It’s Wednesday! Moda Block Head Day!
Now don’t fall over…but I have my block(s) done and I am up to date. It is a NEW YEAR, and I think I am ready for it. It takes me a bit to get there. I do not rush into it…as I believe anytime is a good time to start fresh. But, naturally the first of the year is a very normal time to start new things or to finally “get your s&%t together” I know some of my friends/family will laugh at this…because I sometimes have to tell them this. Do not think this is mean, sometimes the ones we love need help and it comes from a place of love and concern for them. We all need to get our stuff in order to live a healthier, less stressful life. The more organized you are the less stress and drama life contains. The point here is to make your plan, and do not let anything de-rail you completely..get back on the track everyday and focus on the destination. Ok…wait I got way off topic here….but more on that another time. Let’s get back to the blocks.
Block 52 -Intersection-is from Moda fabric designer Stacy Iest Hsu. It is a fun and easy block to make…like.. I had this done is 5 min. I know I sometimes make it much harder on you. But we need all kinds of blocks, simple and easy…and hard and more complicated to grow and be challenged, but I know we all love an easy block…especially when we are catching up!
Yes, those are my PJs…must have forgotten to crop this one…lol…
Block 51 -SPARK PLUG-is from Moda fabric designer Vanessa, Lella Boutique. Now, this is pretty challenging at 4″ and especially when you think you do not have to have a seam in the edge rectangles…so I “fudged” this block a bit… I just love this block!, Thanks Vanessa for a very creative block and a challenge! I am currently working on a quilt with Vanessa’s fabric and mine together, can’t wait to show you!!!

Please let me know where I can find pictures of previous blocks that you did. I am behind because my emails seemed to have stopped for a bit. Is there an archive I can go to? Thanks for your help.
My blocks are all posted here on the blog.
Thank you, and HAPPY NEW YEAR! I have been asking a question on the Blockheads Facebook site about a layout that you were working on. It is beautiful and wondering if you had the fabric requirements and measurements. Many of us have been inquiring! We LOVE your design!!! 🙂
I am so glad you love my design…I will post it soon before the blocks are over. Sorry you have to wait.
Oh my goodness! Love those pjs – thanks for the laugh! I needed that this morning.

Love the blocks- especially love that you are so down to earth and cool about your PJs being featured. Stay real!
