Don’t worry, if none of those questions apply to you, just tell us what your favorite flower is and why!
I love! Quiltalongs! I’ve done 50 or 55 in the past 27 years. I try to do 2 a year. My favorite flower is the daffodil. I love these new fabrics and the QAL pattrrn!
Love the new fabric line:) I have participated in about 8 sew-alongs since I started quilting in 1999! BUT….I fell behind in most of them….LOL. The quilts eventually got finished. I am seriously considering doing this one as it’s a king size and would look beautiful on my bed:) As for my favorite flower it’s the LILAC. The fragrance is sweet and brings back wonderful childhood memories. They only bloom in the spring, but are SSSSOOOOO worth waiting for. I’ve planted a lilac tree every place I’ve lived. Thanks.
I do love quilt alongs though I’m usually playing catch up. This quilt is beautiful and I intend to sew along with you. Thank you for the YouTube videos as well, those always help. Would love to win some of the gorgeous fabric. As another commenter said, lilacs are worth waiting for.
Iโve only participated in 1 quilt-a-long. I still work full time and itโs hard for me to keep up. I hope to be able to participate in more once I can retire!
I have never done a quilt along. I worry that I will fall behind. The Garden Gatherings has such a cool look, this may have to be my first QAL attempt!
What a lovely fabric line! I have done about 7 QALs and I really like them. I’m going to participate in this one too!
Now – I have to finish up a few UFOs ๐
I do enjoy a quilt along; it keeps me on task. I have only done one quilt along but would LOVE to do more. And…I think this might just be the quilt!! Oh, and I love sunflowers. thanks and Merry Christmas
I participated in 3 QAL in 2020. The Garden Gatherings QAL is perfect for my new bed quilt. P.S. I love pansies and violas. As a child I knew them as Johnny Jump Ups.
My favorite flower is a buttercup, It is my birthday month flower. And they don’t need much care, they just come back year after year and are beautiful.
QALs are my favorite addiction. I learn so much from the videos and tips from other quilters and I also love a deadline to keep up which happens half the time. Love the new fabric line and my favorite flower is iris.
I have followed a few of your QAL’s but have not actually done one yet. I am very interested in this one, though, mainly because of Val, who taught me to quilt about six years ago & changed my life forever. She is such an amazing teacher, quilt designer & friend. This quilt is even more gorgeous in person. โค
I love the idea of quilt alongs, but I always have trouble keeping up. I keep trying to do them and someday I will actually keep up ๐ This quilt looks beautiful and I am planning to try to make this the one I keep up with!
I love Quilt Alongs! I’ve done 7 of them. My first was Sunflower(my favorite flower btw) Gatherings, then Twilight Garden and Moon Garden at the same time….. phew!!! I’ve done Thankful Life and most recently finished Everlasting from the wool boxes! I’m currently working on Dragonfly Dreams and can’t wait to see how it turns out!!!! I also did another Quilt Along with another designer, but I won’t mention any names lol:)
I tend to like mystery quilts instead of quilt alongs. No real reason. So excited for this fabric line. Nice to have some pretty colors to look forward too after the dull drums of winter.
I have no favorite flower. I love them all. This past year I did 4 large raised beds of all kinds of perennials and bulbs in memory of my mother who passed away last year. Wishing I would have thought of this project when she was alive as she was the one who instilled in me the love of flowers.
Love Meet me in the Garden QAL. Canโt wait to get started next June. Along with Sunflower Gatherings, Live a Thankful Life, I have done 8 BOMs. This hobby brings me so much JOY! Thank you for all you do Lisa and team. ๐
My favorite flower is the iris, followed by the rose and peony. Unfortunately wonโt be doing quilt along, tho have done several lap size quilt alongs. New line looks beautiful, love all the light colored shirtings.
I like quilt alongside and have lost track of how many I have participated in. I joined your Americana quilt along this year and love the quilt. The top is sewn together and on the list for my long arm quilter in 2022. I love what I can see of this quilt but I don’t make anything larger than 72 inches wide so will follow to see if I can easily not put on so many rows on the side and still keep it all balanced with block designs and fabrics. I can usually find a way!!
