and are making your ornaments right now. Just signed up for the wool box!
I love your wools! You have colors/shades others donโt have!
I want to have snowflakes on trees and wood love to have winter white wool circles…your two smallest sizes. I donโt see them listed. Do you know when you might have them? And thank you Lisa!
Love wool applique. Have purchased and completed many of your patterns that I bought at the Madison Quilt Show. Have more I want to do and you can never have enough wool (colors). Would love to my stash. Love Love your patterns and the Wool, Needle And Thread Guide has been most helpful. I learned the basics of embroidery as child beside my Grandmother. The book has expanded my skills. Keep all your wonderful creativity coming.
My favorite wool project was the primitive banners. i love changing it with the seasons. i love all the wool projects I’ve had made and will continue to as it has become my favorite hobby.
Hi Lisa & Nick! I just got your wool book and had tried some wool appliquรฉ previously with not much success, so now that I have the book Iโm in want /need of beautiful wool to try some of your techniques to see if I have better outcomes and develop a new love of stitching!! Loving all the cute gnomes and beautiful blooms.
I had been wanting to try wool appliquรฉ for a long time. In 2011 I signed up for Flower Penny Garden SBW and have been addicted to wool ever since. Iโve had many favorites, Evelynโs Album, Words to Live By and most recently Moon Garden. I donโt have a wool stash but would use these precuts on one of your wonderful patterns.
I, too, am so glad that I started doing wool appliquรฉ! My favorite project has been my Christmas mat – your pattern – which has lots of Christmas motifs on it (can’t remember the name though). I modified it to include representations of our family’s Christmas traditions – Christmas tea at the Hotel del Coronado, Star Wars movies, and more.
Everlasting! Need I say more? Itโs so beautiful, and โpurchasingโ it bit by bit in the wool box (surprise, surprise, what a great way to receive the bulk of the project) made it affordable for sure! It might be one of your best wool projects!
I LOVE wool Appliquรฉ. Sew forgiving and easy to take along. Iโm most proud of my Sunflower Gatherings quilt that I did As a summer block of the week…..๐. Jmh
Lisa, my favorite project is Thankful Life. Im just on block 2 but it reminds if living the simple life on the farm, and how important thar is
Deb Love
favorite wool project–wool crazy quilt. Each year I make a wool Christmas ornament for everyone in the office and I would use the wool for those. Love working with wool!
I loved Moon Garden. I still have to finish the borders. But I also loved Garden Baskets, little baskets similar to Moon Garten and the summer block of the week Happy Home, and Snow Friends and Warm Winter Blessings and now the Summer Block of the Week, Live a Thankful Life, which has turned out to be the Block of the Month for me, but loving the journey.
We have to pick just one! I love them all, it’s all I really want to do. Moon Garden, everlasting and Twilight Garden are in the top. Merry Christmas to all you stichers out there
I canโt say that I have a favorite. Definitely love the wool box projects I have enjoyed stitching things in the summer gatherings book. Also did a mystery wool box from Fig Tree which was great fun
I fell in love with wool applaud about ten years ago and one of my first projects was your table mat “Autumn Glory”. It is still one of my favorite pieces and brings joy each fall when I put it out. Yes, I would use the wool; the only problem would be deciding what to do first!
Sunflower Gatherings and Words to Live By are my favorites!! Wool appliquรฉ is what I do most now. I used to piece a lot of quilts but Iโm getting lazy and like appliquรฉ better!!
I have so loved the Wool Box projects and even committed to learning to quilt to finish my favorite – Everlasting! Love the colors and the message and the wool blocks filled with birds and flowers and homes.
My favorite project has been twilight garden – I loved the contrast with neutral wool and navy flannel. What would I do with a new bundle? Make a new primitive gatherings designed quilt of course!
What a FUN give-away – wool bundles, my favorites! Love the variety of colors and textures in bundles. Sometimes you need just a small piece for an applique area. I have a couple of SBOW to work on yet!! Thank you.
