Love your posts on Blockhead 3 – I am doing 6 inch blocks.
4 inch blocks seem to be a step too far for me but I am in awe of your ability with such small scraps of fabric!
That sounds like the perfect book for me as I have been cleaning and found oh so many things I had forgotten about and I want to use up every bit of it!!!Thank you so much for the giveaway!!
Absolutely love the cover of “Sisterhood of Scraps”!!! It is so ingenious! Have always thought scrap quilts are the greatest – they are full of so many stories to be told! May your life in quilting continue to be filled with blessings!
I am travelling and the only way I can keep quilting is by virtual methods, is. Reading blocks and plotting my quilting for when I get home. Can’t wait to start there bocks. I really like the little size of yours. Here is hoping!
Of course, if I don’t win I’ll order from my LQS because I see too many of them going under. Thanks for all you do and I am in LOVE with Primitive Gatherings prints. They are my go to for so many projects. Thanks for always thinking of your customers and for the fabulous give away!
This book is on my to buy list but my store doesnโt have it yet. Therefore winning would be nice as I like so many of the quilts. Thanks for the opportunity.
Beautiful quilts, good variety and fantastic colors. Quilt shops are the best and too many are closing. Very sad. I would love to win this book. Thank you!
That book is on my wish list. I am a quilt book collector and I love to browse and dream. I am loving your four inch blocks. Thanks for giving additional tips and cutting instructions.
This is my first year of participating in BlockHeads, and I am having so much fun. Thank you, and all the other designers, for the work you do each week for all of us………..and thank you for your 4″ instructions! They are great!
Love how your BH3 block 3 came out! And thank you for the video. So fun to see the quilts up close. And thank you for the chance to win the Sisterhood book.
I had just looked at her blog today, her red and cream is pretty. Would love to win her book. I am lucky enough to have a sisterhood of wooly/sewing/knitting friends, that gather monthly to share, sew and enjoy a meal in each other’s homes. It is so wonderful to have a group of girlfriends that we can share stuff with, life’s uphills and downhills for all of us. We all met in a quilting guild so many years ago, and have become such wonderful friends. I encourage everyone to join and participate in your local guilds, you will gain such wonderful friendships!
I love your blog and as my husband says……I have a very health relationship with PG. LOL I love your designs. So nice of you to give this book away! It looks like a winner!!
I loved the close-up shots of the Sisterhood of Scraps quilts from the book. The prints and quilting textures are stunning from afar and astounding up close. I would love to win this book! I do not live nearby but orders from your shop are always filled promptly.
Thank you for the video tour of the quilts in this book!! I want it even more now because those are exquisite! I would be thrilled to win this autographed book!
Thanks for the chance to win this book…love all your blog and all of your projects.
Scrap quilts are my favorite and I have enough fabric in my closet to last me forever!
Quilting sisters are the best…
Don’t have any biological sisters, so I would love to join the Sisterhood of Scraps. Hoping to win a copy of this beautiful book. P.S. Lisa, your 4″ blocks are driving me crazy (in a good, challenging way!).
Me, me, me!!!! I want to win this wonderful book! Lisa, I look forward to reading all your emails! Yes, we need to keep the quilt shops open so I purchase from local quilt shops! Too many are closing which is really sad!
I’d love to win that book! The quilts are amazing!
Also love seeing your little 4″ blocks but too little for me. I don’t have the patience for those tiny pieces. LOL!
Oh Sista, how I would LOVE to win this book. It is so cool that it is a signed copy. I too am enjoying Blockheads 3. I learn so much from these sew-alongs. Thank you.
Started quilting a year ago and am like a sponge, absorbing all I can to learn the techniques to create beautiful expressions using fabric. Grateful for the opportunity to win this book!
Thank you for offering this signed copy of the new book, what fun it would be to win it. And thank you for posting the measurements for the 4″ blocks, I won’t make all of them that small but I will be making some of them and you make it so much easier
I resort to the internet Giant, only after checking my local shops and requesting that they order the item in for me. If, and only if, they cannot order for me (due to a minimum quantity required or something similar) I then resort to the internet Giant. In Western PA, weโve lost at least SEVEN shops in the last few years. Iโd rather wait a few days and go pick it up, (who knows what else I might find while Iโm there…!) than watch my local shop go under and contribute to it!
Oh, my, gosh, every quilt is a stunner. Adding to my to do list! (which is already several pages long ๐ ). I would be honored to win this book. Thanks for offering the giveaway! fingers crossed…
thank you for doing the 4 inch blocks. I just love reading your blog . I wish i lived closer so i could come and visit your shop … maybe someday??? Thanks for the tips on how to do the blocks.
Looks like I’ll be using triangle paper on this block. So much fun! Did the other two BlockHeads and looking forward to seeing this one finished. Thanks for the chance on the Sisterhood book.
And, LOVE the bi-monthly Wool Boxes; and the holiday box – Excellent! Two caramels are never enough. Guess I’ll have to order some from your website or chew slower as I make my way through all the fun things in the box.
I could not agree more with your assessment of ordering on line. We need all the wonderful things our local quilt shops offer and we need to support them. Thanks for the chance to win the book. It looks like another winner.
I would so enjoy winning this book!!! Our local quilt shops are very important to the quilting community-we need to visit them regularly!!!! Whenever I visit my sister in Wild Rose WI we make a trip to Appleton-Menasha and visiting Primitive Gatherings is always a must!!! Love your shop and all your designs.
To me a quilt book is a treasure to enjoy over and over again. A SIGNED copy is a cherished keepsake to be passed to the next generation. I remain hopeful…..