I have done one quilt along. Iโve โwatchedโ about 5 others. There always seems to be someone needing a quilt gift to take up my time. Iโm REALLY interested in trying the Seedlings quilt. Maybe by spring I could do that for me. โIf onlyโฆ.โ My favorite flower is Sweet William because my William was the sweetest man on earth.
I try to fit in a quilt along, here and there. I have participated in at least 6 of them. They are fantastic to be able to get a large quilt top completed because otherwise I put it off and just make small quilts.
I have started several but only finished one during Covid. Hard to pick my favorite flower as I love so many…….but I love gardenias as they smell so good and remind me of the dances during high school.
Wow do I love that quilt! Just gorgeous! Iโve never done a quilt a long, but with a layout and fabric that pretty and the help from the designer on Zoom, I think Iโm in!
You guys did great! The fabrics are beautiful- the pattern is great too! My favorite flower – Lilly of the Valley – a close second – lilacs. Take care!
Your fabrics are beautiful and I would love to be part of this quilt along. So much can be
learned from quilt along instructors. I have completed tops from 5 quilt alongs, my latest was the Hodges for Heroes with you. You shared so much information and I learned so many techniques. I have a lot of old habits that I have trashed and replaced with your tips. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and time.
I’ve done several quilt-alongs. It’s so much fun to be part of a group all working on the same project. This quilt along is very tempting. I love the design and the fabrics are amazing…..
I have only done a couple of quilt alongside. This one seems too intimidating for me. Lol. But, I would enjoy joining one again.
The fabrics are beautiful!
I love the happy colors. I really loved your previous garden line. I made a Dear Jane quilt using a fat quarter bundle and pre cuts. Looking forward to the arrival, hopefully in the spring and not next fall! I like preorders so I donโt worry about missing something I really want. I am running out of space for my PG fat quarters however. I need to catch up before this comes in!
I haven’t done a quilt along, although I would love to start one. My favorite flower is the Lily because they are so large they demand your attention to their beauty.
Loved todayโs live, day 11 of the 12 Days of Christmas ! The fat quarter bundle reminded me of Christmas candy. I have been a faithful follower since Primitive Gatherings began in the early 2000โs so I have lost track of how many stitch alongs I have participated in but my house looks like All things Lisa Bongean, ๐. I love all flowers so itโs hard to pick just one but Peonyโs smell good and fill a crock beautifully in the summertime. I really enjoyed how the halls of your retreat are adorned with Red and White quilts, they are my all time favorite!!! MERY CHRISTMAS ๐ ๐คถ
Absolutely LOVED the Hogs for Heroes QAL! Iโm a newbie and I am thrilled I will be able to participate in this next adventure. Thank you Primitive Gatherings!
I love quilt alongs, can’t even begin to guess how many I’ve done. My favorite flower is the Texas Bluebonnet. Nothing like driving through the hill country of Texas and seeing miles and miles of bluebonnets growing wild.
I love, love, this collection and already pre-ordered it. The QAL quilt is beautiful! I can’t wait to start it. I’ve only done 4 or 5 QAL but have learned so much from them. Thx for all you do!
I havenโt done a quilt along because I know I wonโt be able to keep up. Iโm not the person who signs up for a class and then comes to class with the quilt already done. Or even half done. Maybe not even fully cut out.
But my garden will give anyoneโs a run for the money and my favorite flowers are purple, it seems. Why do I never use purple in my quilts (nor orange) and yet my lilacs, hydrangeas, lavender (obviously) and all manner of low growers are all purple? Lilacs may be the best, though, ohhh that smell! Heavenly!
I only started quilting a year ago, and started watching the flag quilt along about half way through. I love the tutorials and the chance to ask questions while Lisa was presenting live. I will likely participate in the Garden Gatherings stitch along – what a beautiful quilt and fabric. Thank you for providing these opportunities!
I love this quilt, and would love to win these fabrics! I love quilt alongside, though I tend to sign up for too many and then not finish! I imagine I will have to give in and do this one!
Love precuts! That being said, I also love sew alongs and have participated in too many to count. Not all are finished quilts, but that’s ok …they will be some day…..
