Whoo hoo…rollin along…today block is Lynne’s from Kansas Troubles Quilters…Click HERE to get the pattern from Lynne’s blog…
While Flying Geese are not my favorite to make this block was fun and easy!!!
This weeks question…Do you display your quilts in your home? If so, how?…Don’t we all surround ourselves with what we love? There I go…answering a question with a question? But really I don’t know any quilter who isn’t covering or planning to cover all the horizontal or vertical flat spaces in their home. In my home there are soooooo many windows, so not a lot of walls space to hang quilts…so I have to think of creative ways to get them out of the cupboards & closets and into the rooms…Its an early stormy morning and I’m on my way to walk through the house to see where the quilts are…We had a wonderful day with two sewing groups with a total of 45 quilters meeting here last night so the house is nice and clean!
Starting with the my sewing room as that is where I currently am blogging to you…ok…I could have picked this room up a little better…but I know you all understand…
Then the rest of the upstairs…
Upper outdoor living porch
Guest bedrooms The king size quilt hanging in the stairwell…Jeter..photo bombing probably wondering why I am doing this so early in the morning…lol…
living room…sorry there is not a lot of light in this room
kitchen..
master bedroom….Nick was still sleeping so I didn’t take a pic of the bed…
lower outdoor living porch
quilt closet- most of these are antiques I have collected over the years…You could literally spend a day in here…
Thanks for staying this long and hanging out with the quilts current in my home…
Oh Lisa, I am loving that big king size star with the anchor in it. Is that your pattern or is a commercial one that I could purchase? you have such a beautiful home and to be right on the water is a true bonus. Thanks for the tour.
We had the winds and rain about 2:30 this morning but woke up to sunshine. I love your quilts about the house and I’m really impressed with the hangers! Can you give us more info on those beautiful hangers? Are they metal? They seem to be very sturdy. Also the wall with the little quilts is soooo coool! They look to be hung by old yardsticks. Can you tell us more about that? All our efforts seem to go into the quilts with little thought about how to display them when they are done. Your home is lovely and I think you have a good balance of quilts displayed along with the gorgeous views. I vote big windows every time! Thanks for sharing your great ideas and beautiful home.
Oh wow your beautiful lake home is a little piece of heaven……I hope you have many happy years there…won’t Lil’man have wonderful memories??? Happy Sewing
Wow, love your quilt displays in your sewing room. Noticed you have yardsticks across the wall with clips on them to hang the small quilts, Please tell me about the clips and where to get them.
Lisa Thank you so much for posting and bringing joy into the live of the quilters that follow you. I do not know how you get done what you do, but am glad you are taking time to enjoy your family and friends. Someday I may have the pleasure of meeting you but know in the meantime you are making a difference. Thanks for all you do. Cathy
Lisaaaa!! I am TOTALLY in love how you decorated your home using your quilts! You should be on HGTV 🙂 Can you come over to my house and help me out??? :))))) Seriously though, just so BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Your home is lovely Lisa!! And all your quilts… wow! Just wow! And that view of the water… where do you live?? And the two living porches!! Oh my! I’d be tempted to set up my featherweight at that gorgeous wood table downstairs and sew there on a stormy (or sunny) day!! Thank you for sharing with us!!! Warmly, Pris in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho
Thank you for sharing your quilt displays. You’ve given me some ideas, now that I am quilting more for myself and less for my large extended family.(although there will always be more quilts made for and needed by them, too!)
Since you asked, what about an old-fashion wooden ladder that you could make with widely spaced rungs to hang your quilts on? Thank you for the beautiful tour of your quilts and the way you have them displayed. Hello from Iowa.
Thank you for letting us into your home! I love the wall quilt hangers, can you share where others can find them? They are certainly more modern looking than the oak I have had for years! Also your ‘quilt room’ is a sight to behold!!!
Thanks Lisa for having me in your home, for the fun gift and the inspiration of ideas. It was a lovely evening. Your home and quilts are so beautiful! All your hard work and generosity has truly made you successful. Keep it up:) Thanks again!
Lisa, I echo all the above comments concerning your beautiful home, quilt displays, and questions. What lake is this? I’m pretty old – maybe I could become your adopted Grandma?!!!
Ditto and ditto and WoW!! Love the quilts and love the way you display them in your home. I have been wondering about the yardsticks too and wonder how you have mounted them and about the clips. Maybe you could share some of those inquiring mind questions. Thank you for everything. Mostly your talent and sharing!!
How spectacular to see your life’s work in every room! What talent! Not to mention the outside views. Even in the gloominess, the quilts just make it cozy! Thanks for all you do! Cynthia
Absolutely, beautifully, amazing!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!!

Loved getting to see how you display quilts in your home. Thank you for the tour. I also was curious about the clips you are using on the yard sticks and wondered if you could show a close up picture.
Thanks for sharing all of your amazing quilts. I, too, am always looking for more space to display the quilts I’ve made…..not on a scale as grand as yours……but I have very little wall space left!! LOL. And I would savor the opportunity to spend a day in your quilt closet……….I LOVE that happy space!!!!!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. Love it all. I’m interested in the little window in your quilt closet. Is that so you can see whose at the door?
Lisa, your quilts are all amazing ! And the way you have displayed them in your home is beautiful. Thank you for always sharing your gift with all of us!
Hi Lisa, your home is gorgeous, and the quilts fill it with an aura of warmth and beauty. I like to lay my quilts over the furniture too, so one can grab and cuddle with them if desired. Though no where near as many as you, partly because I need to finish several of them, lol. I like where you hung your king Anchor quilt. Your quilt closet is a quilter’s dream. Nice to see them being enjoyed. Hugs, Jakey.
BEAUTIFUL, WONDERFUL, LOVE, PEACE,PRAY, THANK YOU FOR SHARING, ! Nancy😊🐦👓

HI Lisa, what lovely photos!! I have an antique apple ladder where I change out, seasonally, smaller quilts and holiday table runners. Fortunate enough to have a balcony and usually hang 3 quilts at a time, also changing seasonally. Could you please tell me what you call those neat wrought Iron rods that swing out from the wall from which you hang some folded quilts? I would love to find those to purchase. Are they custom curtain rods? Thanks in advance for reading and answering!
You have a beautiful home. The love you have for your home and quilts is visible in each picture. Thank you for sharing your home. Your husband must be a blessing and a right hand for you. Thank you June
I literally just placed an order for Sunflowers and then read your blog. Oh well. Next time I’ll check the blog first . Haha. Glad you’re able to be home and enjoying Anchor Point, family and friends.
Love all your quilts thru out your home. And your quilt room is to die for. Wondering if the wrought iron mini quilt rack on your table is something you sell at the store? You are such an inspiration. Wish I could get half as much done in a week as you do. Wish we were doing the retreat in November again this year at your retreat house with Vickie and Gloria. North Carolina sounds wonderful but I can’t make it work this year. Thanks for all you do.
I love it that you love what you do! And you have a beautiful sense of creating a loving living environment. I would say I love all your quilts, but I don’t think I can type ‘love’ that my times!!! Everything is awesome! Good for you!!!