I love working with wool as I watch tv in the evening. Itโs so relaxing and helps me unwind from the day. Warm Winter Blessings is one of my favorites!
Id have to say my favorite wool projects that I’ve done so far are the fleur de france and the neighborhood. If it’s a project I havent done yet it’s definitely Twilight Garden though!
I learned wool appliquรฉ from you at East Cobb Quilters Guild several years ago. I would say my favorite completed project is Sunflower Gatherings or Moon Garden. I’m working Twilight Garden and LATL now.
For this Christmas I made 12 Ugly Sweater ornaments. I made some from kits and some from my own ideas. I put them on a white 4 foot feather tree. I then put the tree on the sofa table my husband made!!!!! My first wool project was a skaters wall hanging from pieces of my dad’s wool pants and jackets. He died April 1989. So I made it that fall with many tears. It’s found on my bed every Christmas.
My favorite project so far all of them! I love my wool quilts! I love doing the Summer Block of the Week. My only complaint is that they make the Summer go by so fast!
Have done a few projects with wool applique. Looking to enlarge my stash so I can do more projects. Thank you for all the info you provide for folks like us. Happy Holidays!!!
Since I used recycled wool for my favorite projects Iโm not sure if itโs acceptable. But here goesโWhen my brother passed away his wife gave me his wool Pendleton shirts and some other wool jackets. I made my sister-in-law and his two sons and his daughter tote bags out of his clothes. He was a saddle maker and I copied his business card onto muslin and stitched one on each bag. I thought of him while doing all this.
It is hard to choose a favorite. I have Large quilts, wall hangings, table mats, and pillows with wool appliquรฉ scattered throughout the house. I feel it gives my house a very warm, homey feel. I quess my most recent favorite was the PG wool box Thankful pillow.
My favorite wool projects to stitch would be candle mats. They go quickly, without having to do a lot of finishing work (like quilts with wool [my second favorite project] where you have to quilt and then bind.)
I love wool applique and my favorite is Twilight Garden, which I’m working on now. I love doing the different stitches and Heirloom Rose is on my wishlist!
I love beautiful wool. Right now I am working on a flannel background with a wool sunflower and bee. It will be cover for an antique picnic basket I have. When finished, it will hold all my cookie cutters. Well, at least most of them
My favorite project in wool has got to be working with your stitching small patterns! I love how I can mount them on a board, a galvanized bucket or just frame them. They make great gifts!
I love wool projects and purchased two sunflower patterns from you recently. I also love the gold wools I purchased and the pastel charms are simply yumminess.
First time trying wool was at your class at Quiltstock. I loved the stocking and it’s hanging for Christmas!! It’s the only project I’ve done but am intrigued by “The Santa, the tree, the turkey and me”. My friend just started it and it looks like fun. I’d dive right in if I got the wool pack!!
I have been finishing my wool mats and smaller projects. I have some quilts started and others planned. I like the variety of wool projects so some are a long haul and some are a quicker finish, but they all finish beautifully…especially from the bi-monthly wool boxes..
I just received your Home for the Holidays pattern. The wool bundle would be an enormous help in diving into this gorgeous project. I also need to catch up on my Everlasting blocks. Some great winter stitching ahead ! Everything about Primitive Gatherings is much loved and appreciated. Happy Holidays ! ๐โ๏ธโ๏ธ๐
I love working on any wool project you have, but my favorites have been A Primitive Garden, and Live a Thankful Life. They are truly works of art. (Along with many of your patterns.)
My very favorite project has been “Live A Thankful Life” but I’ve been having fun with your Christmas Gatherings book this season. Merry Christmas! Thanks for all you do.
I love any projects using wool… penny rugs, ornaments, quilts, pictures of home /countryside scenes, anything hand stitched! Your hand dyed wool โgiftโ would find a good home with me!!!
I love working on the Heirloom Rose, but also like working with smaller projects in the evenings like the pincushions or ornaments. Loving everything wool!!!! Thanks for all your hard work!