I love, love, love this quilt! And Iโm VERY excited about the fabrics!!! (Are these the ones we saw stacked in your studio during the Grand Opening tour?) I enjoy doing quilt alongs. My hint is to do a quilt along with another quilting friend and keep each other accountable to keep up and get it finished!! My friend Karla and I have done several in this way! Thank you Lisa for always giving us so many fun options to keep stitching something new and exciting!!!
I love quilt a longs, I try to do 2 to 3 a year. The quilt and colors are just beautiful, I might have to do this one. My favorite flowers are my Lilac bush and my Honeysuckle Vine, they both smell so good for so long.
Iโve done a couple of the wool quilt alongs and have enjoyed them. My favorite flower is a peony because they were my grandmas favorite and they smell so good too!
Love quilt alongs !they keep me on track so I dont get too distracted by all the beautiful quilts to make. I try to do at least 2 a year. I will ne defimately participating!
I think the bundle would be a wonderful 50th birthday present for myself on Dec 30th!
I have participated in 4-5 sew alongs and I love the look of this quilt. My favorite flowers are yellow roses but if I had a choice, I would take an armload of everything imaginable in a riot of color! This quilt will certainly fulfill that choice. Looking forward it!
Yes, I love quilt alongside. If you canโt meet in person, these are the best and I love learning new techniques. I have participated in at least five quilt alongโs that I can remember off the top of my head!
Yes I love Quilt alongs even though I keep up mostly and then I still finish up late, but I do finish and I enjoy the journey. Havenโt decided about this one. Will have to learn a bit more.
There have been QALs that Iโve wished to do but have been hesitant to sign up afraid of meeting the monthly fees. So far, have always bought my project needs all at once. As far as a favorite flower I havenโt planted 1 I didnโt love. Some just require more care.
I have quilted along 9 or so times. Iโm trying to work on my ufos and not start anything new. I just purchased urban farmhouse gatherings book and fabric for a quilt so Iโm not doing a very good job. ๐๐
Beautiful quilt-have done quilt alongs. My favorite flowers are hibiscus. I can bring one-or two-in and put it in a vase in my kitchen window. You don’t need water in them –they last one day and are big and beautiful. I had 10 red blooms on one plant today!!
I have done a few quilt a longsโฆ it really helps me focus and meet new people.. even if it is onlineโฆit helps me get through moving to a new area until I make new friends. My favorite flower is the magnolia..mainly because I was brought up in the South and when my husband and I were married, the church ladies lined the shelves of the church in magnolia leaves. Whenever we have moved to a new house, my husband has always planted a magnolia tree or bush to remember that special day!
Garden Gatherings line is beautiful! Beautiful colors. Iโve done several mystery quilt alongs. These are fun if working on many blocks because only needs to make a few or so a month. Lilac is my favorite flower!
Beautiful fabrics and the QAL is gorgeous and I look forward to participating. My favorite flower is the daisy – friendship and sunshine. Thank you for the friendships and sunshine you bring to us.
Peonies are my favorite as they hold so many of my treasured memories. My grandparents grew them in their garden, and after they passed and their home was sold, I got a couple of the plants from their garden. I have moved them from house to house as we move.
Have never participated in a quilt along. This one looks interesting but I won’t be participating as I am preparing a move from our large family home to a smaller one-level empty nest/widow home.
Favorite flower is geranium. Have a couple of your kits with them but not yet started.
I do love quilt alongs! I have done Moda Blockheads 1 and 2 and am looking forward to this one. I placed an order today for the fabric. Looks wonderful.
Love the colors in this line. Quilt is beautiful! I have never joined a sew along. I work full time and have always been afraid that I wouldnโt be able to keep up and would get discouraged. This looks like one Iโd really enjoy!
I have finished one quilt along and have 2 more to do. Yes I will be joining this one. Cannot resist. My favorite flowerd are dahlias. They bloom all summer and so many colors.
This looks like a really fun quilt to do a quilt along with! I have done quilt alongs in the past but not lately! Sometimes I gather the clues and wait till I can do them when I have more time! The Garden Gatherings fabric is so pretty, will make a gorgeous quilt!!!
