Congratulations to Janet Knapp of Minnesota on her Victory Garden quilt… She received a Judges recognition award at the AQS show in Paducah KY, for her version of my quilt design… Janet did an awesome job on her quilt….hope this will inspire those of you who are still working on yours..

Opening day in Paducah (Quilt City USA)
I can’t wait to see everyone today…remember we are on Kentucky Ave in the Fincle building were the AQS hurt book sale is…that means $5 books…..This is one of the top 3 of our favorite shows…so much to do here…and the quilt channel is on going… I wish that was a real channel on our national programming…can anyone out there make that happen?
Just a peek into our booth…
We have these cool travel items the shop girls made and kitted one is a caddy the other a portable ironing pad that also holds your warm travel iron…and then little accesory bags that can be used for sewing notions…or jewelry or snacks…endless possibilities….
We also have the Snowman Gathering fabric!!! We have pre-cuts as well as our half yards, which are buy 5 @ $5.50 each and get the 6th free! And yes this includes the new fabrics!!!!
There might also be a few more new things in here…just saying…

Booth is all set up in Cincinnati…
It is kind of dark in the convention center during set up so my pics are a little dark but you will get the idea of what we have along….our booth is front and center on the show floor…in the 500 isle…
Out booth special this show is buy 5 half yard at $5.50 each and get a 6th one free! So three yds of fabrics for $27.50! See all the per cut half yards below… We also have buy 12 ball of Valdani perle cotton for $55. that is like getting 2 balls free! you can pick your own 12 or we have prepackaged sets…
We also have a new quilt kit in the booth…it is called Camp Randall…it is kitted with 600 pre cut squares along with the background fabric for $140 in a primitive gatherings kit keeper,for you to start sewing right away! The quilt is 68×80…If you can’t make it to the show I am sure this is on our website…

Schaumburg IL show opens today!

Show hours are 10-6 on Thursday and Friday and 10-5:30 on Saturday. They also give away wonderful prizes at the end of the show everyday…you may go home with a new machine!
April…is here!!!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter…We had a wonderful meal with family and then watched TV the rest of the day and night…so really kind of relaxing….I have been teaching a lot lately…and have had wonderful students in ALL of my classes, this week…I was in Racine on Monday, Tuesday we had 2 classes with 30 new wool appliquers and then this is my “big stitch” quilting class from Saturday…We leaned proper basting and then worked on our rocking big stitches…here are some photos from class…There is nothing like hand quilting your quilts…
Then is was back to the Lakehouse…where the local Drive Inn opened this week….They have doggie sundaes….here is Jeter enjoying his…We are done with 10 out of our 12 quilts for our new book…2 more to go…so that is what I will be working on this week…can’t wait to show you them!!!