It is really hard to pick a favorite project with wool. I am currently trying to finish my Everlasting blocks from the wool box and am grateful that we can stay connected via the boxes, the YouTubeโs and our FB groups for PG projects until such time as we can get together at shows, classes, and retreats.
First you have the very best wool projects so pretty much anything that you design. Wool has quickly become my favorite technique. Start my winter break tomorrow and I can not wait to stitch the break away!
I haven’t done many wool projects yet, am just getting a slow start but, I love everything I have seen. I have been wanting to make a small wall hanging.
My favorite wool project was also my first, your Sunflower Gatherings quilt. I dove right into the deep end and love it!๐ป If I am lucky enough to win I would have to look through your patterns to find the perfect use for the wool.
I love working with wool and your shop and your wonderful creations have definitely changed my quilting and what I hope to accomplish. The use of embroidery has definitely been a delight to me.
I have a quilt pattern by Iowa resident Deanne Eisenman called “Back Porch Garden”, part cotton and part appliqued wool. I’ve been wanting to make it for two or more years now. Winning wool would go towards fulfilling this dream quilt.
I’m just getting into wool. I was introduced to wool through Sue Spargo and did her tree BOM in 2019. It’s lovely to use and I can’t wait to get started on some more.
My Moon Garden is at the quilter now and I told my family they had better fight over that quilt when I die! I am working up the courage to start stitching Twilight Garden. I also really loved doing the flannel log cabin with all the pennies.
My favorite wool appliquรฉ was Snowman Gatherings with the 9 different snowmen, till I did the next appliquรฉ project then that was my favorite. The USA pillow with the hydrangea flowers is currently my favorite. Keep designing and my favorite will change again!
My favorite wool project is the very first one I made: a “calendar” of 12 small wool applique pieces. I had signed up for a class at a local wool shop, and I was the only attendee. The shop owner–now a dear friend of mine–sat patiently with me and taught me how to stitch those lovely wool pieces onto the background. Every time I look at that piece, I remember Kaye and her patient teaching.
I have stitched many PG projects over the years since meeting you Lisa at the vendors show at Kentucky Oaks mall during the AQS Paducah show! My favorite quilt now and forever is Twilight Garden which I just finished in 2020!!!!
It would be difficult to name my favorite wool project; I started quite a few years ago and rarely do much else (housework included ๐ Most pieces are Fall or Christmas related so Iโm starting to concentrate on lightening things up to include more Spring and Summer items. If itโs wool, I love it!
I have only begun one small wool project. If I were to win a large bundle, depending on the colors, I’d do a project for a spring table topper to disperse the winter doldrums. Thank you, Lisa, for so many creative ideas!
Iโm making 6 – 9โ wool stockings (Primitive gath pattern) for my 6 grandkids. Choosing the wool, finding the right shade of valdani thread, getting the stocking stuffers appropriate for each one, has kept me happy (and distracted) during 2020.
Hopefully, these stockings become ornaments on their tree.
Twilight Garden is my all time favorite wool project. Iโm still in the midst of it and love it more and more. Wool projects are my absolute favorite. I think I overdid it a months ago and caused my thumb to be diagnosed with trigger finger. Ugh! Itโs not going to stop me. Thanks for your generosity.
My favorite wool project this far is Twilight Garden. Iโm only halfway through but Iโll never get tired of it. Thank you for your creative mind and artistic talent. We all appreciate it more than you know.
Heirloom rose is what I am working on right now, then onto Twilight Garden. I have so many primitive gathering projects to do. I love the way your kits are packaged up so neatly and in order. Thank you for everything!!
My introduction to wool applique was a “wool bed rug”! The blocks are all done and I am 50% done stitching the blocks and strips together. I have completed numerous smaller projects since starting that, and I am hooked!
Heirloom Rose – Urban is my absolute favorite…..right now. Love wool applique and your wool is so nice. I know when I buy one of your kits the wool will be beautiful! Thanks for the chance to win!
This past summerโs wool block of the week, Live a Thankful Life, was my favorite! It sure was nice working on this project this year since we were spending so much time at home! It is so pretty! I canโt wait to get it quilted!