Thank you so much for the wonderful opportunity to win these glorious fabrics and participate in your quilt along, Lisa & Val!! As I am still new to quilting, I have only participated in one so far! I love so many flowers, but I think my favorites are Hollyhocks!! They are such an old fashioned flower and my Granddaughterโs name is Holly!!
Yes, I love quilt alongs…they have kept me happy (and used up lots of treasures in my stash) during the past two years. I have finished three quilts, am working on the last block of a fourth, and have two more bookmarked online for the new year.
I have only done two Quilt Alongs but I feel those quilts turned out perfect because of the easy to follow instructions. Looking forward to the Meet Me In the Garden quilt because it just looks explosive!!
I love the quilt alongs. They are so much fun and I anxiously await the next one. My favorite flower is the sunflower because it’s so cheerful and makes me feel so happy.
I love Quilt Alongs, but I seem to get way behind. Love your fabrics and always seeing your versions of the Moda BH blocks. Your tutorials are great. Would love to win the fabrics.
I have done a couple of mystery quilt alongs, and a couple of quilt alongs with patterns pre-announced. It is a lot of fun to see how others quilts differ based on their color choices and adaptations. I won’t be able to join you on this beautiful one, since I have gotten very behind in my finished vs started quilts ratio.
I would love to use this fabric line in one of your older patterns, Penny Pincher. I have many projects and QALs in the ready to start phase, just too little time, and too many quilts.
Quilt alongs are a great way to feel part of a group with the same excitement as you have – you donโt need to meet in person to feel like you belong – I look forward to joining in more as time permits.
I am so addicted to QALs ! I absolutely love sewing along with so many talented quilters and safe at home at the same time ! Iโve been involved with twentyish sew alongs, some not finished. Thatโs ok. Valโs quilt is absolutely stunning as is the Garden Gathering fabrics. So excited to begin ! Fabric ordered !
My favorite flower is the Morning Glory. My Grandma had them all along the sides of her house. They remind me of my childhood and especially of her ! โค๏ธ
Happy quilting everyone !
I’ve done a couple of quilt alongs and I learn something new with each one. I’m trying to decide on this one. I love peonies, daffodils, and tulips. I can’t decide between them.
I absolutely love the zinnias that we have in our garden and pots around the driveway….they are so pretty! We get all colors. I love that they seem to continually grow out of the center to form a huge ball of petals.
I like quilt alongs because of the nice pace and the variety of blocks, plus sometime learning a new technique. I love this rainbow collection of fabrics and the wonderful little prints!
It’s hard to pick just one favorite flower as I love them all. Each has its own beauty but i’ll have to go with petunias because I plant around 500 plants every spring to enjoy all summer long!!!
Favorite flower, well, each one I see is my favorite. I love all flowers! Being a new quilter, I have followed a few quilt-a-longs, but have not actually sewn one. Maybe this will be the first!
I have not yet participated in a quilt along, mostly because I feel I won’t be able to keep current. This one is beautiful and looks to be more challenging. Oh, and my favorite flower is the daffodil.
I think I didn’t do my first comment correctly. So here goes again. I have done 3 QAL. American Gatherings Flag, Fall Crazy Quilt and Let it Snow. I loved them all. Thank you and Merry Christmas!!
I love quilt alongs and try to do them but that doesnโt always happen! I love the colors of the new fabric line coming out and the new book! My favorite flower is Purple Coneflower!
LOVE the medallion quilt! I’ve done a few quilt alongs, Mostly mysteries. I don’t think I’ve ever finished a quilt as designed but really enjoyed the process and seeing everyone else’s progress. FYI, my favorite flower are calle lilies.
Not sure if Triangle Gatherings was considered a QAL; it is on my guest bed now. I love all flowers, but it’s hard to top a field full of Texas blubonnets!
It is a beautiful quilt & very unique. I love the small & many blocks as it is the type of quilt you can do along with other projects & if you fall a little behind you can always catch up…
I’ve only done 2 sew-alongs & loved them!! I started Moda Blockheads 3 when I fell in love with block 11 & it truly helped me survive Covid. I looked forward to a new block every Wednesday & couldn’t wait to get sewing. I was also super inspired by the designers & other sewers on Facebook. Then, I participated in the FQS Sewcialites sew-along & loved that too! I challenged myself with the 3″ blocks & now have a tiny wallhanging that I love!! I know I’d enjoy your sew-along because the quilt & fabrics are stunning!