Sisterhood of Scraps… what a wonderful name for the book!
I didnโt see this book in your booth at R2CA.
I did purchase a book though in scraps.
This one looks great! I hope I win it.
Thank you ๐
The video was wonderful – thank you for sharing all that inspiration! Of course, I would love to have a copy – will wait and see if I have to order it???
My favorite quilt from the cover is the top row right, the pretty pink one. I love it! I like all the quilts, that one just reaches out to me. Do you sign books that you have quilts in? I have a blue and white quilts book with one of your quilts in it, and wanted to know if I sent it to you, would you sign it for me?
Love it! One way or the other, I’m getting this book! Scraps are like people, they CAN work well together even when it seems they don’t appear to agree.
I agree with you about putting the shops out of business. I have had a struggle with notions since the “J” store is 14 miles away. Let’s all think ahead and keep our local quiltshops in business. I am a small shop in KY but I have wonderful prices. I would also like to have the book. Paula in KY
I would love to win Lissaโs book and join the Sisterhood of quilters , though I do believe I have been in it awhile already. Thank you for your generous offer.
In the pictures you posted from the sit and sew there is a project that Kay completed of a Cardinal on a limb. Does anyone know the name of the project?
I follow your blog and have learned so much from you about sewing little blocks. This book is on my wish list, if I win it Iโll have more money to spend on my quilting!
I would love to win a signed copy. I’ve been debating on picking it up at my local quilt shop. I don’t like shopping on Amazon because you never know what you’re going to get.
I love scrap quilts!! One of the most amazing quilts I have seen is one made by a friends aunt It was tiny nine patches all stitched by hand with the tiniest of stitches and had been stored unfinished for forty years I encouraged her to have it quilted put the binding on for her and she now has a quilt that gives her joy Canโt wait to use some of my scraps to make any of those quilts either by winning or buying Thank you for all you do
I enjoy sewing and quilting for my family and friends. Never have done entered anything in a contest or fair. Just enjoy for myself and friends, and family. Thanks for all you do.
The Sisterhood brought to my life by shared love of quilts and fabric has truly blessed me. My โSistersโ are โscrappyโ…different colors, styles, values and tones, some quiet, some bold, some orderly, some asymmetric. Some love applique, some piecing, some art quilts, and others traditional. Yet, we are bonded together with a common love of quilts. And now a love for each other…Sisterhood! I would be delighted to win the book!
Iโve had my eye on this book since I first saw it. Scrap quilts are the ones that get used and loved the most therefore I NEED this book! I have the scraps!
Lisa, I have a question on Blockheads 3, this weeks (Betsy’s) block. I am making the 4″ blocks, and am following your color placement. For this weeks block, should the dark I use for the background be a different dark then one of the darks I plan to use for the settings/sashings? From the picture you posted it looks like we will use two different darks and a light for putting the blocks together. Thanks….
I would love to win The Sisterhood of Scraps by Lissa Alexander! There are so many quilts in this book that I would love to make. Thanks for the chance to be in the drawing. I appreciate all of your hard work and generosity for us all. Thank you.
I so enjoyed seeing you at Road. The display of The Sisterhood of Scraps was a great chance to see the quilts in the book. It was also fun to see the master at work. All of those sheep you were stitching couldnโt be cuter!
Iโve been eying The Sisterhood of Scraps book as a birthday present for myself. But my birthday isnโt until summer. Amazon can NEVER replace a visit to a good quilt shop.
I love quilt shops and will always appreciate the customer service they provide. Thanks to you Lisa and your team for always being so friendly and helpful when I call in a panic from New Jersey !!
Lisa you are so talented,it is inspirational following your blog. I especially love your fabrics. I would love to get in the drawing for this great new collaborative book ! Thankyou for hosting the giveaway.
Such a lovely new book! Thank you for your generosity in providing a giveaway. I really admire your creativity, Lisa, and your generosity in teaching and tips to make the rest of us more successful.
Scrappy quilts are the best! It would be a nice book own. We have to support our local quilt shops whether we shop in person or their online website. If we quilters don’t support our quilt shops – who will?? It’s a must – hands down. I just love your website but I have to confess that I first go to my local quilt shop and if they don’t carry what I’m looking for then I resort to online quilt store shoppping. Thank you for the opportunity to win this lovely book.
Dolores
Oh my goodness, I didn’t know you were going to be at your booth!! I was at Road this last week and got to see the quilts: I love them all and will certainly be “needing” that book!! Thanks for the chance to win it! ๐ Hugs, H
Would love to win a scrap book…I don’t have one! Love Love Love all your projects. I am doing the Moda Blocks with you and working on my Sheep from my Create Tin! Plus numerous other things I have purchased from you….Love the Hydrangeas too!
First off, thank you for making 4 inch block information available for those that don’t already have them!
This book has been on my shopping list since it came out. I love scrap quilts, yet find it sooo much easier to accumulate the fabrics than figure out how to use them.
Fabric scraps make me happy. Scraps quilts when finished always make me want to sing and dance. A chance to win a signed copy of this great book has me doing a happy dance. Thank you for a chance to win!
What fun you and Lissa must have had. Thank you for your additional instructions to the block heads. I like your oopsie and your upfront honest communication! Thanks for opportunity to win the book. It will be enjoyed by whoever wins!
Squeeeeeeee Iโm so excited about the Blockheads 3! Iโve seen the others but never played along, but I am this year. Going today to get some background fabrics and get started. My favorite quilts are scrappy so Iโd love to be in the Sisterhood!
Thanks Lisa!