I am working on your SMOW from 2015 “Somewhere in time” and it is gorgeous! If I win a bundle, I want to make a diamond -shaped penny rug. I hope I win!!
I love your geranium basket, looking forward to finishing my moon garden quilt. I have a lot of Wool patterns to do, I would love to receive a bundle to use.
I’ve made many of the ornaments, and penny mats. I made the larger geranium baskets mat for a silent auction donation which was well received and sold quickly for the organization.
Thank you again for the chance to win!
I am very new to wool. I have made your 3 pumpkins and the 3 snowmen kits. I did make an order and got the free patterns too so am looking to do more and more. = ) ADDICTED! I love fall and winter so bundles in those colors are great!
My favorite wool project was the freebie with one of your SBOW that was the houses and trees. I love the variety of house styles and the colors and the finishing.
I love every wool project I have done so far. My favorite at this point is a wool patchwork quilt with wool heart appliquรฉs. It keeps me warm on cold nights.
I love the free summer or winter or holiday weekly block given by various shops. I like pulling my own wool for each one. I use their block as a guide but my colors may be very different. If I won the wool giveaway I would finish the previous crazy quilt
My first wool project was Fig Tree and Co wool BOM. I loved stitching it and gifted it to my mom for mothers day! Since then I’ve made some Christmas ornaments and would love to make some of your beautiful wool mats, its on my list for 2021. The hard part is deciding on one of your fabulous designs. They are all beautiful, I’m sure once I get started I will want to make several!
Thank you Lisa for all your designs you have created! Happy holidays!!!!
My favorite completed project so far has been Heritage Rose – I really enjoyed all of the different embroidery stitches on it. My favorite in process is Twilight Garden.
I sent everyone a “homemade” gift this year since all shopping was online. A snowman mat, 2 poinsettia mats (I kept the small one) , a reindeer mat and a Happy Holiday’s mat. Just ordered more wool since I don’t have a feel for how long I will be listening to books and sewing wool projects during the pandemic! Great hobby I love it!
Due to Covid I decided to do PGs SBOW this year. Iโm totally hooked. Iโm slow but getting there. Love learning all the new stitching techniques. If I win I would do a table mat. Havenโt done one of those yet
I recently started doing wool applique after seeing so many of the fun projects in the Stitch FB group. You are quite the inspiration to many! I have my eye on the Merry Christmas Wallhanging for my next project. Thanks for all that you and your staff do!
1st. time I saw wool appliquรฉ at your booth during a quilt show many years ago, I loved it! Didnโt know how to do any of it, but your wonderful staff gave me a crash course & told me to call the store anytime. Itโs therapeutic! Love all kits with flowers, barn w/animals, fall pumpkins on & on. So fun! Plus traveling with projects is a plus!
My first wool project has actually been the free summer flowers with the SBOW. I am also still working on Live A Thankful Life. I want extra wool so I can make the projects my own by adding more pumpkins, changing some colors and maybe adding other additional touches.
I took your Pumpkin Tablemat class at Quilt Odyssey in Hershey many years ago, I love how you “taught” the entire class, not a minute was wasted. I really missed your booth at the Pennsylvania shows this COVID year. Wool projects and quilts have become a favorite of mine. I’ve accumulated a nice stash of your patterns, chenille needles, needle threader, books, and, of course your wools. Thank you for a chance to win!
The off white beiges look great. A match got anywhere you need to add a color to. I love the quilt hanging with the roses of natural beige. That I donโt have. Thanks. Diane
I got introduced to wool appliquรฉ after walking into your booth at a quilt show about 8 years ago. I bought a few small projects and fell in love. My favorite project to date is Words to Live By. Thank you for all your beautiful patterns.
My current favorite wool project is one I am currently working on. One of your patterns I bought the kit for ‘Warm Winter Blessings’ a few years ago and am finally working on it now. I love it. Its the perfect cold winter weather now in MN to be stitching on the snowmen for the quilt. I would love to win some of your lovely wool for making more projects.