Hello!! I have been quilting for 20+ years but have only done one quilt along! So tempted to join this one, itโs beautiful & the perfect quilt for a quilt along! Hmmmmmโฆโฆ..
Beautiful quilt! I’m just getting back into quilting after a long break and I am a beginner. I will join in even though there will be many firsts for me. I look at it as very challenging, but I will learn so many new techniques. I just watched the you tube video and now i’m very excited to start. Off to buy the fabric kit…..
Hi Lisa, I love quilt alongs, I am pretty new and a novice, but I participated in your last one for Hogs for Heros (of course I am not done yet) but enjoyed watching and following the videos. I have also participated with FQS in some of their stitch alongs. I will plan to participate in this one too. Cathy Brock
Quilt alongs are such fun! I’m especially excited for this one – it’s hard to find king size quilt patterns, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen one done as a quilt along!
Iโve participated in at least 10 QALs and love them! Definitely will be jumping onboard with this one too, I love the new fabric line! My favorite flower is a calla lily.
I have never done a quilt along but this looks like sooo much fun! The fabrics are gorgeous. I know I have always wanted to make Theresaโs tulipsโฆ this fabric is perfect. Favorite flowerโฆ the hydrangeaโฆ my garden is full of them.
What a beautiful quilt! Even though I have been quilting for many years, I have never done a quilt along. I may have to do this one, especially since it has the look of a medallion quilt. I have been wanting to do a medallion quilt as my next big quilting project anyway. I love most flowers and always have a large amount of flowers in pots and flowerbeds each summer. If I had to choose just one though, it would definitely be the peony!
When you can’t be there in person, the quilt along can make us feel like we are a group/class. I enjoy them because they keep us motivated to keep going. I love to see how others progress on the same project.
Another gorgeous fabric line! Have done a couple of quilt-alongs, but am always behind, so love the accompanying videos to help get caught up! ๐
Favorite flowers – hydrangeas.
Love this this beautiful fabric line!!! Favorite flowers are sunflowers, tulips, zinnia and Columbine- like fabric it is too hard to pick just one favorite!!!
Beautiful quilt, beautiful fabrics! I did three qal in 2020 when we stayed home. Still need to finish up one plus many other UFOs! I’ll have to see how much I finish!
My favorites are Sunflowers and Roses!! I grow them each year and enjoy them so much! QALs are so much fun – Iโve probably done 7 or 8, not all are finished, but someday!!!
The new fabric line is beautiful and the QAL will be fun – canโt wait!
I have done I think 8 but have trouble finishing sometimes! Always great plans to keep up but LIFE gets in the way!! ๐ Favorite flower white lilies!!
Beautiful new fabric line. Also love the quilt!
Iโve only done a few QALs. I have a hard time keeping up. But it is fun to follow along and I hope to finish the quilts at some point.
Oh my goodness, I canโt resist a giveaway!
I have participated in many quilt-alongs. I havenโt decided if I will join this one.
My favorite flowers are Bleeding Hearts. I am an animal lover and have planted Bleeding Hearts atop each one of my beloved pets final resting place. The bleeding hearts are a symbol of my great love and profound heartache for my pets that have crossed over the rainbow bridge.
Hi! I have participated in 4 QALS. I have been quilting since 1975, but worked as an RN for 30 yrs., and didn’t get a lot of quilting time, so have many to finish! The fabrics are gorgeous. I’d love to win them. Flower? GARDENIAS!
I enjoy quilt-a-longs, but have never actually finished one yet. I always have so many projects in the works. The new one here looks fabulous, however, so I hope it’s one I get finished. Gardenias have special memories for me, but I haven’t met a flower I didn’t like – even dandelions!
Just finishing the Flag sew along. I have done several SBOW and BOM. Love this one as I make bed size quilts and I donโt have to work at enlarging. Happy colors. Janice
I have done 3 quilt alongs. Used to work and was hard to find the time to do one. Still have one with lots of applique I am working on. I am planning on doing this quilt along. I love sampler type quilts. I also love shirtings.
