WARNING…I kinda switched my block around a bit….not on purpose…but when you switch the background color…it kinda messes you up a bit…anyway…I am keeping it this way…I actually love it!!!! If you need to get the directions for this week block you need to pop on over to Betsy HERE…but while you are here you may want to read down to the end!
HERE IS PDF for THE CUTTING FOR BLOCK 3-MBH3-Block 3
or here they are if you do not want to download them….
Block 3- Crown & Star- 4” block Cutting Sizes
A-4- 1 1/2″” squares
B -12- 1” squares
C-2-2 ¼” square cut in half twice diagonally
D-4- 1”x 1 ½” rectangles
E-1-1 1/2” square
F-8-1 3/8” squares cut in half once diagonally-* see note below…… If using TP to make HST you will still need 4 of these cut in half once to make Flying Geese with C unit.
G-4-1 3/8” squares cut in half once diagonally-*see note below
H-4-1 3/8” squares cut in half once diagonally
*F&G could be made using triangle papers ½” finished—remember 1 square of triangle paper makes 2 HSTs.
Happy Stitching!
NOTE: Do not attempt to make these 4” squares unless you have saturated your fabrics with heavy starch…let them dry naturally…and then… iron them with steam to get them ready for cutting.