I have made some projects with birds, but would love to try some new patterns. My one friend makes wonderful table runners that are just stunning. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway.
My favorite wool projects are table runners for different seasons. I am light on snowmen for January when all the Christmas decorations come down, that is what I would use the wool bundle for. Love working with your wool, the quality is very good.
It is hard to pick a favorite wool project, they are all nice & it is so relaxing. I think right now I am liking all the Christmas patterns/kits. Next I will move on to spring. I enjoy doing them & giving as gifts. Thanks for all your neat designs
I haven’t worked on any of your wool projects although I have your Reindeer Games table mat kit and the kit for Peace Love Joy pillow. Was that from last year’s 12 Days? I think so. I have worked with wool before and love it. In the past I’ve ordered your dyed wool and it is luscious!!!!
I have just completed the โall hearts come home for Christmasโ table mat – my 2nd project using wool.
I would love todo the wool tree skirt I saw on your home tour this past week.
Last Christmas I gave my three daughter-in-laws a wool tablerunner. They were such fun to make. Have made many of your projects and am now working on your โSummer Bloomsโ wall hanging. Love it..
My favorite wool project are the ones that I am currently working on, Twilight Garden, Moon Garden, Heirloom Rose and Live a Thankful Life. Sunflower Gardens is my favorite finished quilt.
I love working with wool and especially love anything that comes in my Primitive Gatherings Woolbox!!! I can’t get enough of wool, It is fun to work with and so forgiving! I can’t wait to start on the PM Star Penny Mat, pennies is what started me on my wool journey! Love them! And Thank You for doing your how to videos on working with wool, they are so helpful!
Love all your wools, I am new at stitching so I really do not have a favorite yet. If i would win a wool pack I would find a pattern at your store to make!
I love all of the beautiful wools you carry. I’ve been enjoying making wool ornaments this year. I think I have finally mastered the blanket stitch working on the beautiful flowers in Heirloom Rose. Lisa – having your book and watching your video tutorials has been so helpful. I can now confidently finish a wool project and am so pleased with the results! Thank you!
I love working on your patterns in wool. They are fun projects that I love to make for family, friends and myself. I enjoy sharing my joy of wool appliquรฉ with friends, so I would use some and share.
My favorite project is usually my current one! I did the ornaments last year that was run by Gloria Parsons from Olde Green Cupboard and that was the most fun project Iโve done in a long time!
My favorite wool project is a round mat I bought from you a few years ago with sewing notions on it. Would love to win wool for another project. Love the gorgeous colors you sell.
I’ve not worked with wool before, however there are several quilt patterns by Kim Diehl that call for wool applique that would love to make and your wool colors are so beautiful.
My favorite project right now is Everlasting, because I’m still working on it. I really have too many favorites. I’m looking forward to doing Twilight Garden, though I’ve only gotten as far as purchasing the pattern.
I’m just starting to do applique….it would be nice to have wool on hand to do some projects…so many different combinations to pick from though. I think I would use the wool to make coasters to hand out next Christmas! I love the Geranium Baskets.
After a visit to your shop a few years ago after a Packers game you got me hooked on wool appliquรฉ. I am currently finishing up a small wool Christmas wall hanging. One can never have too much wool or fabric!
My favorite tends to be whatever new project I’m working on at the time. I do have a soft spot for any patriotic patterns as a lot of my family are military members and they love it when I share my handwork with them
My first wool project was Liberty Gatherings. I finished it a couple of months ago & love it. I just bought a couple PG wool kits & Lisa’s stitch book so I can keep stitching & improving my skills with wool.
I once received a kit for a candle mat featuring cats as a birthday gift. I was proud of myself for actually finishing it! I have three other projects I need to complete.
Trying to get some of my Woolbox ornaments done. But running out of time. Keep the great projects coming in the new year. Thank you for everything you do for all of us.
I have made a few wool table mats over the years but I think my favorite wool project has been the Moon Garden sew along! Honestly though, anything made with wool is such a joy.