I love quilt a longs! It’s fun to have something to look forward to every month/sometimes every week – especially in these times of being shut-in so much. I love the new fabric line. My favorite flower is Stargazer Lily.
Iโve done three quilt alongs with you. One wool appliquรฉ and two pieced quilts I always learn something new even though Iโve been quilting for a long time.
What a beautiful quilt. Thank you to you and Val. Iโve done one qal with you Lisa and 8+ with other designers. I rarely participate during a qal but purchase the fabrics and book/pattern if applicable and save all for later. I do follow along and watch all the videos at the time they are posted then when Iโm ready to make the quilt I will rewatch the videos again. I like to work on things in my own time.
I will not be joining in on this qal but will follow its progress.
Sincerely, Debbie Brugman
I would absolutely love to QAL ! Just wondering if we have to buy a pattern or is this QAL free? This quilt is gorgeous! Thank you for this opportunity to make a beautiful quilt.
I love QALs even though I am rarely able to keep up. I have been participating in them for over 10 years and find that being part of a QAL makes me more likely to finish. I am looking forward to this one – I love the new line and Val’s pattern is great! I really like the way she changed the direction of the log cabin blocks in the sewn version that was hanging behind her in the video. This is going to be a gorgeous quilt!
I don’t know if I can get started on another stitch-a-long project, but since it doesn’t start until next summer, I might get some of my current projects finished by then!! My favorite flower is a lily – I absolutely love their fragrance.
I like that you know in advance what the design will look like for a quilt-along, as opposed to a mystery quilt. I’m just too controlling – ha ha! My fav flower are sunflowers.
Valโs quilt is FABULOUS! I have never participated in a quilt a long. I made two projects using the first flower garden line and love them. The book looks fantastic!!! What a generous giveaway!!!
I have completed 5 SAL. It does keep me motivated and on track to complete a project. I really like the SAL that will be coming up. I will have to see if I have time to add this to my schedule.
I’m pretty new to QAL’s and have only done two. I prefer those that aren’t a mystery, seeing the finished quilt is important to me. The colors in the new collection are wonderful!
I am looking forward to next year’s QAL. When I read it was a king size quilt I knew I have to make it. The fabric is very pretty, looking forward to seeing all the prints.
I’ve done probably a dozen or so quilt a-longs. Some I finish right away, some still aren’t done, but I love them. This is a beautiful line of fabric! And I love the design and I plan to participate. Medallion style quilts are so fun to make.
Yes I want to join this QAL! My favorite flower is a purple and yellow iris, it was my late motherโs favorite and I look forward to every spring when they bloom!
Yes, I love QALs and have done several this year. I do not like mysteries, though. Your fabrics are beautiful, and this quilt would be perfect for my home. Favorite flower has to be Alstroemeria known as the Lily of the Incas. Hearty to grow, long-lasting as a cut flower and so many beautiful colors. They are easy to find at your local florist, grocer and those big box stores.
I need a QAL to maintain my sanity. This year has been beyond stressful and I am thankful you are doing this great quilt pattern. Love your patterns and fabric lines.
I love quilt-alongs! I have did about 6. I would love to do this one if I have time. I am a RN at a hospital so things have been very busy there. Your quilt and fabrics are lovely! I will definitely try to sew along as sewing is my favorite thing to do during my free time.
I have not done a quilt along….
my favorite flower is “Forget-me-not”. My 10 year granddaughter brought me a bouquet of wild forget-me-nots that she had picked the day that my mother passed away… her great-grandma, someone she knew and loved very much.
I love the quilt alongs! Ive only done 2 on my own but I helped my Grandma with a bunch of hers! My favorite one that I helped her finish was Snow Days done with all the Japanese fabrics! I am very tempted to join this one but have to see if it’s in the cards after Christmas. The fabrics just speak to me and I love the line โค As for the flower pick I love them all but Carnations and Snapdragons hold a very dear place in my heart
I have not done a QA. I love PG’s fabric and the shirtings are calling my name. I love all flowers, marvel at the uniqueness of color and shape … nature’s miracle, but my favorites are succulents.
