its time to start making the wedding quilt!

My youngest Jake, (who some of you met in Paducah) has asked his girlfriend of many years(since they have been in high school) to “Marry him” last Saturday night…they met us on Sunday at the boat and told us…we then went out for dinner with them and Lauren’s parents, Bill and Gretchen to “celebrate”…it is so nice to come home to good news…here is a pic of the happy couple…other than this news, I have been cleaning closets and working on quilting my all wool quilt along with the BOW!

Keep Stitching! …now what kind of quilt am I going to make for Jake and Lauren…should it be “my style” or theirs…maybe a combination….but I better start now…there is no date yet but you know how fast it will be here…LB

Deposited at the airport…

I am here at MCI airport waiting to go home….there is no place like home…today’s workshops were also a good time…my students all passed and got to keep their little charm pack for good behavior…lol…here is what they were working on…

Last nights adventures…

Last night after teaching the “Wool” class we all went out to Greenwood MO…to antique shop and eat at the good Italian restaurant that we always eat at…it is fun to hang out with all the other teachers and students who come year after year and then the new students who are most excited to be here….we had a few glasses of wine and just gabbed…like we were all longtime friends and known each other for many years…it is amazing to me how easily it is to make friends JUST because we are quilters…there are limitless discussions and of unlimited topics to be discussed….then Rene got reprimanded by the hotel staff to keep it down and we soon departed, for tomorrow was another day of fun, I mean work… (smile)…..LIfe is good!
Here are my new treasures I will be bringing home…it’s been a long time since I got to antique shop….oh hey…$55 bucks for the quilt top…..SCORE, just happens to be the same pattern I am Hand piecing……