My favorite wool project is the candle mat with pumpkins around accented with little squash and vines. Iโve made it several times using various shades of oranges and orange plaids. It makes me proud when my family displays theirs each fall. Another fav is a wall hanging with a wool appliquรฉ snowman head surrounded by homespun mini log cabin blocks. I will only make one of these, but I enjoy looking at year round! Sorry I canโt remember the names of the patterns, but I know they are Primitive Gatherings.
I visit your website all of the time and just love everything I see! Iโve been so excited to visit your shop but then the pandemic arrived. I want to start on a smaller table mat and brush up on stitches I havenโt used or mastered !
My favorite wool quilting projects have been table runners and round table mats. I have many of your patterns and kits. Now I am starting to combine wool appliquรฉ with my pieced quilting. You can never have enough wool for projects. Would love to add these to my stash.
Beautiful wool! Last Christmas I used up most of my wool to make Christmas presents for my in-laws, using your patterns of course! Everything was loved and I was so happy that I could make special gifts for those wonderful people in my life. Now I really need to replenish my wools. Your wool bundles would be my best Christmas present ever!!!
I’ve been a wool box subscriber since the very beginning and I absolutely LOVE the projects that have come in the boxes! It’s hard to pick a fav! The spring flower wool mat might be at the top though! If I won a bundle of wool, I would use it to finish some wool mats to fit my vintage oval tray, I think. Happy Christmas to you and the rest of your crew!
My favorite wool piece is the piece Iโm working on at the you ask me! And of course Iโve made many PG wool pieces! Table mats wall hanging, working on my Everlasting at this time and Iโm loving it!! Your classes and patterns have been my favorite from the start of my wool adventure! The patterns are so well done and easy to understand & follow even for beginners! Thank you so much for all you do and for your staff that do a great job!!
Wow, very generous! I’ve only made a few wall hangings, blocks and ornaments. Made oodles of penny ornaments with one of your penny sets. Love your designs especially any of the snowman ones.
So relaxing. By the way, thank you for the Califonia store, so great to be able to see everything in person. Get over often, well before Covid I did.
Hi Lisa. Sure have missed you in CA this year. Last Christmas I made your โFather and Sonโ using a purple plaid Flannel background for myself, but this Christmas I made the traditional red plaid for my daughter, which she picked up today so she could enjoy over the Holidays. She was so happy she just hugged it and then hugged me. Thank you for your creative projects. Iโm looking forward to doing the bunnies for Easter.
I am new to wool stitching- but would love to start with a candle mat size project to start. I lost a dear friend this year that did an absolute beautiful job stitching with wool., she had gifted me with two wool ornaments- I will cherish them forever, so I would love to start with something small. Thanks for the chance to win a bundle. Patty B.
My favorite wool project has been those Christmas tree ornaments made of stacked wool squares. I’ve made so many – I love use one as part of wrapping a gift.
During your Christmas event, I ordered the Old St. Nick Table Mat. I can’t wait for it to arrive so I can get started on it. Thank you for your generosity and all the wonderful inspiration you provide to us!
The Holly & Poinsettia Table Runner, Dashing Through the Snow, Winter Crazy Table Mat…. and all the wool projects made at the retreat house… Good Times!!!
I’ve just started with Wool, making one of the small projects from your book. So satisfying. Love the saturation of the colors, and there’s something about the designs that resonates profoundly with me.
I have used your wools in several of your table runner patterns and look forward to being able to see you at each AQS show and online for all things wool
I am a wool newbie. I am so inspired by your beautiful work. I would quickly get to work making ornaments before jumping into a larger project. Your color choices and patterns are inspiring.
Adore working with wool and there’s so many of your projects that I truly am in love with. I have narrowed it down to 2, which was hard Moonlight Garden and Backyard Gatherings.
Oh, boy, all I need to do is visit your website to find my next favorite wool project! I’m thoroughly enjoying Live a Thankful Life, and can’t wait to start Twilight Garden next month! Love working with wool. Thanks for the opportunity, Lisa!
I’m scared of Wool Applique! (ok, i have admitted it aloud). I have a small wool stash since I once did a BOM wool club from PG, and I have several (ok more than a couple) of pristine kits, but I don’t know how to start. I do hand and machine applique with cotton, but this is different…
I am adding it to my wishlist for the 12th day and I hope to overcome my fear by taking baby steps…
I started working with Wool and it was immediate love! I love anything that comes from Primitive Gatherings! My (unasked for) advice for those afraid to open those lovely, lovely kits. Just do it. Wool is so forgiving that anything you do will be beautiful and practice does make perfect. Do it!! ๐
I have wool pieces and Lisaโs great wool book, although very little experience working with wool. Iโm retiring in 2021 and on the top of my list is to take a class at PG in California to begin my adventure in creating with wool. I canโt wait for the adventure to begin !!!
i am working on the snowman and Joy ornaments that were in the November wool box. So much fun. I would make more Christmas ornaments for my tree and also another candle mat. Your wools are so beautiful and I love working with them!
To pick a favorite wool project….that is hard. I do know I love to bring them out during different seasons. I do stop to look at the Christmas mat each year (the smaller version of the tree skirt)…and I am pretty proud of the SBOW that I have managed to finish. Live a Thankful Life was an incredible project….mine is not finished yet, but it is gorgeous.
I’m just starting into wool after 30 years of needle turn appliquรฉ. It’s a bit of a switch to have the raw edge, but I love all the beautiful projects that keep coming on the market. If I received the bundle, I would start one of the many wool patterns I have been intimidated to begin!
I love stitching with wool! I seem to be better at collecting projects than finishing them but my favorite project so far is my Christmas Baltimore Album done in wool.
It has been quite a number of years since I’ve done wool work. I enjoy hand stitching and embroidery – I find it relaxing. I work full time at an elementary school which doesn’t leave much time for sewing. I have a few pieces of wool in my stash (but would definitely welcome more), and a couple of wool coats to felt for the day I have the time to enjoy sewing again. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
My favorite wool project to date is the Chanel style jacket that I used as a canvas for wool appliquรฉ. The main fabric was a blue and black coarse weave, almost like burlap, and it was perfect for appliquรฉ!
I love everything you do and cannot wait to start another wool project. My favorite one so far is Lisa’s Flower Garden. I have it hanging in my dining room.
Well, I bought the SBOW, Thankful Life, this is my first wool applique project, and I am still working on it. It is going to take me awhile, but it is enjoyable!
I haven’t done a lot with wool, but my favorite project so far a kit I bought of yours with the alphabet in black letters. I get lots of comments on it.
I love working with wool. My favorite projects are anything primitive. Just finished a primitive Santa and I’m ordering your primitive Santa wool mat soon!
I only started stitching and my CURRENT favorite project is the New Beginnings pin cushion that I just got in the mail from your shop! I finally ordered a few things at your Black Friday sale but have been a long-time follower of the blog. Now I will have to follow you on YouTube also!
I would just be head over heels if I won one of the wool sets! I think I would take a long time just petting and daydreaming of all the things I could do! You have so many patterns and ideas that you share/design that I feel like I am a little late to the party!
I would like one of the 5 quilt holders. I live in Los Angeles, and was wondering if the rack will ship out of the store here, or if you will be shipping out of Wisconsin ? About how much will shipping be?
Thanks. Diane
Penny Pinkeep my first wool project. Three quilting/knitting friends and I started the project together. Later that year we all visited the store in California.
Iโm learning โtryingโall the tricks from your wool book. It is amazing for me. Thanks so much for all you do for everyone. Congrats on your new โwork homeโ being built. I have lots of patterns, and lots of projects to get done. We celebrate Chanukah, so hopeing someday you will do things for that holiday.
Have a great holiday, and Happy New Year.
I love appliquรฉ of any kind, but in particular wool appliquรฉ. I canโt really pick out a favorite…… well perhaps your โAutumn โs Gloryโ. I have the kit, but havenโt done it yet. I would love to do a spring a summer version of it in flowers. I have your book and love it! Merry Christmas and happy New Years!
